I’m not a mom. I don’t want to be a mom, but I love watching this channel. I was so sad when you decided to stop posting here. I completely understand why you wanted to stop. I was so excited to see you posting again about your pregnancy. It’s a total para social relationship, but I love seeing your videos from this channel in my feed. Please post whatever you want and I’ll watch! Can’t wait for more!
Same here, no kids for me, by choice. Her pregnancy videos and struggles made me realize how we alienate pregnant women, not on purpose. Love all her content
Love the more mom/postpartum content! There is not enough content around mom’s after pregnancy and I love that you’re protecting your baby’s privacy and focusing on yourself ❤️
I love to see how you’re pallet has changed over the last few what i eat in a day video; it’s crazy that you were never a fruit or sweets kinda person and now that all u want as well as meat ! I love that you mentioned that you did what u felt was best for Fern while she’s growing, like that just shows so much sacrifice for a mother 🥹
Not a breast feeding mom nor do I plan to have kids but have continually loved these videos, I find it hard to figure out what to feed myself so seeing other people's ideas helps a lot!
I've never wanted kids but I still love watching these videos of yours. You and your family are amazing, and I'm sure you are doing an awesome job at being a mom. 😁❤️
Totally understand your decision to not share Fern focused content, people can be so nasty for no reason. Love this kind of content and the reality of being a new mum and the day to day struggles that a lot of creators don’t include💗
Kudos to you on recognizing the best thing for you and your baby and it's so comforting seeing you do something that I hope to do in the next few years, being a mom
I am so proud of you for being open and real about pregnancy and pp. My favorite easy snacks are sandwiches or wraps as long as it has pickles it is so good! I have been eating a lot of turkey, pesto, mozzarella, and jalapeño paninis and veggies with hummus is always quick and easy too. Sending so much love to you and your family💜💜
I loved this vlog! Thanks for showing the reality of being a new parent and how hard it is, while also finding ways to nourish yourself that work for you and your family :) I’m not a parent but my go to snacks are all processed because we’re very anti-diet over here due to Ed history. So I like muffins, animal crackers, English muffin with peanut butter, toast with cinnamon sugar, hard boiled egg with goldfish crackers, butterfly crackers with cheese, cheese sticks, etc! And I also love sweets so cookies, cake, brownies and ice cream. I’m autistic so I have a lot of executive function issues with cooking and I think choosing to nourish yourself with whatever is accessible is always the better choice and something I’ve been working on. I really love to see you doing something similar! Just honoring your cravings, hunger cues and such.. that’s awesome ❤️
Yes please feel free to post more content like this!! I was a SAHM exclusively breastfeeding my daughter during the pandemic, it was rough but I’m still happy we had so much time together. I enjoyed buying the blueberry muffins from Costco, they’re HUGE, so makes for an easy breakfast.
I love how honest and real you are! It was actually nice seeing that while eating my breakfast! Your expectations for yourself are also amazing, very compassionate! ❤
I relate to a lot of what you’ve spoke about in this video. I was vegan before I got pregnant with my son and chose to eat meat again for similar reasons. Please don’t let anyone make you feel bad for making decisions that are best for you and your family!!!! And we support the decision to keep Fern free and safe from the ridicule of the evil internet comment section! Much love from Socal❤
Fern has such good taste in shows! Also sandwiches are the BOMB! They’re just so convenient and handy to eat when you’ve got other things going on! AND the sunchips? I’m jealous!!
p.s. i love that ur setting boundaries w the internet for urself and fern. that’s really healthy and i totally get the ‘mom shaming’ aspect 😅 sometimes the internet makes you feel like you can’t do anything right!!
I breastfed my daughter up until a month before she turned three! My biggest thing through the journey was honour your hunger and listen to your body and follow your hunger cues the same way you follow your babies! Meal wise, whenever I was stumped on what to make I’d alway create a meal that had a source of iron/ protein, veggie or fruit and a high calorie food like full fat yogurt or pasta just for example. By focusing on those three items it helped so much creating a balanced, nutrient rich meal even if all the items didn’t necessarily go together!
thank you for posting this and sharing this part of your life with all of us💛 im just sorry people in your comment section feel the need to tell you what to do with your own body. there's always a wave of people attacking anyone online who goes from vegetarian/vegan to eating animal products again, and it's just so tiring and uncalled for. keep protecting your peace and living your best life mama, so excited for this next chapter of your life✨
Everytime you made a snack I smiled so much it’s nice you’re not putting pressure on yourself and enjoying food! I’m pregnant and this is my first and it’s been so nice finding your videos 😊😊😊😊
Love these kinds of videos! I’ve never been around pregnancy until my sister had her baby and it was an eye opener to what new mothers go through! I want to eventually become a mom :)
I’m so happy to see you being a mommy! It can be so difficult, especially at this age/stage but you seem to be absolutely rocking it 💜 one of my favorite snacks for breastfeeding is getting large Tupperware container, putting in 1-2 cups of rolled oats, peanut butter and chocolate chips (I prefer dark chocolate). Mix it together, chill it. You can roll it into balls but I just kept it as is and would eat it with a spoon when my sweet tooth came on. I craved sweets while pregnant and still do postpartum so I wanted to find a little bit of a healthier sweet snack. Absolutely love this!
