    This is great. For those that say it is boring....two things, one, boredom sets into the boring mind, two, when you can hold each of these for 30 minutes, you can't tell me you are not stronger and more balanced...

    heheh the sound you hear comes from a machine nearby that digs out rocks. The valley in which the Shaolin Temple lies is protected by UNESCO. But in the surrounding area a lot of damage to the mountains is being done unfortunately.

      Doctor Galina Shatalova managed to cure several cancer patients and diabet patients and others with her system (way of living). However her books are mainly in the Russian language, one can find the summary in English in internet but there are much more. She also used Qigong, yoga and other kinds for treating.

    • @evilboy6693
      @evilboy6693 9 років тому +1

      +Hammas Harja clear your mind first and relax your body you'll be so focused you wont even shake ;)

    • @skaruts
      @skaruts 9 років тому +4

      +Hammas Harja As far as I know, that can happen for one of two reasons: either due to muscle tensing, as +Toruno Master mentioned, in which case relaxing the muscles may help; or due to not being used to this type of exercise. It may seem counter-intuitive but slow steady movements require a certain muscle precision and strength that our daily life or common exercises may not give us.
      You can see this happening by simply going down a set of stairs in two different ways. One normally as you always do, in which your legs don't shake, and then another time slowly, as if you were in a very slow motion. You will probably shake that second time.
      But don't worry about that stuff. Just do it however you can today and in a few days/weeks you won't shake anymore. Body strengthening logic is pretty simple: you push it, it grows stronger. And it doesn't take that much time to notice these smaller improvements.

    • @daboodeef179
      @daboodeef179 8 років тому +3

      it takes practice. calm the mind. place your mind on the lower dan tien. then relax your joints and open them up: hips, knees, then ankles. (as if the space between them is increasing a little). you want to establish basic body alignments and to relax because it will help develop internal energy as well as roots (if you practice enough). also, make sure your weight is going into the ground and not on your knees.

    I was hoping for something like this. I have a couple books on standing stance, but not easy to follow. This is much easier. But, as with all teachers, they forget certain things when teaching. What does 'Stand for a while' actually mean? 10seconds? 30? A minute? 3minutes? If you're going to teach something in this format, it shouldn't leave any questions like this. Just my humble opinion, no offence meant ;-)

    • @TheToneBender
      @TheToneBender 10 років тому +2

      they said "stand like this for 5-30 minutes" somewhere earlier in the video. so i guess that's "a while"

      The beginning for all kung fu in china is standing still while bending your legs a little bit to put all the pressure on your leg and hip. your stabilization and balance on the lower body is the beginning for all styles. You can try 20 minute a day until you get used to it and slowly adds up to hours, a shaolin monk could do the stand up for days, that's why it's very hard for person to hit Em and make them felt. A fight with martial art have constant involves with attack, block, Dodge, push, hidden strength(secret of Bruce lee's one inch punch), force conflict resolve strength(secret of taichi, which they can sense the most weak spot of force from your body, and puts that spinning technic to roll your strongest force to fight your weakest force in order to make you lose balance ) and all that is about force of strength against another force of strength, it involves constant change of movement, and you are not going to be fluent when you don't have the lower body balance. Once you felt on the ground, it takes you at least 2 second to reposition yourself, and the chances are, you are going to take a hell of beating when you felt.
