Hey, i didnt had time to watch whole thing, so i dont know if anybody told you, but kW is not same as MW :) 1000 kW = 1 MW (at least irl, so i assume it works same ingame).
Also, if i recall right, the power output of water dam is not dependant only on water height itself, but on water flow.
If you make stationary "lake" between 2 damns, the water flow will be technically nothing. If you have big height difference (and lot of water) going thru dam, it will generate insane power.
