    cool video - Have you had a chance to check out the whammy settings to see how those are? I haven't seen any videos posted yet covering that anywhere.

      Thx. The H9 whammy was always amazing so see can’t why the h90 wouldn’t be. Will address in a future vid.

    They have the tech to accommodate many more simultaneous fx, as I said in similar reviews
    My 1989 digitech dsp128 was giving me 3 simultaneous fx

    Was that just the H90 providing the distortion on the way out? or were you using another pedal also?

    Great video! Re the “Dual Mode”, can you mix the 2 signals together in the H90 or choose to keep the signal paths intact?

    • @BrevSullivan
      @BrevSullivan  Рік тому +1

      Thx. No Dual mode is for the sole purpose of dividing signals. 1 effect for each path in that instance.

    This looks and sounds amazing, but i agree with the fellow who said that for the price it should do more (simultaneously). 3 algos would definitely make the deal better. OR it should be less expensive... in Brazil it's costing actually more than 2 new H9s (through official sellers).

  • @dasczwo
    @dasczwo Рік тому +1

    Great thx! Considering the increase in computing power since they brought out the h9 over 10 years ago i would have expected more then 2 algos. Maybe 4? Eventide either thinks we are to dumb to handle 2 algos or its just product crippling. Well, gonna have to buy 2 h90s…. Maybe in 10 years, considering the price point. Is there any of the new algos making it really worth?

    • @BrevSullivan
      @BrevSullivan  Рік тому +1

      Several factors to consider that make it worth it: functionality and increased foot switch control of an algorithm. It’s equally priced to an H9 max and H9 core which required an external midi pedal to control.H9s we’re a challenge to edit, this is simple,
      Head space of course is amazing.along with many other effects .

      @@BrevSullivan thats true. But: h90 is more along the lines of „more of the same. (Like Te with the op field: wow its stereo! Double the sound double the price) „.Themarket diyed two h9s together for a decade. So its meareley a rection than a true innovation. Where is that ambisonic quadraphonic surround panning module? Where is the ai scale recognition and pitch arpegiating accompaniement effekt? Brainwave to lfo conversion dongle…cmon its 2022, i was promised flying cars what do i get: double h9 with nice ui. And 5pin midi from the 70ies. Yawn. Love eventide , but thats not innovation. For the price of a macbook air that beauty should beat the hell out of an ableton effectchain. Dont get me wrong: its an amazing product, just lame. Whats sad that this is undoubtley the pinnacle of fx pedals.

    I was going to buy 2 H9 Max’s because I’ve read more negative reviews about the H90 than the H9 Max. Do you think I’ll be just as satisfied with 2 H9 Max’s for a better price than 1 H90?

    • @BrevSullivan
      @BrevSullivan  10 місяців тому +1

      If you want more control as the video states over the pedal- H90.
      If you don’t mind the Bluetooth programming and controlling an H9 with an external and can live without the h90s advanced efx H9

    • @uncccut23
      @uncccut23 2 місяці тому

      That’s a kinda strange choice my man. The H90 blows the H9 out of the water sound-wise, even two of the H9 Max’s. Literally worlds apart. Even the old H9 effects sound better on the H90. But the big differences are with the 12 new algorithms in the H90. They’re insane, and you don’t really need more than those. You got world class reverb, delay, tape echo, chorus, fuzz, overdrive (maybe not the best there though), pitch effects, experimental stuff, flanger, phaser, univibe, tremolo, etc.
      Many of these algorithms are best in their classes imo. The H90 pitch effects for example are so much better than anything else on the market it’s not even funny.
      The H9 sounds digital and dull in direct comparison (even though it’s a great and really fun pedal!).
      So do yourself a favor, sell the two H9 Max’s and buy a used H90 if you find one. It’s way better, more versatile, takes up less space than two H9’s etc. Seriously man!

  • @baorozzo
    @baorozzo Рік тому +2

    Clearly it can do a lot of things better than H9.
    But I have 3 H9 connected and controlled with my ipad.
    Plenty of effects still on these 3 beauties.
    So I think I’ll stick with them.
    Not everyone is thinking the same as me (LOL), in Italy there’s a lot of H9 for sale used right now.
    Really really a lot.

      @@BrevSullivan I’m more of a “study and play at home” guitarist.
      So I have just the 3 H9 on a mini pedal board and the switch board of my amply to change from clean, crunch, solo or mega-distorted.
      But my 3 H9 never touch the ground, they are always on top of the head amp.
      I control everything with 2 iPads mini.
