Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Batch 23C is a 125.9 proof, unfiltered, and uncut bourbon whiskey that's aged for almost a decade. It has a bold character and flavors of chocolate, brown sugar, richness, and sweetness, as well as hints of cherries, cloves, and smokiness. Some say it's a full-bodied experience that epitomizes the brand's intensity and depth.

Eagle Rare Bourbon
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
Eagle Rare Bourbon Whiskey is masterfully crafted and carefully aged for no less than ten years. Every barrel is discriminately selected to offer consistent flavor but with a seemingly individual personality. Eagle Rare is a bourbon that lives up to its name with its lofty, distinctive taste experience.
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch
As founding father of the bourbon industry, Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. left an indelible legacy. His dedication to distilling began at the close of the Civil War when he purchased O.F C. Distillery. There, he developed innovative techniques that are still in use today. Made by hand, this Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey has been aged inside century old warehouses constructed by E.H. Taylor, Jr. Barrels are evaluated and selected to create a perfect blend of distinctive character that is like no other. This bourbon is a true sipping bourbon that honors the uncompromising legacy of E.H. Taylor, Jr.
BOURBON CREAM
Bourbon Cream is handcrafted using Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, making it a perfect marriage of rich delicious cream and smooth Kentucky bourbon.
You can enjoy it chilled, on the rocks, or pour it in a cup of coffee for an indulgent after dinner treat. Try the Buffalo Float- “the adult root beer float.”
OLD CHARTER
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
This 80 proof whiskey has a certain balance to it that’s hard to beat. With a full body and complex flavors, this bourbon is easily enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in your favorite cocktail. An all-around solid whiskey that any bourbon drinker can appreciate.
BUFFALO TRACE BOURBON
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
Ancient buffalo carved paths through the wilderness that led American pioneers and explorers to new frontiers. One such trail led to the banks of the Kentucky River where Buffalo Trace Distillery has been making bourbon whiskey the same way for more than 200 years. In tribute to the mighty buffalo and the rugged, independent spirit of the pioneers who followed them, we created our signature Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
TASTING NOTES
This deep amber whiskey has a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. Pleasantly sweet to the taste with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise. This whiskey finishes long and smooth with serious depth.

W.L. WELLER SPECIAL RESERVE
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
The Original Wheated Bourbon Whiskey features an exceptionally smooth taste, substituting wheat for rye grain. Bottled at 90 proof, this bourbon stands out with its burnt orange color. Its softer flavor notes make this bourbon great for sipping or making cocktails.

