- The Roland TR-8S Guide. I'll explain this time how to create a Bassline. I use samples in A0 and F0 notes. This is part 1and the next video will be part 2. I use Ableton live 10 to create my samples. Simple step-by-step explanation in a short video. Easy to follow.
This is video no. 38 in my TR-8S tutorial series. Please check out my latest videos. I hope you find the videos helpful. Thanks, guys :) #BASSLINE #TR-8S
Could this have been done on the one channel and then setting a different Tune values to get the A F A# sound, right?
super cool!
Great!
Couldn’t you just use one track for one note, for example instead of having 3 tracks with the same A0 sample just use the first A0 track to play the rest of the A notes in the Bassline? That would free up more tracks for other sounds.
Hey, actually I was waiting for exactly this question :)
Yes I could do this to free up instruments but for example purposes I decided to do it like this. It's easier to see and to understand. The only negative thing would be you are not able to alter individually the A0 notes and the F0 notes because there are on one Inst together.
A possible way would be like: chain pattern together, use the first ptn the full baseline to alter the sound then maybe on the second ptn have the notes together and so on.
Cheers
One track per note?!

top as usual !!! thks ;-)))
i was just wondering: is it possible to sidechain the internal reverb i'm adding to the ext-in signal? works on the old TR-8, but can't figure out if my TR-8S can do the same. so far the ext-in-signal is sidechained, but i also want the reverb tail then to be sidechained. seems not to be possible, or?
This
I just tune a baseline on one track and not using the tune knob with motion but actually tuning each note, it’s easy if you have a tune chart.
Zweiter Grund ist was du geschrieben hast. Ich werde im zweiten Teil die Inst individuell ändern. Was ja leider wenn man sich die Spuren spart nicht möglich ist. ;)
how to build easily bassline on one track ? I don't understand how I can find the note with tune or coarse knob
Finding the note just with tune and coarse knop is not easy... You can use a DAW like Ableton or a simple guitar tuner.
Coarse : semi tones
6 instruments actually u can do with one instrument , different steps different notes while do step automation for tune on d exact same notes
