I have some fairly new Jorgensen clamps and they started slipping after just months of use, contacted Jogensen about the problem and got no reply. Tried your fix and it works great, thank you for sharing!
Thanks Brandon! Looks really simple. Will try this with a few of the many quick grip clamps I have that lose their grip now. I'll try to get back here and report my results.
Thanks ! I just bought 6 more because some of mine are slipping. I absolutely HATE throwing tools away. .I was going to open them up and look for the problem....I should know by now (70 years old) that the FIRST thing to do is the SIMPLEST thing to try ...LOL!! Thanks for your wisdom !
I stumbled on a better method (for me anyway). Find a 2mm thick, 1cm (ish) wide file that has 'teeth' on the sides and drag it down the length of the clamp at about 35 degree angle. If possibly will judder down the clamp leaving grooves.
