Thick Chocolate Protein Cake with Frosting (under 100 calories)
This took a while but here you go guys:
3/4 cup yogurt
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup eggs whites
Then whisk
1/4 cup sweetener (roughly)
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1 scoop protein powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
Mix
Bake for 35 minutes at 320 °F
Frosting:
3/4 cup yogurt
2 tbsp sugar/stevia
1.5 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp vanilla jello mix
1/4-1/2 cup water
Remember to give her a thumbs up :)
Thank you for doing that, so sweet of you!
@@pernillasworld could you pin this comment or perhaps add the same info on description? Might be handy for most viewers.
Thank you! 😍
Thank you
Can you post the metric units as well as a comment? :)
The fact that she gave grams, thanks you so much
But are these gr correct? I might be wrong but 2 tbsp of stevia shouldn't be 50gr but 28 roughly..
@@daniele8373 Stevia is lighter in weight than sugar but just as sweet, I think a lot of trial and error comes with baking with Stevia so just follow her instructions for now, then change accordingly to your preference
This is for my “using grams” folks 😄
The Cake ->
170g yogurt
120ml milk (that should be 1/2 cup but she wrote 80ml)
138g egg whites
whisk it together then add ->
50g truvia stevia (adjust to your own taste if you have a different sweetener)
50g cocoa powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
60g oat flour
33,5g protein powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
whisk together and bake at 160°C (320°F) for 35 minutes
Frosting ->
170g yogurt
50g truvia stevia
15g cocoa powder
16g sugar free yello
1/4-1/2 cup water
just mix it all together, frost the cake and enjoy 🙌🏼😋
Thankyou
15g is 3tbsp cocoa powder...the recipe calls for 1.5 tbsp for the frosting, which is 7.5g. Ive made the frosting as a vanilla and it came out great. I just made it with the amounts you gave and its a little grainy because of the cocoa overload...thats when i noticed the mistake. I'll probably just thin it out and and a little more yogurt.
diky moc :D
Hi
Interesting about the milk- I did 80g and thought it came out a bit dry. This should help?
I love that you used grams. If the recipe maker isn't using grams, you just can't trust their calories because all imperial volume measuring cups/spoons are a bit different. Thank you!
yeah exactly i mean wtf is 1 cup i hate that fucking shit
If it's 1g fat=9calories and 1g carb/protein=4calories, then these macros are not even close. Anyone else have an awesome deal about it?
@@BIGsweatXD40 Yes you are correct, 818 calories for the cake if u don't include stevia.
Stevia says 120 carbs but 0 calories so the app thyere using might be wrong. If u include stevia its 1298 calories
@@ATOMiiCChicken yup. I just did the math with my ingredients and for the entire cake its 1,207 cal.
P- 101
C- 193.2
F- 15.9
Which works out to 150.8 cal per slice. P-12.6 C-24.5. F-1.9
Carbs from the sweetener are still there and they are still calories! Very important.
@@juancarlosfallas4535 thats why u gotta be careful on these food tracking apps, I notice often they have wrong or missed calories on things
I am soooo sorry guys, I forgot to tell you how long I baked the cake for!!! And I picked the wrong Stevia on MyFitnessPal so it actually has LESS CARBS than what is show in the video.
1. I baked it for 35 minutes at 320 °F/160 °C :)
2. Each slice has ONLY 11 carbs, NOT 26! I accidentally picked the wrong Stevia on MyFitnessPal when calculating the Macros (stevia has 0 calories and 0 carbs) but for some reason the Stevia added 120g of carbs to the entire recipe. This is a mistake and I'm sorry for the confusion!
I'm so happy to see that you are excited to try it out!
Actually, the stevia wasn't a mistake, 1g of stevia is 1g of carbs, and it has 4 calories, so you actually picked the right one, there's no such thing as a 0 calorie sugar substitute, it is a carb, it has calories, but because 1g of stevia is basically like 5-8g of sugar, it has way less calories for the same sweetness so they round it to 0 calories and 0 carbs, but stevia is a carb, so it has calories
@@insa1yan yeah. But she is using Truvia which is mostly erythritol and a tiny amount of part of stevia. Plus it has various natural flavors which aren't identified. The company that makes the erythritol has stated in the past that they use both GMO and non gmo corn. I don't know about currently.
I would use stevia or monk fruit. Pure or mixed with erythritol only for this recipe.
It's amazing! Just baked it and it's lush!!!

Love this recipe! I've changed little bit the frosting by using protein powder instead of jello mix and stevia and it was amazing!
Tip! Add coffee to the batter, it’ll enhance the flavour ☺️👍🏽 Thank you so much for this
How much coffee are you adding and are we talking grounds or prepared coffee?
