@MultiCrackerjacker, there's always going to be closed minded, unintelligent, resentful, angry, corrupt people in this world who are green with envy when others succeed. They show their true colours when they believe that they're invisible! The point is that they're in the micro minority and therefore they aren't really worth bothering about. Once they rear their ugly head above the parapet, that's when us Normal, Majority, fair minded people need to point out the hypocrisy and defects in their foolish thinking. "Dingleberries" is an apt description of these fools, they're the boil on the arse of humanity and then they blame everyone else for their negative emotions. But that's enough about them, they're really not worth the effort. Happy Easter 🐣 and keep fighting the Good fight 👍❤️🇬🇧

Audemars Piguet, not piglet! Ha, ha! These were very expensive, and finest dress watches in their day. The Concord Delirium was another ultra thin dress watch from that period, but had a quartz movement.
Due to the demands of old age my fine watches have been replaced with wrist worn computers that record vital statistics, devices that use my phone to snitch on me.
When you consider that, in a few short years, computers have gone from being the size of a room to being as thin as an insulated table mat, the skill in making a mechanical movement, so small, is just breathtaking.

So when you reassemble a device, of any kind, and you have a few bits leftover that weren't replaced, it might be a good time to think, Oooops!

I've loved watches for a long time, and I've always thought that I was a bit of an anachronism, as I much prefer analog watches over digital. The mechanisms of watches and clocks have always fascinated me; there is something magical about them, and they seem, in a way, to hold the very mystery of time and space within them. It's no wonder Wells and Verne had such a fascination with time and horology. Now, in my (early) 60s, I'm discovering, via your completely wonderful channel, the real magic within a watch, and have been binging on your videos non-stop. My own watch is a Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk AT Titanium, Blue Angels edition. It's a fairly recent purchase and, thanks to this channel, it won't be my last. You've also kindled in me a desire to learn, as a hobby, more about disassembly, repair, maintenance and (with any luck and cosmic help) reassembly of watches. I've been looking at resources to get started with the basics, as I'm not looking to be any sort of professional, but just to enjoy the adventure. I would love to know how you came to acquire such consummate skill and artistry, just as a matter of interest. Your skill as a UA-cam presenter is phenomenal as well.

Good place to start for Swiss watches would be omega, oris etc. Lots of choice and a good point of entry in to Swiss watches
