The bonnetted locos look any day better than the shape of the current locos , some which look like a coffin box. I wish indian railways goes for traditional shapes, albeit with much higher horse power.
@12moshpit You seem to be a little confused: anthropogenic global warming is being caused largely by carbon dioxide, an invisible gas. Diesel smoke is not a GHG. Railways are by a very large margin the most energy-efficient means of powered land transport, and GHG emissions are basically in proportion to energy use. That pair of diesels will happily shift several thousand tonnes; try doing that with lorries. Top ALCo thrash and clag, by the way
