But it would be really cool if they did use the song in some capacity in S3 with Hakari, but i wrote the comment originally because i just can't see them doing that, probably because they don't see the same kind of foreign music as hype that we see as hype. I was right about the cultural differences lol.

I think the gambling fever is part of the key to strength in the JJK verse. Desperate risks over accepting your fate always seem to be rewarded somehow overwriting what is thought possible, even within the logic of the universe, and we see it consistently right from the first episode.

One nitpick at the end
The odd number rolls do not guarantee time reduction, they make it more likely. The key word in that bit is the fact that it says *usually*. Not always. Meaning there's still a small chance that even if he lands an odd numbered jackpot, he can get sent to time reduction mode instead of increased probability.

Ancient rule domain types are kinda fire. I assume anti domain techniques are useless since the sure hits are harmless. Especially for Hakari which doesn't even enforce a rule on the opponent but instead insta-explains the rules which is required for activation of such domain types. A masterclass by Gege. Next thing you know JJK references in other animes like Jojo's.
Simple Domain and Hollow Wicker Basket is useful since you're excluding the area of Hakari's barrier, but Falling Blossom Emotion isn't because it's an intangible effect like Unlimited Void
I believe the information dump also acts as a binding vow, giving away how his domain works in order to boost his chances or cause the domain to be stronger.

Instead of them being a 1x3 row of portraits it's now a 3x3 grid meaning he can generate 3 different Reaches at the same time and potentially net Hakari three Concurrent "Stacks" of Jackpots

Honestly wouldn't suprise me. Could also be a combination of that and that the domain is "technically" harmless in the same way Sukuna's domain can be escaped.
Sukuna's domain has its range increased to an insane 200m as a result of a vow that lets people just exit his domain without any issue or penalty- Hakari's has only one sure-hit effect and all that it does is tell you how his domain works. So it might be a combo of revealing your technique + having a smaller and less harmful domain
@@KenanTheFab Sukuna's vow for increasing his DE's range doesn't make sense, since he's seen again using it against Gojo and its a lot smaller. All "Open DEs" have an escape route: they don't capture. Gege should've gave a different reason back then.
As for Jackpot, Hakari didn't create his DE, it simply came "as a package deal" with his CT (Chp. 228). So, no, it's not based on revealing one's hand, since "Non harmful/lethal" DEs have to get explained (Chp. 164) to activate fully.

I feel like Gege could have made the explanation much simpler and left out the more gritty details for an expanded manual or guide, because in terms of story, half of the shown explanation isn't needed to understand the fight.
He expands his domain, which is luck based, and plays with it until he gets a jackpot (super power up) or loses the fight. The rest is either unneeded or just cool extra detail.
I think the annoyingly long explanation is part of what makes the technique so strong.

No, just unlimited CE. But unlike Yuta who's said to have boundless CE reserves, Hakari gains ACTUAL unlimited CE. There's so much powering him that RCT just naturally occurs if he takes damage. It's not clear, but Hakari may not even be able to consciously use RCT. And his damage increase is just due to the level of reinforcement he can imbue himself with due to unlimited CE reserves

"Increased probability" is "Probability Change," and that's Normal Mode, but with 75% probability. It's still the same speed of rolling as Normal Mode.

The best way I can explain it is using an analogy
So think of it like this. Inside the domain a coin is flipped if it lands on tails nothing happens and it flips again and the process keeps repeating until either the user dies or it lands on heads now there are things to affect the chance but it all comes back to trying to get that positive outcome that being landing on heads

The slot machine also has 3 modes
1) normal mode
2)fast mode(the chance to get jackpot are the same as normal mode but the slot machine works faster)
3)lucky mode(speed is normal but the chance of getting jackpot are higher)
I still don’t fully understand (I also haven’t read the chapters, so I probably should). How does this actually play out? Like can he just spam a bunch of balls and doors? Does he need to get two of the same ball or door in a row? Is there something actually spinning, but the balls and doors just affect the odds of going to reach mode? I confused 🥴
His domain takes them to the "love train" train station, The scenario plays out where he "gambles" for a cutscene whilst fighting his opponet, during this time, Hakari is completely vulnerable and can be killed at any point. All his opponent sees is the station, cutscene, and bonuses added for probability, they're like background illusions. The balls and doors are part of those illusions, but every time he uses one against his opponent (interacts with the environment) it manifests as an actual object that can hurt his opponent, but probably not very much, doing so also "rolls" for cutscene. Once he hits the cutscene, it plays in the background while he tries to stalls his opponent, then once it finishes, he either hits jackpot or doesn't. If he hits jackpot, he's immortal and probably going to be go on the offense at that point and probably win. If he doesn't, he has to do the whole thing over except now he has less CE and still has to stall his opponent and will probably lose if they're strong. The end.

His technique is like Higuruma's. By that i mean that his domain comes instantly with his technique, Higuruma had to learn jujutsu in reverse since he could use DE instantly when he got his technique. Higuruma had to "dissect" the functions of his domain to learn the basics, and through that he managed to create his Gavel Cursed Tool. Hakari probably did the same, but with the doors and balls from his domain.

The gambling is the sacrifice or (more so) risk. He's not guaranteed anything, but a "Jackpot" after "Probability Change" if he matched Odd numbers (1,1,1-3,3,3-etc).
There are "if statements" surrounding his "Jackpot," mode.
- there's a chance he can miss matches starting from "Normal" mode.
- there's a chance he can miss "Probability Change" if he matches Even numbers.
- there's a chance he can miss "Time Reduction" if he matches Odd numbers.
- there's a chance he can miss "Jackpot" starting from "Time Reduction."
Out of the 3 abilities he can use during his DE, one is a gamble; "Pseudo Spins" is mostly a dud/loss without "Probability Change," thus he only uses it during that mode.
"Chance Up" probability is random...until & if future chapters explain more to them.
He really doesn't have control over his own DE.

No he his cursed energy replenishes once jackpot ends so he can do domain expansions continuously. It's why kashimo tried to take hakari hand at the end of the fight
I assume you mean that if Hakari expand his domain then tries and fails to get a jackpot before the domain ends, could he expand his domain again. The answer is no. The reason why he can repeatedly expand his domain is because of jackpot.
I should add that failing to get a jackpot won't end the domain. He can just keep trying, so this hypothetical scenario would only happen if someone forced his domain to collapse.
