I like that with minimalism, small details matter. The cut of a tee shirt, or the texture of a fabric can make a huge difference. It also highlights any cool accessories that you want to show off, like a vintage watch, the patina on a well worn leather belt or a really nice pair of shoes. The details that you’re really proud if don’t get lost in the noise of an overstyled outfit.
@khaorix maybe cut wasn’t the right word, but some are wide and short, some are long and slim and others are somewhere in the middle. Not every tee shirt is going to fit your body type perfectly.
I enjoy a lot of different aesthetics but sticking to a neutral palette has made it far easier to put outfits together for me. You can still have a few funky or coloured pieces as a statement but paired with basics/neutrals it rarely looks out of place.
i like minimalism in clothing because it highlights shapes and lines more and personally that is my favorite thing to have in an outfit. i love simple fabrics and clean lines, it makes me feel comfortable and "clean". i do agree that it's a pretty overused style and i honestly do think i dress pretty basic, but idc much. if you're happy, you're happy!
I think minimalism should be balanced with other design philosophies. Too much of one thing is a little over bearing. In minimalism's case it gives very sterile, soulless equilibrium/gattacca npc no emotion vibes
I think that to the fashion forward people the fits are too simple, but to the av people its actually fashionable because they belong to the fashion meta of slim jeans and whatever your parents/friends wear. The post minimalism isn't too bland for av people and its exactly what you are saying (play with cut/propprtion, have few stand out shit etc). @@FFL-7J i think it isnt bland because its still novel. I decided to go down a more minimal route, because I don't want to have a wardrobe full of clothes I "can't use", and makes it take an unnecessary amount of time each day to find an outfit. Also, buying more is less economical and not very environmentally friendly either.

Less is def more. I’m reminded of a quote - when talking about minimalist fashion - which is “Simplicity is the last step of art”. (Bruce Lee). When you strip things down to the bare essentials, you’re able to hone in more on what really matters…or something like that, ha.
This is why my wardrobe consists of a 10-pack of black shirts, some black levis, oldskool vans and a bomber jacket. Literally do not have to spend even a single braincell on picking out clothes.
Watched this video for some examples of minimal fits so I could be inspired to buy some items. Ended up just buying another hoodie. 10/10 great video would recommend to a friend
I'm grateful for the minimalist wave because now I don't have to think about my outfit too much. I can just wear a simple white/black shirt a pant and some accessories and look modern without much effort.
I have ADHD and am prone to get overwhelmed if I have too many choices. I prefer a wardrobe with a few pieces that go well together colour and style-wise. That doesn't mean I don't have statement pieces. And I do have big curly hair, which is a statement on its own. :D Throw in some jewellery into the mix and I'm done.
Same. Love having like 4 bottoms and 8 tops that all go together. Literally anything that is clean I can throw on my body and I'm good to walk out the door

My problem with minimalism is that for the 9 pieces 9 fits thing, outfits 6 and 7 (6:15) are THE SAME FUCKKIGN THING. You don't even get the shirt difference. Idk if most dudes would get shit for wearing the same outfit two days in a row, but my brain will insist it is Not Done(tm).

Yes, it’s the middle of summer, but instead if keeping it minimal, I guess i’ll put on more layers, wear all black Rick, and find whatever archive avant garde piece and slap it on my body