@@joshflanigan2523 I would add a teaspoon of instant coffee to the wet ingredients if I were to choose this option.
@@joshflanigan2523 very late response, but you can add a shot of espresso, or a 1/4 cup of cold brew, or 1 TB espresso powder.
I have cooked this recipe and your chocolate protein pancake and they are delicious! Gained a new subscriber! Thank you! ☺️
this is the best recipe ever. I made this cake a couple of times and it is just delicious. thank you so much for this!
Holy crap, LOVE this recipe I literally had to watch twice. So creative to use yogurt. Definitely making it. That’s perfect for pre-workout
Just made this and it’s amazing!!! Thank you!
OMG YOURE THE BEST AT THIS! 😍
mmm I just made this!! I had to make it in a microwave and it still turned out delish, and can't believe those macros, and it's so filling too. Thank you for giving the grams, sooo useful :D
I'm shredding and this cake is a game changer!!! eating it everyday!!!!
I just subscribed thank you! It was not only because of recipe, it was because you were so cheerful and raised my mood... Thanks again!
Love the macro breakdown!

Definitely want to try this one out. Thanks for sharing, looks delicious
Definitely making this over the weekend!! Oh yum!!
I will definitely try it! I absolutely love anything chocolate.
It was amazing one of the best diet desert recipes I’ve made
Just made this for my brother (who is bulking) 2 days ago and omg! It was so delicious 🤩🤩 thank you for the recipe!!!
Oh girrrrrl you saved my soul by sharing this healthy leeeeeess calorie... you can’t believe how much I love cakes and at the same time wanna be in shape.... obviously you deserve more than a 👍 and I have already subscribed your channel for more healthy food .... because I neeeeeeeed foooooood but wanna be in shape as well ... thanks a Billion 😃😄😁
I hope this tastes good bc it looks amazing
I just wanted to say thank you for this recipe. I made this cake and it is delicious. This recipe is a keeper.
cant wait to try this tomorrow
My frosting definitely didn't come out as "frosty" as yours, and it did have a rather sour taste. BUT after frosting the cake and leaving it in the fridge overnight, the cake was SOOOO moist and the frosting actually complimented the cake really well. Tastes like a chocolate mousse cake! It's SO good!
Good to know!
I make this recipe (without the protein powder) into 12 cupcakes, ~45 cals each. Top it with a small scoop of halo top. One cupcake a day for a week and a half and it is perfect for the PMS and period weeks 😛
Love this woman! Thank you so much for these awesome vids ♡
This looks SO good. Thank you
Just made it. IT’S CRAZY GOOD!!!!! Can’t believe how good it is. Made the frosting without the jello and substituted baking soda for baking powder in the cake. I’m in Love with this recipe!!!!!
mine ended up pretty bad.. what protein powder did you use?
Did you just skip the jelo or swap it with something else?
Just tried this and ur banana bread recipe and omg they're so good!!
Think I’m in love!!! Subscribed
I love what you do! You are so positive, encouraging, and real. I have a huge sweet tooth too! In my journey to lose weight, gain strength, and eat better I had resolved to eat teeny tiny portions of my favorite sweets very very rarely. Thank you so much for your recipes! I'm so excited to try this one!
Hoping to try one of your workouts this coming week.
Any chance your are going to be putting your app on the Android app store any time soon? 🤞
Thanks Nilla.Must try!
This woman deserves more subscribers
This recipe is insane !
Made this and loved it!! Enjoyed adding some chocolate cake to meals responsibly :). I painstakingly tracked everything within my 'Lose It' app, and am within a handfull of what she gets. I use a different protein powder, and I am not sure what oats she used.. I used Great Value Quick Oats, which was the lightest I could find. Turned out awesome and delicious, and the tracking was pretty on point. Thank you Pernilla for helping me enjoy this too.
OMG...did the cake yesterday....it's amazing best cake I had in month's now 🙀 👏
I’m going to make this with a combination of almond flour and coconut flour...they bake well it will increase the fat content but it will still be healthier than your average chocolate cake!! 😋 THANKYOU FOR THE RECIPE!!
Can't wait to try this...thanks!
I tried this cake last weekend, it turned out awesome! Super fluffy, moist and rich. Couldn't find the jello and made the frosting without it anyways. LOVED IT!! 😍👍🏼
seriously? I have followed this receipt and after it was done we took two slices and had to put the rest in the bin, it was atrocious
@@lilitdesign It's possible it tasted awful because you used Truvia which uses Stevia. Stevia to many people tastes bitter. I find it awful. You might want to remake the cake with Monkfruit which has a nice natural taste to it.
@@lilitdesign same
@@carlcat I used xylitol and it was dismissing because of the sourness from the 0% youghurt, which I bought fresh
This was really good! I added pb2 to the frosting and it was legit so good
What would you rate it? Compared to a full fat chocolate cake?
