Boy oh boy. I bought a basket case 1985 alt 125 three wheeler. Basically a lt all the same but with three wheels. I tore it all down and now I need a a bunch of parts to make it complete. It’s a absurd amount of money to get it just to be able to drive. I wish I could find a parts one around my area or some one who could part one out so I don’t have to pay the eBay premium.
On facebook a guy works for suzuki and said he would get me seal numbers for the engine as he redid a lt185 from the ground up. Ebay isn't bad on prices. I put $200 into mine to get it riding again. Recently I bought a back up engine for the cost of shipping and it doesn't leak like mine and less hours so I'll be putting new seals and maybe gaskets on her and swapping out. Group on facebook is call Suzuki lt125
@@mistermacgray Ya unfortunately I don’t have Facebook. But, that is very cool what you did with your lt. The little things are sometimes more fun then the big serious racers. Ya the stuff I need is the annoying expensive stuff like the chain tensioner and a CDI and chain guards. Someone also stripped the drive shaft somehow so I gotta split the case and replace that. But I don’t have a case splitter so I gotta get me one of those too. But hey you can’t complain it’s all apart of the experience. Luckily I have Another alt 125 Same year so I can see how everything goes together
@Michigan Ants in the group people sell of parts once in awhile. I have a spare tensioner but I plan to put it on mine but also I want to make a video of attempting to repair a tensioner by drilling out the rivet, replace the sprocket with an idler sprocket you can find at farm stores and bolt in. I try and stay out of Facebook drama.
@@mistermacgray Yes Facebook can be very dramatic. Oh yes that should be interesting. Ya I don’t know maybe I can make something i have around the house work. I however kinda want this project to be done with original parts.
@Michigan Ants original parts are gettingnhard to come by. I think all the stuff for mine were after market but have been holding up since I made this video. If you check out the rest of my youtube channel you see where I rebuild saws and finding original parts isn't possible, crank seals being one you don't want to use because the rubber would be over 40 years old...good luck finding NOS bearings so aftermarket SKF or Timken do the job. It's all about keep history alive and things out of the junk yard.
I'm putting a suzuki 3 wheeler (83-85 lt 90/125) back together, same as your video. After watching this video and others I'm still not able to match up the fuel system properly. I have a picture with all parts layed out and labeled. Can I get that picture to someone to do the matching of hoses and fittings? Fuel tank, pet cock, fuel pump and carberator
I have the same one as this and the only thing is I can’t get it to run I don’t know what is wrong with it I have been trying to bump start it because the pull start is missing
Get yourself a pull starter, can be had on Ebay. Check for spark, I had this exact issue with mine. Turns out it had a faulty NGK plug with maybe an hours run time on it. Check to see if she is getting proper fuel. If you havent rebuilt the carb, kits run like $15 on Ebay. Make sure the valves are adjusted correctly, there is a video on UA-cam of it being done.
@@bullybob9176 I dont see any on Ebay at this time and unsure what other models fit. There is a group on Facebook called Suzuki lt125 and people in there may have a starter laying around for sale.
Google User RVA Paid $200 shipped to me. Guy locally was selling it and after forever and 1300 people that had looked he finally bite on my offer $50 short of what he was wanting. He started at $500 which nobody touched.
Jakson Palmore I'm in Lafayette. I'm looking for another one similar to this for my wife. If you watch my videos you will see my start to finish on what I've done and the fuel pump I used and whatnot. Saturday I'm taking it out on a shake down run. These aren't really expensive to get parts for, I'm $250 into it and would ha e been cheaper if it had the recoil which ran me $75 on ebay. Great atv and the granny gear is nice. I'm part of a small group on facebook call Suzuki lt 125 and there are a few helpful people in there including myself.
Thanks for making a small series on this atv...really really helping me with my 230GE project

Are you in Princeton
Jakson Palmore Nope. I'm in north western Indiana.
Oh ok I live in Evansville and tomorrow I am buying a lt 125 motor from a guy in Princeton

Bryan Gray I’m an hour from you. I have a real nice 83 alt 3 wheeler I’d get rid of pretty cheap. Runs like a champ with brand new tiers
I have one I got for 100 but it doesn't have any power
whats it doing
?
