  • The 'Shuttlecock Midge' is a relatively basic fly and easy to tie, it's tied to suggest the emerging/hatching midge hanging in or below the meniscus and it can be a very effective fly when trout are concentrating on these tiny morsels.
    Dressing:
    Hook: Size 18 - 20 Kamasan B980
    Thread: Black 8/0 UNI-Thread
    Thorax: Black Dubbing (e.g. Rabbit or Awesome Possum)
    Shuttlecock: CDC feathers
