    Really hope Chinese railway company can see this video, I wonder if any of their advertisements could be better than a real passenger tried everything so carefully and filmed it so clearly, to show how real and cool it is. It would be smart to let you film the driving cab. The cab design of CR400AF series (the lighting in particular) is absolutely fantastic as it has effectively combined the aesthetics of both the previous CRH380A (Japanese derived) and CRH380B (German derived) series, and added a further touch of the ring lights on the ceiling.
    The CR400AF looks far better than its counterpart, CR400BF which on the other hand very much retains the Germanic design of CRH380B.

    1. The train is empty because it’s a brand new rout only opened for a few months, and you’re taking the super expensive business class. Try Inter City HSR from Guangzhou to Shenzhen, the train leaves every few minutes and it’s still f**king crowded sometimes even feel like rush hour metro.
    2. The food on China HSR is just horrible, so expensive (¥60 each, normally in China this kind of food cost ¥20 or so) and just not delicious.

    The fast trains are efficient but if time is not an issue I prefer riding the old trians on "soft sleep" cabin.
    These trains run on old railways and stop at the old stations at smaller towns. It literally brought me back 30 years when I was at college, except standing shoulder to shoulder with other passagers, now I often get the whole cabin (4 berths) for myself for hours.
    I always bring a lot of food and beer with me on those rides to entertain myself. It feels so relaxing and so free.
    Those one man operated red brick building stations with few passagers feel so romantic, sweet and a bit sad too.
    I recommend everyone to experience it if possible before they disappear.

      @JacobysJourneys  5 років тому

      Hi! Yeah I used to ride those trains as well, it is nice to enjoy a slower pace and see some more areas. I agree, it's definitely a cool experience as well, and who knows how much longer they will be around. Thanks for watching and commenting!

      @@JacobysJourneys The "green skin" trians are a throwback China, totally different than the fast paced, ultra modern one most foreign tourists see. People riding those trains tend to be more quite and relaxed, they don't yell at their phones all the time LOL.

    I wondered what the difference was between First Class and Business. World of difference! I'n taking that the next time I go to Guangzhou. Were you also able to get on the train first or with the rest of the crowd? That would be worth the extra price right there. I just returned from Guangzhou East station on Sunday night and the crowds are insane to get on the train. You literally have to shuffle your feet to move along with them and there were many stairs to climb. I don't know what mobility impaired people do. Not sure why they didn't have escalators in that part. I see you departed from the South Guangzhou station. I think it's much better. And yes, it is huge! I have also taken a train from there, First Class.