I am so totally going to make that!!!
I made this and it turned it out great, thank you!!!!!
What would you rate it? Comparing to a normal chocolate cake?
Just made this recipe and LOVED IT! 10/10!
Would you still rate it a 10/10 compared to a normal, full fat, chocolate cake.
@@xijinping3331 sorry it took so long to reply but as far as the cake yes I would. The cake is as good if not better than full fat cake. The icing is good but not as good as normal icing.
Currently waiting for this cake to bake!!! 🥰
Love your recipes 🙇🏽♀️♥️
Damn, you have got a very positive and cheerful personality. And don't even get me started on those eyes, belle!
Okay so I did this yesterday and let me tell you that it was SO GOOD!!!! I didn’t add the protein because I didn’t have any haha but the cake was delicious, great consistency and the topping???? AMAZING. Thank you so much for the recipe!!!
seriously? I have followed this receipt and after it was done we took two slices and had to put the rest in the bin, it was atrocious
Hiya. Just came across this recipe and like if it was meant to be, I realised I had all the ingredients at home (same brands actually) and baked it today. I tracked all the quantities on MFP and the only thing I purposely swop was the milk (for semi Skimmed). I cannot believe how good it tastes!!! And the frosting!!! Guurrrl! I already ate 2 slices, no guilt at all. Thank you so much for this recipe. Honestly the only bit I may tweak next it's the baking time cuz I think my oven is quite powerful and I want the sponge to be little bit less dry (not that this one is bad). Cheers!
Thanks alot ma'am. Trying this tonight
this tastes like heaven.
mine was gross, what protein powder did you use?
Just made this last night and omg!!!! I'm obsessed. If you live in Australia, use the Yoplait Forme Zero yoghurt!
I used a mix of half oat flour and half oat fibre, then added a heaped teaspoon of honey to the dough, I know it adds carbs and calories but I find that it helps to hide the slightly bitter Truvia aftertaste, I also did the same with the frosting, we do not have vanilla flavoured gelatin so I used a sachet of neutral gelatin and added half a teaspoon of vanilla essence, I then warmed the frosting mixture up in the microwave a little bit to help dissolve the gelatin, next time i will dissolve the gelatin in the water before adding it to the mixture, it was a success, everyone loved the cake, thankyou for a lovely recipe.
This looks so good
She is over the top without being annoying like other UA-camrs. I really enjoyed watching her video and learned how to make a nutritious chocolate cake. I have made a cake from some keto video that uses almond flour and coconut flour, but not any Greek yogurt and it turned out very dry. I am going to try this oat flour and Greek yogurt recipe because hers looks really moist and yummy. I love her fake taste test! I thought it was so funny when she said that. 😂
1 and 1/2 cakes🤔...ok, you have my attention
Ok Thanks I’m gonna try this 🤤
Holy cow I just made this and it's SOOO GOOD. I'm shook. Like how. wtf. And no guilt! I haven't even done the frosting yet hahah. I used almond flour and ISO 100 chocolate protein powder
I was just thinking of what I'm going to bake and just like that UA-cam recommend me your video without even me actually looking for any recipe, I take it as a sign from heaven and I'm going to the store for all the missing ingredients!😍 This cake looks really delicious and you seem even sweeter than that😘
Good looking cake. Definitely one to try.
This cake is sooo filling 2 slices feels like a meal. I’ve lost weight since making her recipes
That's awesome! Sooooo low in cals, I love it! Subscribed!

So many intresting recipe, finally eating that chocolate cake is not a sin while dieting 💞
Alright, I'm gonna go ahead and subscribe... This looks amazing!
So delicious and moist! Love your videos
I need to try this one out!
You mean I can have my cake and eat it too!! Thanks!!
My cake is in the oven right now! I'm so excited to try it. The batter tasted so good, that I might just eat it as batter next time. I used brewed coffee instead of water in my frosting recipe. It's super good too.
How did you end up liking it?
How was it?
Was it good?
It was good! About 75% as good as sugary buttery chocolate cake. I won’t use as much coffee next time. 1 Tbs would have been enough for flavor.
@@AngelaCoffman Mine ended up pretty bad, what protein powder did you use?
You are a life saver I’m just going to make it keto thank you
You could also substitute the oat for lupin flour for less carbs and another 40g of protein
Well...I guess I'll be binging on this cake during that time of the month 😍
I am a massive fan and just finished making this cake as I embark on my macro journey / gettin' more protein in there. I thought of you through the entire process. Last I heard you were somewhat heart broken. I hope that you are healing. I've been there and my heart goes out to you. From one hippie-loving human to another, I send a big hug and lots of love from chilly Toronto xoxo
I wouldn't recommend eating it, mate.
