Old school is always cool. There is a gentleman back in my home town who bought a Tonka wood splitter back in the 50's and his grandson still runs it today. Used to love to watch it work.
Good video John. If all you had was the Lickity Splitter, I am sure you would be able to make it adapt to your system (elevated platform, table, etc.). Honey Locust in the Midwest has more of a scaly bark but grows really fast, dense and burns hot and long. Great heating wood.
I hope you do a video on the lickady split on the mechanism of the machine, I'm looking to get speed on my splitter on the return stroke thanks for an interesting video.
JohnYou need to raise splitter up to waist height with a table on both sides of the wedge. A piece channel iron on the pusher block will be easier than moving wedge.
ANOTHER GREAT SHOW, MR. CLARK THE LICKITY IS OK, NOT GOOD FOR THE BACK BEING SO LOW. LIKE YOU SAID THE HEIGHT IS SO IMPORTANT TO A SPLIT SESSION FOR REDUCING FATIGUE ON YOUR BACK. NICE TO HAVE IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS, BUT OLD SPLITY DOES A MUCH BETTER JOB FOR BEING USER FRIENDLY. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, STAY COOL!
Hi John. Both wood splitters do a " lickety split" job! 😂😂😂😆😆😆😁😁😁 The " taller one" is a" back saver." The "lower one" is a " back breaker." I ❤ your taller one the best. ( My future wood splitter design." 🥰😊😉👍 I'm sold w/ the taller design.) Work smarter. Not harder. I thought that wood was already to burn. Your can hear the " dry cracking" of the split wood. You can hear dry vs wet wood. I was shocked! 😲😲😲😳😳😳🤔🤔🤔 1980 manual!? I thought it was a " older antique " model? Huh!? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 The doors are easier on the side by side machine than the skid loader. The side by side must have great lifting power? To handle solid oak firewood logs? My first time seeing your side by side's muscle power. 🥰😊😉👍Have a good Saturday night the 27th John. 🥰😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🪵
i can not figure out why you do not quarter all your firewood logs first on the sawmill and then to the length and let it dry for a few weeks or months i have done pale any of the wood i cut goes into a larger pile fall i have a miner hocket groups come out and stack wood then on the town has been built i wonder when the federal government will lessen the burnt timber they made a big mistake anyway companies did have equipment there at the park gates the jerk did not allow the heavy equipment into the park for 10 hours by the time it was in the town then i have landed there i am a mile east of that
hi there been a while , hows it going , i would not began to think of all the work to put them on the sawmill . have you seen the upside down splitter that goes onto the bobcat , but as long as they roll the sooner you get them on the fast splitter table it is the best way , good to see you again john
hi there well i guess you see more than i do in the backround . the world has been changing long before man took it over . man may be speeding things you though , thanks for stopping in john
