I haven't heard an XR idle that well since Bart Markel's @ Clarksville MI. The sport will never be the same without them. Thanks so much for your awesome videos, the sights and sounds take me back to so many great memories. Congrats on a great season. I look forward to whatever you do next, cause I know you will rock it!
Being a fan of motorcycle racing although flat track wasn't my chosen form(hare scramble/moto) I know what a hotshoe is, remember when they were calling some Chris Carr guy the prince of Peoria, and when i think of of the #3 it's not a guy named Dale in a black car it's a guy named Ricky on a xr750 that we lost WAY before we should've so I'd like to think I'm close to the average flat track fan in knowledge but this is the1st I'm hearing of this & I'm speechless & gutted!!! What does this do for the miles?? Please don't tell me i screwed around & missed my chance to see a classic 10 rider draft fest at 140 mph one handed in a tuck... It's already on my bucket list!! Can someone who knows what this means for the miles eenlighten me? Please & thank ya.. Anyhoo good ride Slammer!! Ya did the ole girl proud... ride her hard & put her away wet!!!
Some good history there! Next year it will be going to production based motors and only time will tell how that affects the racing. It could / should get good again. Will miss the XR-750 though.
A change for the better, there are ten different V-twins allowed an instead of a boring succesion of XR750's with millions of bucks development (and rule changes to keep the rest out) it might be Ducati against Indian, Harley against KTM and whatever else the guys can tune. Might make AFT great again!
Not to worry, Harley has found a new way to win: Ban the FTR 750. If is was not so scummy, it would still be scummy. Harley wants championships with minimum effort, titles without merit. The AMA comes to the rescue by dumbing the class down. There is nothing the black and orange do on the track that should be respected.
Harley was a winner but all the other bikes they cried about them so much ,mad Honda put restrictor plates on so much they just wouldn’t run so they pulled out after they won 2 championships now there crying about the Indians, just let all the different bikes race

That’s right! Glad you enjoyed it, nothing like the rumble of an XR-750! Keepin the good times rolling 😎
I’ve *really* enjoyed your video wrap-ups this year! Thanks for providing a look into how it all goes down at the track! 🤙
You’re welcome glad you enjoyed it, put a bit of effort into this edit, will be nice to look back on when I’m all washed up and just watching haha
Hell of a run. Good to see that old HD still sending it.
It’s still got it!
Enjoyed your video. Excellent video and great narration of the event. 🎉
Appreciate it 👊
Rode a Triumph on flat tracks, late 60s and early 70s. These XR750s were game changers.
Wild to think about how long it’s been in the game
If people like Sammy were running the show, AFT would blow up. His attitude, aesthetics, etc. are a model for the sport's success.
Yes that’s the energy we need! 🥂
It was sure nice to see the only Harley worth owning take the trophy dash! Go fast, turn left my friend!
Thank you Sammy for all of the years of great racing that you have given us & thanks to the XR750, the most successful racing motorcycle of all time.
Appreciate it! 🥂
Great job Sammy.
Awesome Sammy!!!!!!
nice ride
RAD! 🏆
Sending the Harley out in style
Been a good run!
Great Videos Sammy. Keep them Rollin"
So rad!!!
Great job Sammy.
XR750's Are Flat Track for many people. Sorry to see them go.
I enjoyed that. Good job.
Appreciate it!
🤘
Keep the HD alive! you just need a tweek or two. You would've taken Meese out had it been just a little tweeked! Good job.
💪
Great stuff. Who's your videographer? Nice production. Your XR rocked.
Thank you! My gal Klair has been filming all the behind the scenes stuff and then I edit it together.
Without the vtwins its gonna be a matter of who slips and slides the least. Do you think the estenson bikes have heavier cranks in them ?
Ya I’d assume so, they’re definitely ahead of the game.
Wow Sam the last time I saw that bike was I believe July 2014 in Elma. In fact there's a photo of it hangin on the wall in my garage. Subscribed
@@robertjezek2867 That's awesome! Woulda won that dang race in Elma if the clutch didn't start slipping! That still stings to think about haha.

Sammy what gear do you use?
How much for your XR?
Was thinking to put a package together with a set of my old factory HD leathers etc and try to get 100k from a collector.
@@sammyhalbert sounds right. I hope it goes somewhere people will be able to see it!
That place kinda reminded me of Topeka
Ya kinda similar! We had some good races in Topeka back in the day
Yo yo yo does that thing have the Dellorto Pumper Carbs hee hee
Haha something like that

Bet it was kinda like hooking up with your ex from 10 years ago….. great memories but not as good a ride as you remember .🤣

Wow you’re 40 with #69 and Of 😂
Haha not 40 yet but ya pretty ideal 🤙
this is fake, look at front fork
Haha really? What’s wrong with my forks?
@@sammyhalbert half frontforks ?
@@fendermarshallbluesbox3407 They're conventional front forks, from an older R6.
