    I have searched for instructions like this in the past, but never have I found such clear, easy instructions. Thank you. Bought mine maybe 10 years ago and have used it on occasion, but did not have it threaded correctly and now I can enjoy it.

    Very good instruction guide . I recently bought 3 of these and 14 other sewing machines at a local school that is discontinuing their home economics program. It’s a shame for the students but I’m treasuring the servers . Can’t wait to try mine. Now that thanks to you I understand it . Thank you

    I bought this exact Serger at an estate sale today, and I can't begin to thank you enough for this instructional video. I was afraid I'd never find any online help for an old machine. Though I've sewn with a sewing machine for many, many years, this is my first serger. It is missing the foot pedal/cord which I've ordered. After watching your video, I'm anxious to begin using it. Thank you again!

      @@pindropshopThank you so much for the video! I've been looking for a video for this exact machine! It was given to me years ago, so I have no manual. Also, I wanted to add that this machine requires ROUND SHANK needles, which are hard to find...I found Organ brand on Amazon. Recommended tension?

    I inherited similar machine from my sister! I managed to threat it but the threads keep braking , should I replace all the threads please?

    • @pindropshop
      @pindropshop  2 роки тому

      Hello! Sorry for the late reply. Yes, if you're having problems I would always recommend rethreading the entire thing. If threads are breaking, it could be that your tensions are too tight. Check that they are all at 4 (or the recommended default tension for your machine.).

    I have this, I plan to sell it as well. I bought it from my local sewing machine repair guy, in a hurry to fix a girls prom dress that was needed right away. I normally sew on Singer treadles which won't take stretchy or polyester dress fabrics. It worked beautifully with the thin nylon thread but a nightmare with cotton. I ordered new needles and expensive 80wt thread and I still can't make a simple cotton knit headband with it. Want mine? LOL.

    • @pindropshop
      @pindropshop  3 роки тому +1

      Wonder if you can change some settings and get a nice stitch with the cotton. I had to play with this one a little bit to get it looking good. I was actually just using the needle and the thread it came with, some kind of cotton serger thread. Interesting that you have this too! I had never seen this one before!

    • @kikis7196
      @kikis7196 3 роки тому

      @@pindropshop I have been doing all I can to get it to cooperate. Just when I think I've got it the needle thread pops off. I think I might sell it off and put whatever I get towards a sewing/embroidery machine...... but those scare me too. I think I paid $160 for mine, I bet you got yours for a waaaay better price!

    • @pindropshop
      @pindropshop  10 місяців тому

      Hello, thanks for watching! I had them set at 7, 6, and 3 for this one.
      When you get your new one your manual will tell you where to set them for each stitch. Hope that helps! :)

  • @5150beeper
    @5150beeper 4 місяці тому

    Could explain how to adjust all those tension knobs?

    • @pindropshop
      @pindropshop  4 місяці тому

      I would start with how I have them all set up on this video. Then you will need to look at your stitch and compare to how a stitch is supposed to look. Depending on what is wrong with it, there are adjustments to make it right.

    Does it make patches?

    • @pindropshop
      @pindropshop  Рік тому

      Yes, you could make patches with this. Just cut a piece of fabric and serge all the way around the outside. You could turn the stitch length dial almost all the way down to get
      really tight thread coverage around the outside.

    Hello! Can you tell me where to buy a needle holder for this overlocker?

    • @pindropshop
      @pindropshop  2 роки тому

      Hello! The needle holder for inserting needles is actually just a tiny hole that was drilled into the end of the brush that came with one of my other machines. They sell them at SewingPartsOnline for 2.99 USD under the name
      Lint Brush With Needle Inserter, Juki 40065952
