Bro can you plz help me..I play Java1.17.1 and my flying machine is not returning. After hitting the observer on the other side, it just moves 1 block and then it stops. Its so annoying. Please help

@@simplyy.aviation did u do everything correctly? even if u think u did check again. Maybe you didn't activate the red stone lever at the other side (the redstone repeater doesn't turn red, when it's on) or maybe ur observers are facing the wrong way
the machine just moves one block from the start and we did the tutorial correctly just know the observer at the front blocks
for those wondering, me and my cousing just build this beast in 1.18.2 ( Java / multiplayer ) and it still works.

I trick I did when I made a sugarcane version of this, was had two daylight sensors, one was inverted, to activate the flying machine. Every night it'd activate, and every day it'd activate, its a little easier in my opinion.
easier than placing an observer that triggers when the plants get tall?
did you have to add sand and water for that, if so how?

Also I made an automatic fuel For furnaces from it and make a long hopper line till my smelting room
If you don't like a large hopper line or have less iron you could always use a dropper with a clock into a water stream

Freshy i built a sugar cane farm and i can confirm this, it did take me 3 nights for the slime blocks
1 night i was extremely lucky and got 2 stacks of slime (with the area flattened)
My nearest swamp is 1K blocks away, luckily i found it late game or i could portal travel
Also 2 nights I couldn’t get slime because it was at the new moon stage but I took my advantage to get iron and gold and coal and I did get 56 diamonds with my fortune
why isnt the flyin machine not working? im on java edition, went back a couple of times and theres isnt anything blocking its way
doesnt matter i fixed it by removing glass on the left and right side
it just wont remove the left and right bamboo any more but still is good

Just find a slime chunk, make a platform and put iron Golems outside of the 4 sides of your platform, get magma blocks between the golem and the 4 sides of your platform and make a collection system with a hopper minecart underneath it

If you're having trouble, bamboo forests contain thousands upon thousands of bamboo, and with a good axe you'll have 500 in less than 10 minutes.

Working in 1.20.1 - But, I learned something during this build, that Bamboo requires a light level of 9 or higher to grow. So, for all of the non-dirt blocks in the floor and the first row of glass (except around the redstone/obsidian), I used frog lights (any full light block should work). The farm is producing even faster than it has in other worlds where I've used it PLUS, you could build it underground or inside a structure.

Can you use glowstone to replace all the layers of glass then put laterns on top of the bamboo?
@@nevinnguyen3440 Well, after some testing, I've discovered that this isn't completely effective. Apparently the required light level of 9 for the bamboo, is measured at the current "top" of the plant. So, the middle 3 or 4 rows on each side of center only grow 4 or 5 blocks tall, then stop. When I checked the light level on the tops of those bamboo blocks, it shows them at light level 8. So, they're not growing any more past that. I've replaced all of the glass, even on the top, with frog lights. Just because of the size and shape, the light can't get all the way to the middle. So, this really needs to be built above ground with nothing blocking the light from the sky. Of course, by adding these lights above ground, you'd still encourage the bamboo to grow, even during the night cycle. Plus, you'd have a very bright farm you could see from a distance. Hope that helps.
My pistons were not moving at all. And I made the exact way you did it. Any idea how to fix?
if the flying machine wasn't working, try to check if there are any blocks underneath/above it blocking it
Are you playing in bedrock/windows edition? Doesnt work there.
I built this embedded in water and now I have to extend the square.. next time please just say it`s 20x32 :D it`s not a huge fix but it`s still annoying :D

works perfectly on java 1.20.4
For people who say it doesnt work. The problem is propably with the growth detecting detector that change pulses to quick updating the flying machine detector twice so it stops at the next block. Instead of this platform with two detectors on the right use a minecraft hopper clock (i used 5 stacks of items in order to make flying interwals as far away as possible). Ad an detector and a signal extender on 2 ticks after it so it wont update the block twice (it will bug again). Schematic should be like this: hopper clock -> detector -> signal extender -> lamp

I think you should just be able to remove the observers that activate when the bamboo grows (the ones in front of the repeaters that activate the lamp)
I completed this bamboo farm and on the first time the flying machine runned it was ok but the end to time it stopped half way through and I tried to remove the repeater and place it back and it worked. But the next time after that it broke and it stopped on the first push of the flying machine. Is this something to do with 1.16? How do I fix it?
This is only a guess but I'm thinking if a bamboo stalk grows right in front of the observer at just the right (or wrong) moment then it triggers the observer an extra time and disrupts its rhythm. I'm having the same problem often, though intermittently.

My observers were working but now they stopped, anyone know why? I'm on a faction server so is it tick-related?
perhaps your server has a plugin like paper or spigot thats messing with your observers
maybe use a hopper clock instead of the observers to activate your farm.

I don't know what I did wrong but one of my sticky piston isn't working. The slime won't stick to it and it just gets stuck after one push

BAMBOO FARM FIX
if you built this farm and it isnt inputing the bamboo in the chests its due to the redstone torch locking the hopper so an easy fix for this it to move the redstone torch which powers the rails one block back so its 1+ block away from the hoppers so they get unlocked and this doesnt affect the rails in anyway and they will still be powered
Some farms are broken in 1.17. this farm is fully broken. My world with these farms broke every time and tested in creative world
for some unknown reason my farm does not work :( it does not fly at all ... :(

UPDATE FOR 1.19 This flying machine still works but you have to use slime instead of honey blocks. At least this was my problem but I just got it working after changing the blocks out.

Actually if you have a fletcher villager you can trade them sticks, and you can turn bamboo into sticks

Such a versatile material bamboo is it's very powerful. It grows very quickly. Is a fuel source. Can be turned into sticks for emeralds. And it's getting buffed in next update with planks that can be used for pistons, chests Ect

To make an automatic sugarcane farm all you need is the sugarcane and behind it a row of any block. Then another row ontop of pistons, and then a row of observers facing the sugarcane. After, just connect it all together with redstone and you're done.
@Manuel you don"t need extra water, only the water to make the sugarcane plantable, and that water flows to a hopper with a chest

Just made it as well. It didn’t work I did exactly as this video shows and all it does is break one row of bamboo on the left side and will occasionally push the right piston out of position

protip: if you have low amount of slime balls like me, make it super long and narrow, you will save lot of slime balls
For anyone wondering how to get the flying machine working I figured out the issue (at least the issue I had). so the issue I had is that you can't make the "arms" (the slime blocks) of the machine too wide they can only be 9 blocks on both sides or else it won't move so I had to make mine shorter. Hope this helps :) (I stole this comment btw)
Mine still won’t work. :( I saw this comment and got excited and tried changing it but my pistons kinda just move a little bit but don’t go anywhere. Is it like a bedrock/Java kinda thing? Does it only work in Java?

There must be redstone torches in proximity. Remove those and place them an extra block away from hoppers
