    Great info for my military mosquito net, I have a tent pole (Life Fighter 1) Ghost bone that I use under my netting & a light ground sheet which works out great but with rain I’ll use my military poncho or larger tarp
    Beats the mosquito & muggy nights sweating here in Florida (Pinellas County)….Thanks for another option!

      I actually found that an 8x6 tarp makes a perfect, almost sealed ground sheet for it...

    Nice but I use the older version with the four wooden poles on my issue cot and fly a tarp over that to stay off the ground these days …but I’m retired and 62 done the ground pounding days. Have fun stay safe.

    I've got a green French F2 tent (no bug net doors)...this looks like it'll work over the top of it!...
    Gotta try it out...

    Bought one of these on ebay 20 years ago and then have never found a use for it, as I am usually camping in cooler or wetter environments, and I have the ORC dome tent which makes this piece of kit obsolete. That said, I've always wanted to find a use for it. At 1kg (2.2lbs) it does add a lot of weight to a backpacking kit, and only makes sense if you are bivy bagging it. For car or motorcycle camping though I'd like to try setting it up as a little cookhouse.

    I usually try to use a hammock, but any time I have to be on the ground, I think this is exactly what I'd prefer to use. Easy to pack and versatile.

    Is that the same net we used to put over the folding cots?

    • @FloridaBoyBushcraftSurvival
      @FloridaBoyBushcraftSurvival  7 місяців тому +2

      It is a little different. The "Cot Net" is cut more square to cover a cot. This one more closely matches the Pup Tent. However, you can use this one with a cot as well...

  • @rcash3625

    Hmm… now that I think of it idk if my bug net is this one for the pup tent or if it’s the one for the cot? Or are they the same?