Ty for the fritos and hummus idea! Little Fern is so cute. I've flopped back and forth between vegetarian, vegan, and omnivore soooo many times throughout my life haha. Good for you for doing what works best for you and Fern!
missed your food/cooking videos so much ahh! and my favourite snack to have when i'm feeling lazy is a cream cheese bagel with salami and lettuce, it never gets old 😫
Yes! More of these type of videos. One of my favorite snacks is plain unsweetened yogurt with maple syrup to sweeten it and I also add in granola (Purely Elizabeth is my favorite) and some kind of berries 🙂
Please more videos on this channel! I would love so more what I eat in a day recipes! A snack video would be great once you have one. I struggle with making snacks at home and I’m really trying to eat out less 🥲
loving the recent videos sarah! it's been really interesting (even though i'm not a parent) watching your journey through motherhood - I've really appreciated your take on motherhood/pregnancy, i feel like you had a pretty different POV/had really interesting things to say! i'm a long time viewer (though don't think i've commented before) so loving the new content, honestly will watch anything you upload! for fast meals, i really struggle to feed myself bc of ed stuff but especially bc of adhd!! my go-tos are literally just pasta with canned tuna or smoked salmon fillet (if you're feeling up to it, you can easily and quickly make a butter/garlic/lemon juice sauce to *elevate*). those microwave rice pouches have been a total lifehack for me - so easy, and then. i'll just fry an egg and throw whatever veg i have into a pan to eat w the rice. long comment oops!
I’ve been following your horror channel for a long time now, which I love. When you announced your pregnancy I was stoked because I was due on 12/30, close to you. My son is now 7 weeks. Then when you gave birth, I loved hearing your birth story video also your first post partum video as well. It made me feel like I had someone to relate to. I know you’re busy and overwhelmed as a new mom, but I’d love to see more content on your mom life…struggles, feelings, thoughts, sleep, etc. It would make me feel less alone. And no worries about showing your daughter. Her privacy is important. You’re doing an amazing job as a mother ❤
Quick Protein Salad: 1 cup of cottage cheese, one avocado and 1 cup of chickpeas. Seasoning: lemon, salt & pepper. It‘s so quick and it‘s cottage cheese 🥰😂🤓
So my daughter is 15 months now and my oldest is 5 so we've gotten the hang of the whole eating and momming thing. The crock pot is my BFF. I throw chicken in there with some sort of sauce/seasoning situation multiple times a week that I can easily heat up for soups, tacos, sandwiches, whatever. There are just soooo many easy ways to prepare it.
I really enjoyed this video. Fern was adorable laying on the sofa. Her favorite show being the ceiling fan was so cute. I have never put honey on my cottage cheese and fruit but I sure am going to try that soon. :)
Fern is so cute!! So happy for you. Also struggle with snacks but the red pepper hummus from target is great with raw snow peas to dip them. Also like the Siggi's yogurts with a good chunky granola
Banana with peanut butter on top (either sliced into thin slices or just in half, and with or without cinnamon and a few minutes under the grill) is one of my favourite snacks; I love Greek yogurt with granola as well for a nice filling snack. You’re looking amazingly healthy and beautiful and so is Fern - so glad to see a realistic view of life as a new mum (literally for the first few weeks after my daughter was born my favourite food was anything I could grab out of the fridge and bolt down with little to no interference between feeds/changes!)
Hypoglycemic here, which means I eat a high protein diet. Pregnancy and pumping were a bit brutal on my sugars, so here were some of my favorites. *Plain Greek yogurt with honey, cinnamon, and berries. The flavored Greek yogurts are also yummy. *Salami wrapped with mozzarella/or a cheese stick. *Simple Black bean burritoes made with lots of veggies and all the good toppings, and a little cream cheese slathered on the inside of the burrito. *Toad in a hole (bread with an egg fried in it) *Boiled eggs that I then transformed into higher protein by deviling them with Greek yogurt (you could also use sour cream), small amount of sugar of sweetener, mustard or spicy brown mustard, and hot sauce.
