Baguio is really a resort city if you can afford it or if you are lucky to find long-term accomodation. You will need to compromise and consider an alternative city that will meet your budget, school, nature, clean air, cool seasons. Tagaytay is the next best place for your family.
The coldest time in Baguio which is similar to some parts of Korea is between December-February. When most of the crops get damaged due to extreme cold.
Baguio is my hometown. I plan to retire there. If you have trouble finding a place, we have a very humble two story home right off Camp 8 by the basketball court. It's an old home, but has its charm. The 1st floor is separated from the 2nd floor and has it's own small restroom with a shower.
I think your offer would be a great help to them especially that the kids will be joining school as well. Your place will be at least near the central business district. I hope the family will be able to notice your message.
I think this is cool. Camp 8 is near the town proper. I live here in Camp7 where Koreans live too but I'm not sure if there is a vacancy. I hope you can find one. But always check and don't trust anyone since lately, a lot of scammers are posting vacancies but upon checking, it's fake. Take care.

Baguio is overcrowded because it is the education center of the north, students from the different provinces came up to baguio to pursue their studies.
Baguio is really expensive. One option is for you to live in nearby La Union. Your kids can go to a school in San Fernando City (Lorma highschool, St louis College, etc). You can get a house rental in San Fernando City, Bauang or San Juan. It’s close to Baguio, cheaper, has beaches. But the weather of course is hot😬
I agree with this and most people in Baguio are students that's why most accomodations and rentals are seeking for long term stays like students that could stay in the city for at least 3-4 years. Another reason why baguio is crowded now is because of the two months vacation of the students, families can travel.
I have been watching all your vlogs since last year. But today is special because you are in my hometown. I was born and raise in Baguio City now I am living overseas and away in Baguio for the last 18 years. I am looking forward for your upload more now you are in my beloved city❤
I hope your beloved city learns to lessen cars like how some dense cities in the world do it. It could be only a bicycle riding city in some areas like Norway where they have lifts for bicycles for steep climbs. They need to solve the traffic as it’s worst than Manila, being a smaller city. Make it a walking and cycling city -government of Baguio.
Would you mind helping them by referring a place where they could stay, since you said you grew up there? You can, maybe contact an old friend from your previous neihgbor on where they could stay.

Baguio is the summer capital of the Philippines and is considered as one of the top tourist destinations especially for us Filipinos. It will be overcrowded during Christmas, Holidays, Holy Week, and February during the Flower Festival.

I agree with the many comments I have read with regards to finding a long-term rental area in Baguio. It is not easy to find one if you are looking for a place near the city centre, however, there’s a lot in the outskirts of the city. Getting assistance with the Korean community there will help tremendously because they have helped many families before especially for the families who sends their children to PH to learn English. Watching these vlogs makes me miss my hometown sooooo much. I reached out to my family members if they have any vacancies. We usually offer transients because we’re very near the city (lower brookside and cabinet hill)…

Good luck in finding your home. Try outside baguio city. If it's far from your kids school. There is always plenty of local transportation. They have to learn to use public transportation.
Baguio looks nice, the last time I was there I was only 10 years old. I just read up on the history of Baguio: It was developed in the early 1900’s by the Americans who took solace there from the heat and eventually engineered a road that led up there. They of course use the local tribes to do most of the work building the road to Baguio, hence the American names like Session Rd and Burnham Park. It would be nice to revisit Baguio again when I return there. It is a big tourists place too, prices are so high.
And most of the barangay names are in English like Greenwater, Hillside, Crystal cave, Scoutbario, Upper/lower Rockquarry, Outlookdrive, Minesview brgy, __hill....etc ,name it. hihihi.
Hello kababayan. Excited for this new vid! There is a korean community in Baguio. Try to visit woodnymph restaurant in military cut off and talk to the owner. Korean palace (buffet) as well in south drive. Most of the rental homes we found were away from city center. Like camp 7 woodsgate, eaglecrest subdivision, bakakeng ciudad grande and the like. The next options are usually apartments or condominiums. Megatower and goshen are famous names near town but do not have the same vibe. Hope you seaech around facebook baguio apartment groups, but be careful of online transactions. Location first.
Other korean communities. The korean mart in camp 7, seollem cafe, jic academy. Woodnymph, hodori, korean palace restaurants. KCP founders in la trinidad, town beside baguio. Youngsan Mission Center in Balacbac, a Bible school, big property, may help with connections. The korean community is not as big as before, but they will help you. I'm half korean so i can only refer. Just remember the first korean filipino architect in the ph, from baguio :)
If you want the same atmosphere but less crowded and more relaxing place try to visit TAGAYTAY, its a bit more expensive though but the place is great!

And most of the barangay names are in English like Greenwater, Hillside, Crystal cave, Scoutbario, Upper/lower Rockquarry, Outlookdrive, Minesview brgy, __hill....etc ,name it. hihihi.
During sunday that street is close for cars and there is so many events
Really wished you were able to check ILILIKHA ARTIST VILLAGE there along Assumption Road, beside Session Road you passed by.
