  • In this video I show you how to change the fuel filter in a 2013 Mercedes Benz GL350 Bluetec model, featured with the 3.0L Turbocharged Diesel Engine (OM642). This car is an X166 Chassis, and the process is exactly the same for vehicles optioned with this same engine in the W166, and is similar in 3.0 diesel Mercedes with different variants of the OM642 (X/W164, W212, etc.)

    MAF Sensor to Air Filter Seal : Mercedes-Benz Original A 642 094 02 80
    Charge Pipe O-Ring : Mercedes-Benz Original A 014 997 64 45
    Seal Between Turbo and MAF Sensor : Mercedes-Benz Original A 642 094 01 80
    Engine Air Filters : Mercedes-Benz Original A 642 094 00 00

    Awesome video mate. Used this to change my fuel filter. Pain in the butt to do as Mercedes over engineer everything!
    But very satisfying to do the job myself and save tons on labour!😊

    Hello good vedio .. I followed your instructions well I think? however upon starting the car the engine not only ran very rough ,, but engine lite came on? any advice please .. thank you ..

      Make sure there is no boost leak anywhere and to change all the seals that you open. Scan the computer for the codes but most likely it is a boost leak which may cause your EGR system to clog up resulting in check engine light