Easy lunch / dinner suggestion - frozen Shrimp Scampi from Sam’s club (I’m sure Costco has similar) with angel hair or any type of pasta, really. The good thing about this is that it takes about the same time, which is ~8min, to cook both and you can do it at the same time!
I feel you on the mom shaming. I'm 8 months post partum now, which is crazy. But someone in my life on the daily mom shames me. I don't think they mean to but everyone has an opinion on every single thing I do.
Fern is such a cutie pie! Love that you are finding a good balance of sharing your life as a mom and also doing what feels right when it comes to setting boundaries for your family and what you're sharing. For snacks, I love going to Trader Joes and just seeing what calls out to me! Lately my go-to snacks have been jarred peaches in juice and apples with peanut or almond butter and cinnamon.
I loved that, it did seem very real and not just cookie cutter meals made for camera. a snack i love is deli meat tacos which is just cheese wrapped with deli meat into little tacos. i also love peanut butter so some apple with peanut butter is always great.
Not a breastfeeding mom but I am also a lover of cottage cheese. One of my favorite snacks is cottage cheese with Everything but the Bagel seasoning in it. I usually eat that by itself but I also use it as a dip for chips or crackers. You could also put some black pepper and garlic powder in there too 😊
I loved the honesty of this. In the early days I was living off Nature Valley crunchy bars and wine gums (think they're probably a UK thing, basically fruit flavoured gummy sweets), and drank a lot of Lucozade Sport (for electrolytes) and water! And a lot of sandwiches :)
I'm not sure if this would be a good fit for your life, but as someone who consistently forgets about coffee when I'm trying to work, using a desktop mug warmer has been a game changer! It's just a little hot plate the size of a mug and it keeps coffee at perfect drinking temp.
Quick snack (but still filling) - I love getting Naan or any kind of flatbread (trader joes has the goods), slap some hummus on there, maybe some deli meat, and I like to cut carrot and cucumber strips for it too. Then you have yourself a healthy little wrap that takes maybe 2 minutes to throw together.
I don’t have kids but I love watching these videos of yours! You’re doing great Sarah ❤️ also since you’ve been loving chicken sammys you should try boars head blazing buffalo! Sooo good. I get it in the deli section 😋 I think there’s a chipotle one too
I'm not a mom but, for quick snacks I often do strawberries with melted chocolate or, for a lil bit more protein, apple slices dipped in peanut butter!
The breastfeeding hunger is so real, way more intense than pregnancy I agree. I'm 1 year in and still could easily consume 3000 or more calories a day, I go to bed hungry almost every night 😭
Currently exclusively breastfeeding my second and I find homemade oat bars and oatmeal are super filling, as well as slow cooker/Dutch oven recipes with leftover potential (like bbq chicken, veggie noodle soup, etc). These are nutritious, filling, and can end up being several meals! Plus they are a bit easy if you have other kids.
Sarah I love your videos and I love getting any content from you. When you mention Fern's favorite show the ceiling fan, I was oh I need to investigate for my baby niece lol I didn't caught that at first lol. I hope you, baby Fern and Ryan are doing well. Baby Fern is a cutie pie💕
Yess🎉 I been waiting for these I’m 6 months pp and I have such a difficult time drinking so much water but I push myself due to needing to produce more milk
Love this realistic video…. Also 16 years later into motherhood ….still reheating my coffee over and over. Mostly because I make it and get distracted and forgot where I put it…🤣
An old mom here, kids 17 and 14, lol, but for meals, make your crockpot your best friend. So many easily put together meals you can prep in 15 minutes, let cook all day and dinner is done. Plus you can double a batch and have quick leftovers. Another kitchen gadget I love is my pressure cooker. Mine can cook anything, even from frozen, in no time at all.
I’m a big fan of cottage cheese! My go to is added olive oil, black pepper and honey (preferably warm honey). Sometimes I’ll use it as a dip but usually just eat it with a spoon!
I love how realistic this is. 😂❤ I love eating sandwiches from the George Foreman now. It’s got everything you have, but with sourdough bread, turkey and guacamole. I also enjoy simple oatmeal with oat milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and honey. Oats are great for breastfeeding.
My absolute must have when I was breastfeeding was trail mix. I also liked the steamable frozen veggies I just throw in the micro for a few mins and put some seasoning on that. Cottage cheese and salsa was also a fast favorite. I definitely had more savory cravings when I was breastfeeding. A crock pot changed my life, throwing a bunch of easy ingredients together and just having it cook all day, it was so convenient for dinners if you haven't tried one I would def recommend!
