When my hair started receeding, I felt really bad. I wondered if there was something wrong with me. Was I being punished? And so out of frustration, I buzzed my head.
And you know what? I looked fucking great with a buzzed head, and haven't looked back in the years since.
honestly been working with almost the same wardrobe for the past 5-6 years.. maybe add in a new pair of running shoes every now and then and still manage to come out with outfite combos I never thougtht about.. I love clothes and sneakers, but when you realize how little baring is has over your life outside its practical use, its liberating. for most of my 20s, iv been trying to buy the clothes I will wear forever and one day give to my unborn kids, not clothes I will be sick of next season.
Ive gone thru so much different phases/trends in my life…in the end…i always go back to my high top converse or vans with a blank tee and jeans. I dont judge anyone else’s stuff or style but for some reason thats what I always end up falling back too.

The denim loses its color when you wash it, its part of the game. I prefer to wear washed out denim and not smell like a hobo in perfect denim.

I waited for around 1.5 2 yrs before buying my first serous piece. I went into fashion culture on the internet to learn more, i watched runway shows and documentaries, and I learned what i was interested and how i wanted to focus my outfits

completely agree with #3 and #4! i used to want to commit to an aesthetic, and then by the time my closet was filled with it, i outgrew it. i don't even have a set aesthetic anymore, just work with what i have in a way that i like it now. and for trends (unless it's something basic like a new cut of jeans) i really make myself wait until after the trend dies, could even be a few years - just to make sure i actually like it. makes it harder to find an item when it's out of style, but at least i know that when i do, i'm gonna commit to it
I disagree on rule number 10 Do you really want years of crotch sweat buildup in your jeans? Wash your clothes every once in a while. Also reminder that you can re-dye clothes that lose their color from washing or fading from sun exposure etc. In fact, if you want to have a unique fit and style - mod and customize your clothes, that will make them One of a kind. I have a pink suede jacket that i bought from a thrift store and i decided to add studs to it, how often have you seen a pink suede jacket with studs? Not that often right? That is my advice nr 11.
You only need to wash denim every 10-15 wears. I just go by smell test honestly but if you wash super often you will ruin both colour and shape of the denim

I hand wash my denim, if absolutely needed,. I love denim for life, I love denim on denim for life. I love indigo, and original japan cotton Hanten. Looking best in a loose fit skinny jean, and i love long skirts. I dont have the money or possibility for perfection (no easy acces to Japanese stuff), but I will try getting better any way.
My new thing is random dressing, just digging into my closet and floor and se what happening. :-D
