- This video will shows you how you can setup the CCTV cameras so that it can detect motion in the view range of the camera, and instantly send snap shots of the motion activities to your email address.
This video shows you how you can carry out the Camera Device settings to be able to detect motion.
This video also explains the various parameters that need to be configured to have a successful ability to be able to send email alerts whenever motion is detected by the camera.
This video talks about the SMTP Server settings and how to input the various details.
There has been a vivid process of how to setup the Sender email and generate the app password that is recognized by the email service provider to get the email account secured for sending the email Alerts.
The video shows two methods of configuring IP CCTV Cameras to be able to send Email alerts when motion is detected. The first method extensively discussed is the use of the VMS and the second method is the use of an NVR.

This was so helpful since Google has removed the setting called “turn on access to less secure apps” in 2022. Since then I’ve been searching how to set email alerts as by default access to less secure apps on any gmail account is off. Thanks a ton.

Email setup for these things are basically the same. However, with my Ctronics 4G camera it adds some choice parameters - 'shipping' and 'theme' (lost in Chinese translation). Not surprisingly "Test failed", though all important values are correct.
I dont have much idea about your camera model.
Lets say I don't have poe switch.Can I use a Nonpoe camera into a router and watch view on Laptop with VMS software? Or it'll only work with poe cam ?
You can but you then have to provide power to your cameras using another power supply. I will do a short video on this for you

The sender's address here refers to the device, in this case the NVR sending the pictures.
You should maintain the smtp server as given

It seems the Google Security interface was updated recently. To find 'App passwords' I had to go to Security > 2-Step Verification > App passwords (scroll all the way down)

Pls why is the smtp port 465 and not the default 25? And encryption you chose SSL and not the latter?
All ports are used for specific purposes and so 465 does well for email

There should be alarm setup based on which the system will send an alarm to the recipient.

I have 2 Hikvision cameras DS cd2087 and 1 Asecam PTZ camera model NL4RN-A80S18PY but they all works. I just want receive an email when the camera dedects something and i followed your well explained instruction video .
The problem is that when I am going in my google account , go to security, then put on two steps verification , after that I want to find " App paswords" to fill in , I cannot find it even If I scroll till the end of the google secure page