You're doing great! Yogurt with granola is great, i love the crunch. It's been a while since my babies were babies, and I really don't remember much of pregnancy/newborn/breastfeeding because the sleep deprivation messed up my memory, but I also loved anything I could pop in the oven and let it roast. Chickpeas were great, I couldn't do a lot of veggies, both my tummy and the babies, but we made it work (like broccoli was HELL). It was also just a lot of packaged, easy to make/grab. Or slow cooker stuff for dinners. Black bean and chicken and corn tacos were bomb (one can black beans, drained, one can corn, drained, chicken of your choice, could even still be frozen, jar of salsa and seasoning. 8 hours on low, shred the chicken in the pot and its good to go).
I'm not a mom, but some of my favorite snacks are fruit with cheese (I like to pair strawberries or pears with a sharp white cheddar), carrots and broccoli with hummus, and bread with olive oil herbs and balsamic vinegar
I find this content of yours to be very grounding and random in a good way. I think they could help many worried future pregnant or potentially pregnant people out there.
Remembering my days/months as a new mom is making me so stressed for you! A bit of friendly advice since ive been there, avocados & oatmeal are your best friends! Also eggs (i know, thanks obama 😂) sending you all the good vibes & you got this ❤ Almost forgot the nut butter !
Haven't even finished the video, but just want to say... I was vegetarian / somewhat vegan for 8+ years. Ultimately, I stopped for a variety of reasons. They are personal and related to my health and wellbeing. Food is such a personal decision, and such a huge part of our lives. You know what is best for your body and your mental wellbeing. You are doing a phenomenal job listening to what you need and honoring that. I also just want to say that I am really enjoying all of these videos from you. Your honesty and openness has made me a lot less fearful, and I think it opens up a lot of important discussion around pregnancy. But also, like probably a lot of people here, I will happily watch any kind of content you make whether it's lifestyle, food, fashion, etc. Just keep doing what's best for you and feels right!
Eat watermelon for milk flow!🥰 or any other juicey fruit on its own but especially melons. Having dates on hand is great for that quick energy kick too☺️
i love roasted chickpeas with paprika and nutritional yeast for snack. have you tried? they are easy to make and you can prepare loads at once and reheat them when hungry 😊
my favorite snack lately is making my own mix of nuts and dried fruits. i’m not sure whether it’s good for breastfeeding, but it’s super satiating, which is hard for me to find because i’m a major snacker. i plan to have kids in the future, and i’m kinda concerned about my snacking tendencies getting even more extreme 😅
i hope this isn't a weird question but how are your cats doing around fern? i just want to know if they are adjusting because i have a cat and want to be a parent in the future
I was curious about that too, just because animals can have such drastically different personalities and her solid black cat seems to be a little more skittish (at least I've always assumed so based upon her videos). My cats when I had my daughter absolutely loved her and were always curled up with her.
Loved the video! I have a 10 month old, and when he was about 3 months, I was like, enough, I need meat (I had been vegetarian for 8 years). All pregnancy I craved meat, and I still craved it after. I'm EBF too and it's just such a worry off my mind. My iron was always low, and now it's one less thing to worry about. Thanks for sharing!
You’re doing great! You’re an inspiration too, juggling it all. My daughters 14 now but back then I could drink coffee after 6pm and still sleep lol. It gets easier. Also she’s so cute!! Love your reviews but this is fun to see too. For quick food ideas.. I do a lot of burritos so I make up tubs of ground beef, grated cheese, tomato, mixed greens and all that kinda stuff throw it in the fridge and we can just throw it together zap it in the microwave and eat fast.
It's the same for me. I'm childfree by choice, but I adore Sara and her personality, so I'll watch whatever she puts up :D
Same here, no kids for me, by choice. Her pregnancy videos and struggles made me realize how we alienate pregnant women, not on purpose. Love all her content
same here!!
I really hope The Ceiling Fan gets renewed for season two
Love the more mom/postpartum content! There is not enough content around mom’s after pregnancy and I love that you’re protecting your baby’s privacy and focusing on yourself ❤️
Also a breastfeeding mom! My favorite fast meals are:
-Omelettes
-Smoothies
-Chicken greek wraps
-Pbj sandwich
-Tuna bowls
-Naan bread + air fryer falafel
-Oatmeal
-Turkey sandwich
Snacks:
-Dates with peanut butter
-Protein bars
-Yogurt “parfait” (berries, nuts, banana)
-Homemade energy balls

My favorite snack if you can call it that way - is milkshakes! It's so easy to make! Loved the video, I love this kind of "vlogish" vibe in video
Yes! More of these type of videos.

