    Thanks for the vid, it answered some questions, only had room in the budget for a single burner but i figure i can buy a double down the road and line them up for a triple if need be.

    So i bought the square body 2 burner and it didn't come with the refractory cement. Should I be buying it and applying before firing it up?

    Can you connect one of those brass gas valve directly to gas hose, instead of this steel two hole pipe?

    • @DevilDogForge
      @DevilDogForge  8 місяців тому

      I don't belive you can with this set up

      Could you check it for me? I was wondering od I can connect air choke directly to gas hose so I could use only one burner in my custom build forge. When this particular burner would broke, then I could use another.

    What should the cement feel like when it’s done?? My buddy and I got one of these, but I feel like we got the cement/water ratio wrong. It’s been over 24 hours and it feels soft & spongy.

      Did you use the whole bag? Mine feels like a hard crust on top of the fluffy stuff

    Do you need to use a ceramic coating with this forge

    • @DevilDogForge
      @DevilDogForge  7 місяців тому

      Not that I'm aware of, I just used the supplied refractory cement and it's still going strong 8 months later

    How much cement did you need?

    • @DevilDogForge
      @DevilDogForge  8 місяців тому +1

      I used the the whole bag evenly spread out, it's been about 8 months and it's about time to re-cement

      @DevilDogForge What were the measurements you used to mix the refractory. All the instructions say is mix it at 18-21 % . I have a 2.5 lbs bucket of refractory. I have no idea how much water to cement that is.

    • @DevilDogForge
      @DevilDogForge  7 місяців тому

      @craigljardine I didn't really measure just added a small amount of water, mixed and repeated until I had a thick but spreadable consistency if that makes sense

    How’s it working out? Plenty of heat?
    I’m thinking on getting this exact one.

      @@DevilDogForge just talked to my brother who runs a big pro shop, and he says they run three of those Vevor triples and he loves em.
      It’s been like 15 hours and my cement is still wet. Was yours totally dry when you first fired it?

    • @DevilDogForge
      @DevilDogForge  Рік тому +1

      @Daddy #53 I had the same issue but I was too excited and fired it up after about 18 hours.. my thought process was the heat will help it dry.. not sure if it was the right thing to do but the cement in my forge is holding up
