I bought this version of the book only for the lost days story. That might sound crazy but yeah the whole book was cheaper then the lost days stories I was able to find online.
@@spencerolson7045 not a terrible reason for the upgrade. This was my first opportunity to read lost days and I thoroughly enjoyed it
Judd Winnick is one of those solid pre-new52 DC writers who isn't talked about enough. I'm glad DC has shown him some love with this hardcover and the Green Arrow/Black Canary paperback. I hope we get more. I'd love a complete Judd Winnick Green Arrow.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I grabbed this Hardcover day 1. It's a must-read. It's also a bargain at $50. Black Nights Metal omni was $150 and only 800 pages or so.
I'd be happy if DC did more of these thick deluxe books instead of omnis. I love omnis as much as the next guy, but $150 as their new standard price hurts.

As a Jason Todd lover I must have this, I have the single issues that are in this collection but I love the idea of having it in an easy all in one book. Thanks for the review
Honestly it’s such a great book! And that it has under the red hood AND red hood the lost days in one book is just hard to pass up on

I have always loved this story but once I watched the animated movie I preferred that to the comics oddly enough.
I’m not sure which I preferred honestly but I really did love that animated movie as well 👏

I constantly hear you praise so many comic books but I'm genuinely SO curious, are there any comics you read that you downright hated that other people may like? I feel like I never see you dislike anything XD
Hate is a strong word. I try not to review comics I don’t like, generally try to stay away from negative but I’ve got a good go-to hot take:
I do not love The Dark Knight Returns.
I appreciate its legacy and the impact it had on the character and the industry but I have never been able to get into the art. The story I even think is cool but the art I cannot deal with

@@ririsu_jay this deluxe edition includes Red Hood: The Lost Days as well as Batman Under the Red Hood. Most other versions of Under the Red Hood only
Include the issues from that story arc, this collection has two separate story arcs included in one volume along with the extras.
@@TheComicBookReport okay so would it be worth seeing if there's a lost days graphic then, rather than having two copies of the same book? I've been collecting graphics for 7 months so am relatively new to it any suggestions on what to do in situations like this would be lovely
@@ririsu_jay you’re welcome to try finding a paperback of lost days. I know it’s been out of print for awhile. As far as what you choose to do it’s entirely up to you of course.
I know I had the paperback edition of Under the Red Hood for almost a decade. A great story a great collection. Lost Days is a companion story that I thought was really great but not essential to enjoy the under the red hood story itself. That being said it was one of my favorite parts about this deluxe edition because I felt like I got two stories for the price of one