That is the coolest coffee maker. I love how real you are, I'm pregnant with my second boy, so these videos bring comfort, and are very relatable 💓
missed these videos!! 🫶🏻 so happy to see you posting more on this channel!
Also, baby Fern is so cute!!
Hey, we eat the same breakfast! My son is 6 weeks old so it’s really nice to see how you’re doing/dealing at this time. It’s like I have a mom friend
The breastfeeding munchies are brutal. Watching your postpartum journey definitely reminds me of mine. I'm 2 years postpartum now, but woo, flashbacks
I loved the video and also your insights on everything! Keep going girl!. And your horror videos have been awesome, you're doing amazing!
I’m a new mom too. And I love it when people are open and honest about real mom life. Watching from Korea
To this day my family still talks about how I loved the ceiling fan as a baby. They put those little neon circle stickers on the blades for me!
Hypoglycemic here, which means I eat a high protein diet. Pregnancy and pumping were a bit brutal on my sugars, so here were some of my favorites.

For snacks, I love going to Trader Joes and just seeing what calls out to me! Lately my go-to snacks have been jarred peaches in juice and apples with peanut or almond butter and cinnamon.
I loved that, it did seem very real and not just cookie cutter meals made for camera. a snack i love is deli meat tacos which is just cheese wrapped with deli meat into little tacos. i also love peanut butter so some apple with peanut butter is always great.
omg please do more day in my life videos!! this made me so happy! and tell me why I was waving hi at fern like she could see me hahahaha
Not a breastfeeding mom but I am also a lover of cottage cheese. One of my favorite snacks is cottage cheese with Everything but the Bagel seasoning in it. I usually eat that by itself but I also use it as a dip for chips or crackers. You could also put some black pepper and garlic powder in there too 😊
Apples with peanut butter
I love how realistic this is!
I love these what I eat in a day videos!! PS- Fern is beautiful!!!😊
I don’t have kids but I love watching these videos of yours! You’re doing great Sarah ❤️ also since you’ve been loving chicken sammys you should try boars head blazing buffalo! Sooo good. I get it in the deli section 😋 I think there’s a chipotle one too
Fav snack; Rice cake o two with frosting I use zero sugar and sprinkles heated up in the microwave for 10 seconds (:
I'm not a mom but, for quick snacks I often do strawberries with melted chocolate or, for a lil bit more protein, apple slices dipped in peanut butter!
I like how your kitty gave a high five.
It took you leaving for a while for me to understand, but girl, you're my favorite UA-camr. 😂
I love these videos. You always keep it real and show healthy and natural eating habits. ❤
I love eating sandwiches from the George Foreman now. It’s got everything you have, but with sourdough bread, turkey and guacamole. I also enjoy simple oatmeal with oat milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and honey. Oats are great for breastfeeding.
Smoothies are good for quick meals or snacks too especially adding nut butters for protein
!!!! I LOVE COHEED AND CAMBRIA!! Absolute favourite band. Had no idea you liked them too. 😊
The breastfeeding hunger was way more instance than in pregnancy. I even had to eat throughout the night.
Where did you get the smile mug from
Remembering my days/months as a new mom is making me so stressed for you! A bit of friendly advice since ive been there, avocados & oatmeal are your best friends! Also eggs (i know, thanks obama 😂) sending you all the good vibes & you got this ❤
Almost forgot the nut butter !
Love when you post on this channel! Baby Fern is too sweet!
I love little vlogs like this ❤️
Love seeing these videos Sarah!
Lovelovelove this vid ♥️♥️ and that sandwich making was lowkey asmr
I know nothing about being a mother, but I think you’re doing a great job. 🖤
Eat watermelon for milk flow!🥰 or any other juicey fruit on its own but especially melons. Having dates on hand is great for that quick energy kick too☺️
i love roasted chickpeas with paprika and nutritional yeast for snack. have you tried? they are easy to make and you can prepare loads at once and reheat them when hungry 😊
so happy to see this video - I enjoy these! thanks for sharing!
my favorite snack lately is making my own mix of nuts and dried fruits. i’m not sure whether it’s good for breastfeeding, but it’s super satiating, which is hard for me to find because i’m a major snacker. i plan to have kids in the future, and i’m kinda concerned about my snacking tendencies getting even more extreme 😅
i hope this isn't a weird question but how are your cats doing around fern? i just want to know if they are adjusting because i have a cat and want to be a parent in the future
I do a lot of burritos so I make up tubs of ground beef, grated cheese, tomato, mixed greens and all that kinda stuff throw it in the fridge and we can just throw it together zap it in the microwave and eat fast.
i love ur channel soo much
