This is one decks that when you play against you feel like the opponent always has it haha. Having 9 to 13 potential Yawgsmoths is probably the reason why. Great video as always, sending love from Italy!
i think the cut at 20:38 is misleading, and should've been done differently. due to the cut, it looks like LVD actually targeted the shaman with the borrowed yawgmoth ability, but he didn't, otherwise the ability wouldn't have resolved at all (due to lack of target as the shaman was sacrificed as a cost) and he wouldn't have drawn a card.
I don't think that was a cut, i think the ability actually resolved even though the target was gone. It says "Put a -1/-1 counter on up to one target creature and draw a card", so i think even though he selected a target and it went to the graveyard before it could resolve as the target, the "up to one target" was still satisfied so it did resolve letting him also draw a card. In other words there was no target after the sacrifice cost but the ability didn't actually need a target in the first place
@@adrienanderson7439 you can literally see LVD click "select 0" , so yes it is a cut for the reason i explained. if he had picked the shaman as a target, the ability would not have resolved and he would not have drawn a card
I love imagining a bunch of elves getting together in the forest to summon the might of nature with Chord of Calling and mother****ing Yawgmoth shows up like... Hello there~
Combo decks have 3 modes: 1- I combo off and you know it so you concede. 2- I don't get the pieces in time or you make me discard a part so I don't do anything during the whole match 3 - I start the combo and... are you really gonna make me go through all of this?
@@LegenVD true! How do you like this list compared to the natural lrder one? Im trying to get into timeless, i play yawgmoth in modern and now that I see this list Im wondering which one would be better
@@Loiss I recommend checking out deck winrates on Untapped to get an idea. It might take a while for enough data to show up. In my small sample size Yawgmoth and Elves performed about the same. Charbelcher actually did a little bit better surprisingly enough. Zoo, Selfmill, Titan Ramp, Rakdos Breach and Rakdos Burn are all decks I've had good experiences with.
It used to not but it is a huge hassle to keep track of -1/-1 counters and +1/+1 counters, it simplifies the game and makes for cool mechanics like this which are disruptable with graveyard hate and other things.
@@Zauzzie You can think of it what you want, but this interaction is deeply hidden in information not available in MTGA. This should be a bug report in any other game, but we simply let it slide with Arena. That's why it's unnecessary. Arena has no problem properly accounting for your -1s and +1s. People who only play Arena have no way of understanding what's happening.

Ooooohhhh I like the display of the combo in the beginning. Nice touch
Yeah, that was smooth!
agreed
Agreed, very well done!
Thank you for keeping the bar high LVD, your attention to detail in each video is incredible. unmatched. Love u dude
Commentary, creativity, gameplay, editing: the quality of LVD’s videos is unmatched.
Yesssss Timeless! This combo goes hard in Modern so it's so damn cool to see it on Arena! Appreciate you tons, Luca!!! 😊

Great visualisation of the combo !!
I want to recognize and thank you for your continued efforts in upping the production value of your videos, yet still releasing them nearly every day.
Great deck, always love seeing Yawgmoth. You really show very interesting interactions with Yawgmoth, Bowmasters cool too, Achordingly very nice :)
Cool deck and great gameplay. Awesome commentary as well. Thanks.
So glad to see you playing this deck. One of my favorites
At 26:56 opponent is dead on board if you sac young wolf to put a counter on it, attack for six than drain for 3 after playing blood artist.
11:17 lol nice one

Achordingly, oh LVD 😂
Love getting to some good LVD content early in my day!
match 2 was complex and entertaining, nice video :)
Nice one, LVD!
Some thoguhts on show and tell ? I'm very very hyped as the deck was sorta my introduction to legacy

I've always loved the interaction of Undying with -1/-1 counters, nice to see a deck exploit it cleanly
The best yawgmoth deck usually plays Natural Order with 1-ofs Atraxa and Craterhoofs to have another wincon
That's with your video I realize necropotence is so OP. It does what your 3 creatures do with only 1 enchant and 3 mana. That's crazy.
There's a little more going on here, but Necropotence is certainly busted!

I make them in Photoshop.

Thats gonna piss off Samuel L Jackson for sure
Now say Yawgmouth and Young Wolf five times fast.
Pls some explorer content next 🙏
Monoblack devotion or sacrifice
I've done Devotion in explorer quite recently!
It was before Discover was banned, but most of the deck stays the same.

1 card for 1 life? It's called Necropotence
Timeless is to win turn 2 or 3
No more natural older?
Since it only gets green creatures, it doesn't find Yawgmoth.

The poop-hole loop-hole? 😂
I so hate the canceling out interaction. It's entirely unnecessary and only helps to break a perfectly fine, working creature ability.
