Thanks! Yes she's on top of it! Although we both tend to forget a lot of what's in our freezer, so we are still trying to find the balance of prepping enough to make it simple, and then actually using it all!

@@showmemovegan I was thinking of doing an inventory for my freezer and putting it on the front of the fridge so that I can check off what I use and easily know what’s left 😅

Hi Wendy! There's something very refreshing about seeing a family unit turn their respective health issues using sensible nutrition. Thanks so much for sharing!

I love that your parents follow a WFPB lifestyle, I've finally gotten my husband on board!!! As a woman in her 50's it's always nice to see "seasoned" individuals enjoying this lifestyle.

That's awesome that your husband joined you! It's definitely better with someone else on board. I was very lucky that my parents were willing to watch a few documentaries and were convinced pretty quickly to try it out. Thanks for watching!

I loved this video! It was so authentic. I loved your mom’s freezer and regular Tupperware. It seems like every health enthusiast has the most beautiful bowls with links to their Amazon store front. It’s nothing g wrong with that… but all to say, I can relate to what I just saw in your video, and you being at your parents house was so relatable. Everything about this video was amazing! Wishing your dad a full recovery 🙏🏽 Thank you for this.

Thank you so much! Yes, these are many of the bowls and containers I grew up with. I really appreciate your comments and the well wishes for my dad. ❤

It's so nice to see that your parents listen to you, regarding the WFPB lifestyle!
Imagine a world where everyone eats this way, from the time they're born. :D

It never occurred to me to freeze cooked sweet potatoes; what a brilliant idea! Does your mom typically roast, bake or steam those first? We’re in our 70s and hubby and I are working on eating only plant based meals. We’re always looking for ways to prep food ahead of time to make things easier. Your mom looks like she’s got this very organized to make meals and salads in less time rather than so time consuming each day. Would she possible do a video or two and show how she does this? Thanks so much, Linda Hardesty

In the winter, she usually bakes several trays of sweet potatoes, then peels the skin off and mashes them to use or freeze like you saw in the video. Then in the summer when she doesn't want to turn on the oven too much, she'll steam them in the Instant Pot and then mash and freeze. I can try to see if we can do more videos with her prep. She doesn't usually do it all at once, she'll just prep things as she runs out throughout the week.
