Pretty interesting. Didn't know about the colours when I designed my branding, but it makes sense now why I decided on the 2 colours. Nice video. I will definitely keep this in mind when buying lighting.
Hayley! Im just getting into the whole lighting world because im trying to start a youtube channel. I'm still trying to figure out exactly which light I should get out of the amaran lineup (60 100 200/x/d), honestly its a bit overwhelming 😔. Im just trying to make youtube videos and stream on twitch, but some light tubes would definitely help! Thanks for the video!
Omg finally someone who really show how the light is in the room!! Thank you so much 🫶 I need lights for my dance videos and I was looking for ideas! Thank you for having the links too! 🌸
Hayley! I’ve been watching a ton of your videos and other peoples too to try and find a way to build up a business for my cousin and I doing training for veterans in the US! We’re looking at starting a UA-cam channel to expand beyond our TikTok and Instagram market and tips like these are making the strategy much more doable!!
One of the best lighting videos I’ve watched - thanks for all the small tips on filming with glasses - it really really helps! Keep ‘‘em coming please!!
hi, lila. need your expertise. i just ordered from online blue wallpapers for my wall. what led (tube) colors can i use for a blue wall? (to be placed either from both ends outside camera frame or under the monitors) thank you in advance.
Thanks for the tips. I figured some of them by myself with experience. But as well i believe UA-cam will make their adjustments after watching your video. Not necessarily in our favour.
Damn! Lila, this is one of the mos t engaging, informative, funny videos I've seen in a long time. Pure edutainment! It's more than a lesson about creating a great video space. It's a lesson on cinematography. Thank you.
I just started my channel 2 weeks ago and am starting to build my lighting setup. This video is beyond helpful! One additional question, can you do a video on how you would light a room that's well lit with natural light? ...asking for a friend.... 😅
Hayley! Thanks for your advice on lighting I also always think my face was not made for the Rembrandt triangle technik. Your video clarify a lot to me.
Thanks for the tips! I have one Amaran 60d daylight light and looking to add another, more powerful light. I'm thinking the 300c RGB would be a good one and add some versatility to my setup.
Haley this is amazing and helpful. Perfect timing as I’m getting started in my UA-cam journey. I am basically going to get one of everything you talked about. Looks so good!
Fun video, your background colors are also complementary colors based on the color wheel. So if you use any combination of complementary colors from the color wheel they those colors will go together very well also i.e. yellow and purple as just one other example. Thx for sharing your set up.
how low are you putting the key? I have a lantern, usually to my left but am experimenting... the overall light in my room is a little dark anyway, but I feel like the light can be a lot closer to me to my left. Considering a strip box so it can get closer, but might make for a strange catch light. Anyhow my key is pretty high up about 7 feet.
Do you have any videos on lenses? I know nothing about them and primarily just looking for something that would be good to mount on my desk for mostly talking head videos/live streaming
Great tipps! SO I bought the amaran 60 s and the light dome mini III but when it turn it on the honeycomb pattern shiens through and is on the wall. what am i Missing?
Thank you for all this great information - you delivered it exceptionally well, clear and to the point. I'm just getting into lighting setups and had my eye on Amaran/Apture but the number of products can feel a bit overwhelming. :) Thanks again for making things more clear! 👍
How you you light a garage/ work shop for welding and fabrication videos my over head lights are fo bright I fill the it looks really unnatural in the videos.
Hayley! thanks for the video. I've been trying to find ways to light a studio setting for massage & stretching content but been struggling with finding a space that works. My only light is an 18" ring light and it is so harsh. I'm always looking for tips.
I love watching how you make videos. Pretty soon you'll be able to tell Chatgpt to add dope closed captions to your videos. No more work there. A simple plug in.
My key light is a ring light 😅 ,but I want to make a nice background with lighting. Now I use sunset lamp, but I hate that there is my shadow, how can I fix that issue?

Thanks so much for the support!!
Thank you for this video, I have been trying to find a good set up and I really appreciate how well you broke it down!

Thank you!
Lila, the AMARAN mini SE looks so easy to close! Yay! I've struggled with a huge Gordox that I've just started using in a tiny room for videos.

Hayley! Minutes 4:15, good job with the acronyms! I couldn’t make it with all of these models. PT2c, PT4c, T2c, T4c…we felt the struggle 😂
Hayley! I’m very intrigued to try out that tube lighting!
Hayley! I'm experimenting a lot with SFX and I cannot even imagine the possibilities :o Thanks for giving this chance eheh all the best!
I implemented this, and afterwards my wife exclaimed that I have a face for radio! 🫶🫶🫶Thanks Lila!
You typically listen to radio, not watch... Not sure it was a compliment or not ... Lol jkjk
He’s being sarcastic lol
😂😂
Your wife’s funny omg 😂
😂😂😂
Classy solutions. Thanks for the tip regarding Amaran 100d as Aputure are out of my budget for simple video productions.
Hayley!
My lighting hasn’t been the best and this would really help me in my UA-cam/TikTok journey. Crossing my fingers 🤞🏼

Great video as usual, just a missed opportunity with the PERFECT b-roll at 5:22 for using the tube as what it essentially is: a lightsaber!
Have the same small rig stativ, walimex and same Amaran 😅
Hayley!
Great video! Very Insightful! And the lights are really awesome! I am so excited to check out this set up for my UA-cam Channel :)
What are your camera settings, and are you color grading in post? I have the same camera and lighting setup, but I'm not getting the same results. 🤔
