Anyone tell me if this is just a one time thing or...? I would donate to keep this challenge going for as often as the funding permits.

That's how supercross should work. Last 5 min. Start pulling the stragglers off and that placing is were they point. Wanna race the full race? Go faster! Makes it easier for the fans also to get some of the lappers out of there late in the race. That way they know were the front runners are.
Welton and simonson are both smx riders. Darryn Durham and jlaw are both ex pros. Darryn Durham does alot of riding with twitch and those boys in the free ride world nowadays. Used to ride for pro circuit and many other teams. And we all know jlaw is a legend
