I heard that some ages before they didnt grow big muscles because the wasnt eating proteins,the didnt stop training so the muscles didnt have time to grow and they didn't care about muscles because they were making them slower . Did things change today ????
If you're into Qi Qong and Qi circulation, they say that heavy muscles can restrict the flow of the meridians. That would be another explanation, more on the traditional side.

Is the shaoLin temple a privately owned organization or is is government subsidized? Also do these kids participate in the usual academic schooling that other kids in China complete? Will they ever take the gaokao?
Apparently the ones Chinese government subsidizes is mainly for propaganda and stuff like that for more tourists to come, ie. The whole testicle brick smashing thing, spear piercing things. Those ones aren't real I'm pretty sure.

That's not shaolin temple actually that's a martial art school in which students are trained in large number. In shaolin temple training is not done in this type of military style

I hear there are alot of schools surrounding the actual temple itself, This may be one of them. I think alot are run by actual monks though.

If you take prana from breathing air you can grow muscles. You just need proper pranayama technique.

I think this one is privately owned, this temple is a true Shaolin temple.