BLANTON'S SINGLE BARREL BOURBON
THE ORIGINAL SINGLE BARREL BOURBON WHISKEY
In the winter of 1881, Albert Bacon Blanton was born into one of the first families of bourbon history. At the age of sixteen, he started work in the Distillery as an office boy and fast became a leading pioneer in the development of bourbon. From the time he was made company president in 1921 until his retirement in 1952, his Distillery expanded from 44 to 144 buildings to become the largest Distillery of its day. During that period Colonel Blanton created his very special and limited supply of bourbon - his private reserve - handpicked and stored in what now is known as the famous Warehouse H. Although Colonel Blanton died in the spring of 1959, his legacy lives. Introduced in 1984, Blanton’s namesake bourbon was the first ever Single Barrel Bourbon sold commercially. The Single Barrel Bourbon is the first of its kind.
For a bourbon/scotch drinker who is asking for rum i recommend Real McCoy, and Foursquare distillery. Both brands focus on zero sugar, uncut, unfiltered, aged in whiskey or/and bourbon barrels.
Nice. I will look for it
@@MajorXero If you have a Total Wine near you then they probably have Doorly's which is also made by Foursquare and similar to the Real McCoy. Usually stores carry one or the other.
@guppygb6078 sadly 4 hours away at least
I need that 1.75L Eagle Rare! We don’t get the handles here in Ohio. I see the big boys on your videos quite a bit, wondering how long those sit on the shelves? Is it worth it to try and make road trip down this weekend?
I think you could make it for sure, but I would always call to make sure. Some stores would let you pay and hold it for you
For rum I hear diplomatico is very good. Get the green bottle. It’s Venezuelan rum. For Barrell look for the new foundation. It is the first non cast strength offering. It was the first bottle I have sampled then bought the bottle there that day.
Yeah, Rum is a little down the totem pole for me. I might try to find a store pick
For beginners Diplomatico might be ok but too sweet for me. If you want a complex amazing rum look for Hampden 8 years or other Hampden rums.
@user-mg6bk2yy1g I don't have a ton of experience with rum. In my younger days, I would have terrible hangovers with it. I need to revisit somw
Hello from Hawaii, I'm surprised to see Koloa rum all the way out there! Apparently the coffee Koloa rum is great, I personally don't like rum, but it's hard to find on shelves here and I live a few miles away from the brewery. So if you find it I guess it's something to try.
Awesome! How is the hunting in Hawaii??
Thanks for the shoutout! Sippin on Sips is definitely what we should’ve gone with😂.
Cheers🥃!!!
I am a moron, especially when I am looking through the camera. I will make it up in the next video
@@MajorXero haha that’s not necessary!🤣 appreciate you
What’s going on with Barrel? Are they for sale?
Yes and they laid off a bunch of staff
Gotta pick up the Appleton Estate 12. It wont disappoint. Diplomatico Reserva is also very good but has lots of added sugar.
I agree Shank'ys whip is amazing really good after dinner drink over ice!
Try that @ShankysWhip over ice cream
Hey Adam! Hope you find that dunker soon~ 😂
Thanks for the video!
It will happen
Great hunt! When you do a “live” how about showing us the bar? I’d like to see the progress you’ve made so far.
Oh I will do that for sure
I need to take a trip down south, I’m dying to get my hands on some of these bottles for reasonable prices. That Eagle rare 1.75 and eh Taylor would be gone with me in a minute.
Yeah we are pretty lucky here
Don't sleep on that Bernheim BP - had the A223 & went back the next day to grab a few more. Really enjoyed it.
This is the one I really thought about it
I love the Middle West Dark Pumpernickel Rye, I picked up a bottle of the Straight Wheat 2 weeks ago; but I've not opened it yet. I also got a Green River in the same haul.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the Straight Wheat
@@MajorXero I'm heading back home to Oklahoma today. I've been in Texas for a few days. I think I'll crack it tonight...more to follow 🥃🥃
Awesome, be careful. The weather is nuts out there
@MajorXero So the bad stuff is East of me, I'm just S of Tulsa.
The Middle West Straight Wheat is good. It has an aroma of a sherry or port finish. It has a cherry & chocolate note on the palate with a fast warm semi spicy finish. Very soft and semi sweet. Almost finishes like a good rye.
@mistermom310 we are about to get the bad stuff
You might need to have it special ordered but Kasama rum is absolutely delicious. It’s only 80 proof and made in the Philippines the original way with sugar cane
Sadly we can't really special order here. No delivery in Tennessee
Another great hunt! What is your favorite rye?
That Angel's envy rum cask is pretty good
@@MajorXero I need to try that so I can see what you count as not minty. I don't really get a lot of mint on ryes but my palate may pick it up as something else.
I got honey with the sample. I tried
That American hero Edition Evan Williams is Excellent! Everyone absolutely should grab a bottle, very hard to beat for the price.
Especially that big handle
@@MajorXero Totally, gotta go find me one.
Where are you located?
@@MajorXeroKing county Wa
Nice
the jury is very well done if you like madera in particular
I thinknI have a sample of that
Great hunt 🍻🍻
Thanks brother
Also Folsom Wine and spirits is a good store and Bros liquor in Davis CA,they are not too far from Oakland
Nice I will check them out
I don’t think this is in California
I have never understood the hate for Willet…. It’s a butterscotch bomb, delicious
It would be great if it wasn't for its terrible taste
I have the High N’ Wicked 15 Year The Jury. It is fantastic and I have a sample of it for you that will be hand delivered tomorrow. 🥃
Can't wait till tomorrow
Hey Major , I knew a girl in High School that was like Dollar Store Toilet Paper, Rough Tough and Didn't Take shit off of nobody.... I really like the Buffalo Trace Bourbon Creme , Had it in coffee, Had it in crushed ice with root beer and of course in a shot glass and I also hear its good on Ice Cream.... Thanks
I had a little at the Buffalo Trace tour and mixed it with the their Root beer and it was good. You Shanky's over ice cream so good
The Bourbon Cream is Great in Coffee!
For Rum, be on the lookout for the Pilar Store picks!
We rarely see rum store picks here. Never seen a Pilar store pick
@@MajorXero I know of one at least one in Nashville. If interested, I know the Turks would haul one back.
@travisrobeson306 probably put in some of their coffee
Goslings black seal is my go to rum
Was that in the video?
Mount Gay Rum!
Oakland, CA?
Tennessee, didn't know there was one in CA
Cheers!
Cheers
1783 E.W. alot of juice for the money 😋🤫👍🥃
It's probably the best bang for the price
Flor de Caña Rum!!!! Try to get the 12 yr!!!!
I will have to look for it
This ain't Oakland, California because the store would be ransacked.
Is that common in liquor stores?
RL Seales Rum is aged and very good!! Cheers
Thanks for the recommendation
Barrell is up for sale?
Yep and they laid off a bunch of their staff
@@MajorXerooh wow, hate to hear that!
Yeah no one knows what is going on
Yeah, you better get the real McCoy if you want rum you better get The real McCoy
Nice, I will check it out
Hemmingway rum!!!
I have their rye and it is a bit minty
Fixing the price tags 😂
I have a merchandising background before this and do it without even thinking about it 🤣
@@MajorXero you did it without skipping a beat in your conversation 😊
@iLeeZy I may have a problem
I noticed that immediately. I do the same in stores and it's just habit from a prior job with "facing" products to make the store look clean and organized. I giggle when I see others do it and I try to make eye contact with them and wink 😉 just to hint that they are not alone!
I didn't even notice that I was doing it until someone said something. I might have a little mental illness going on
Pilar rum for sure
I have seen three different types. Do you have a favorite?
@@MajorXero sherry finished but haven’t tried legacy
Thanks!
Definitely not Oakland CA

CreekWater is YelaWolf’s Brand
I will have to google that
Do a live of jokes
I am pretty sure I am the only who thinks I am funny
Old soul a bit too leathery for me
I haven't had any yet. But I do like a leathery note.
Why do you care about the Basil Hayden label? If you don’t like the Willett just go past it. Stop!! It’s old.
There are two camps, those who love it and those who hate when I do it. 99% of what I do I do for pacing to make sure I don't go too fast or two slow. So when I hit certain spots I stop and pause. Really it has become a thing of its own and I will probably never stop. Thanks for the feedback and I will try to find other places to pause
Why do you care what another man does in his videos ? This is a great hunt
