Seriously, recipe looks great, but attention to detail (often quite important for recipes) is quite poor. Where is the 1/4 cup of cream used? No mention of it in the recipe at the link. Just an FYI, recipes should not only contain a list of ingredients and quantities, but how and when to use all of the ingredients.
I just made this recipe, everything was going so well until I realized I used my orange extract instead of vanilla, I managed to scrape most of the orange extract off the top and doubled up on my vanilla extract. It was a happy accident because it has a slight hint of orange and vanilla combo so I still enjoyed this lots. Not sure if I will use orange extract next time but it’s growing on me!!
Watching your videos on how to cook this dish, rice, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt made me buy an instant pot. I bought vanilla paste weeks ago in anticipation of making your rice pudding. I found this video by searching 'instant pot rice pudding ' because I wanted to check your ingredients before I went to the store. This video sure made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the great job you do.
Just made this but with traditional pudding rice. For anyone using pudding rice increase the rice cooking step to 4-5 minutes high pressure with natural release. I also used one egg instead of 2, and artificial vanilla which is identical in chemical structure to the real stuff without the crazy expense. 1/2 cup of sugar was enough for my European palette. Very delicious, thank you.
This recipe is so amazing. Already made it twice, and it's been a winner with everyone, including a friend who was skeptical because they don't like "wet rice." Now the real challenge is not making it too often so I don't gain too much weight at once, lmao!

I just got a instant pot, and this is the first thing I made :). I never liked rice pudding, but my hubby and son do. I will say this is very good and I am a convert now. My husband said it's better then the homemade rice pudding his grandma made . I will say it is very rich , and I couldn't eat a lot. I did half the sugar too , and I didn't have cream , but I had Italian sweet cream coffee creamer. It worked like a charm lol. Good thing I doubled the recipe, because my guys ate a lot lol.

Hi Lisa, new subscriber here🤗! I inherited an instant pot duo plus today for free🤗. Your video is such a big help and i made your rice pudding and so yummy too. Thanks for this video🤗!
The eggs make it like bread pudding. I like it. I would use cal rose rice, tho. Make your own vanilla bean paste! That might be your next video. Sugar has a way of preserving and capturing certain favors. It definitely has a synergy with ginger. I would love to try that with vanilla beans. Vanilla beans are kinda spendy, too, but certainly cheaper than buying pre-made vanilla paste. The German's have the Dr. Oetker brand vanilla sugar that comes dry in a little packet for baking. You could probably score that online somewhere. I use the Costco vanilla myself.

Just buy a bunch of vanilla beans on eBay, dry them and blend to a powder and use that! You can also open some, then chop them in bits. Put in a bottle and add glycerine for a thick, lovely vanilla extract. The first time let it sit for 3 to 6 months before using, but after that, as you’ve used some, top it ip again with more glycerine (or propylene glycol, both works great for these things instead of alcohol/vodka. 🤗 💓🎄💓🎄💓
Good video, found the one without measurements first! It would not have occurred to me to be rude about the missing measurements. There are always nice ways to tell someone they've missed something out. Ignore them as they are ignorant! Nice and clear instructions and it's going to be the first thing I make in my Ninja Smart Lid jobby (technical term 🤣🤣) bought it for my birthday (74th). Even got me a silicone coated whisk. Keep up the good work. From soggy England!!🌧
That is quite the challenge! I don't have plans for this in the future, but I do have a brown rice recipe: ua-cam.com/video/77nwEyVD2Zc/v-deo.html where you could make that recipe as directed, then add a sugar substitute to taste, and use low fat or coconut/almond milk for the rest of the ingredients! Let me know if you try it!
You could experiment. Most people won’t like it, but I’m one person who does make a sugar free vegan brown rice pudding. I cook my brown rice with half the total liquid for 20 mins on the pressure cook setting. Once it’s cooked I let the pressure release naturally. Then I mix ground brown rice with some soy milk in a small bowl. I then add the mixture into my IP with the cooked brown rice, I add the rest of the liquid and put the IP on the slow cook mode (high temperature) for the whole day. I could pressure cook the rice, add the ground rice, rest of the milk, and constantly stir on the sauté mode until it’s done. For the first few times I made it, I did finish my brown rice pudding on the sauté mode. Now I don’t bother and I let the brown rice pudding finish cooking on the slow cook mode until it reaches the texture I like (takes 9 hours because I add a lot of liquid). I stir it periodically to prevent sticking and burning.
The things I receive comments about make me sad, sometimes. But the nice and encouraging comments and feedback make it all worth it! Thanks for watching! - Lisa
No sugar, No butter, No cream - half and half - a few drops of stevia - I think I'm going to add cinnamon into the mix - thanks to you I can cook like mom only better! Biggest challenge: Canoli!
Now rice call different amounts of water so how does that change the water part, basmati 1 cup rice/ 1.25 cup water, jasmin 1 cup rice/ 1.5 cup water, parboiled 1 cup rice/ 2 cup water
How much vanilla if u just have liquid vanilla. I watched the video several times and didn't hear it ....also is that brown sugar on the top or cinnamon
It should say 1,000 times better than Kozy Shack. That stuff isn't rice pudding. Even the texture is awful. Yours is a much better recipe and not preservatives or additives.
Sending you HATE? For a recipe omission? Gurl, I think some people need to have their heads examined. I'm sorry some felt it "necessary" to post ugliness to your inbox. The recipe on the home site is incorrect, once you dig through and actually find it. Focus on one thing and do it well, and then expand. This was a poor experience as far as a recipe is concerned.

Also, you just might wamt to make the above substutions a 'regular' feature for the channel. Great but do we really still need to use indistinct measurements like cups in this day and age? What about those of us who have more than one size cup in our cupboards? Why not grams or ounces?
Raw Eggs haven't been a statistically significant source of Salmonella poisoning for over a decade now. See Alton Brown's Good Eats reloaded about eggs.

i'm not sure what youtube has to do with not including measurements; that's a pretty central part of a recipe/showing how you make a dish. your justification for leaving it out last time only makes you look worse

how the hell are you gonna obviously pour both vanilla extract and vanilla bean paste together into that pot right in front of god and everybody, and then say you just added 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste without any mention of the extract amount?
Reheat it?? Rice pudding is eaten cold! Hot pudding yuck!! It's like eating hot liquid dinner rice. Or worse, like eating flan right out of the oven, it just a no no, not meant to be. I will try this recipe, but definitely cooling it in the fridge.
