W.L. WELLER ANTIQUE
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
A wheated bourbon with a full-bodied flavor and a balanced palate. Old Weller Antique is bottled at 107 proof, offering a complex taste and bold finish. It’s certainly a recognizable member of the Weller label, with its own unique characteristics to compliment the high proof.
W.L. WELLER 12 YEAR
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
As part of the wheated bourbon family, this twelve year old W.L. Weller is aged far longer than most wheated bourbons. This offering is a smooth, easy-going and balanced bourbon with a beautiful deep bronze color.
WILLIAM LARUE WELLER
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
Uncut and unfiltered, this hand-bottled bourbon is barrel proof. Weller substitutes wheat for the traditional rye grain, a production method pioneered by W.L. Weller.
BUFFALO TRACE BOURBON
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
Ancient buffalo carved paths through the wilderness that led American pioneers and explorers to new frontiers. One such trail led to the banks of the Kentucky River where Buffalo Trace Distillery has been making bourbon whiskey the same way for more than 200 years. In tribute to the mighty buffalo and the rugged, independent spirit of the pioneers who followed them, we created our signature Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
TASTING NOTES
This deep amber whiskey has a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. Pleasantly sweet to the taste with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise. This whiskey finishes long and smooth with serious depth.
EAGLE RARE
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
Eagle Rare Bourbon Whiskey is masterfully crafted and carefully aged for no less than ten years. Every barrel is discriminately selected to offer consistent flavor but with a seemingly individual personality. Eagle Rare is a bourbon that lives up to its name with its lofty, distinctive taste experience.
Rock Hill Farms is a single barrel bourbon whiskey produced by the Sazerac Company in Frankfort, Kentucky. It's made from a mash bill of corn, malted barley, and more rye than usual, giving it a sweet taste with notes of toasted nuts, fruit, chocolate, and marshmallow.
Rock Hill Farms is named after a stretch of land along the Kentucky River, where the limestone waters nourish the land and give it a distinct flavor. It has a similar mashbill to Blantons and Elmer T. Lee, and is released in limited quantities in most markets.
#sazerac
Some say Rock Hill Farms has seductive aromatic notes of toasted walnut, dried red fruits, marzipan, black pepper, spices, cocoa, and marshmallow. Others say it has flavors of dark chocolate, chocolate covered almond, and coffee

That is a cool store. Like the Dega pack. Cheers brother.
Yeah I had to get it!
I’m just jealous of the prices there.
Funny, some people are outraged, and others are jealous
@@MajorXero Buffalo trace here is $40 eagle rare is $80, weller reserve $70
Where is here?
Was able to pick up Weller Full Proof for $55 and 107 for $69 both store picks in Austin last week
Amazing, not around here
Which store in Austin? I'll be there Wednesday and would love to find some good stuff
Would love to know too
$52 for blantons, he’ll yeah 🎉, there charging $160 in NYC
Short car ride away!
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos especially living in MS. They have given me the opportunity to pick up some really nice bottles at the various stores you have visited. Elmer T., Antique 107, Eagle Rare, E.H. Taylor to name a few. Thanks again!
Awesome, do me a favor. If you go in a store, tell them you saw my videos it really helps for me to get to go back! Thank you for commenting
Absolutely, I always tell them I seen your video and that's why I'm here. I go to Whiskey Business regularly even though it's over an hour to get there. I've gone to Whiskers, the Yellow Store, Charlie's, Corks and the Stellar Cellar. Hopefully we can meet sometime :)
@pickngrass2651 sure come in the discord and we can hunt on the weekends some time
first time i ever seen this guy buy a bottle
It happens all the time. You have to imagine I basically hunt every day I can't afford to buy a bottle every time I go into a shore. And I am not sure why people need to physically see me buy a bottle. I am here for the hunt
Great video. thanks for shout out, it was a great time the other night. Lot's of goodness in that store. thanks for sharing. congrats and getting super close to that 3100 subs. cheers
Man, I had so much fun you should be doing them more often. I will just watch next. I hurt way too much the next day
@@MajorXero glad you did. I did too. Sorry about the long drive for your giveaway. lol cheers bud
Didn't catch it live. Glad you didn't forget the Canadian section.
How could I ever forget America's Hat!
Oh wow, they have a drive-up window! I've had the Rabbit Hole but can't remember which. It was my sister-in-law's bottle (she loves the stuff) I think the sherry cask finished version. It was quite sweet and rather tasty.
I might have to try and find a pour of that 🤔
Tanner is looking for that Lucky Seven Proprietors 14 Year. It is good. I keep saying that OH Ingram River Aged Blue Label is fantastic. 🥃
Pretty good selection, including prices on SOME of the allocated bottles. First and foremost, we absolutely love, love, LOVE the Blue Note Juke Joint Uncut Unfiltered. It isn't distributed in our state but we picked up a bottle in CO over the summer. I'll be sad to see it go soon. If I had found those at your store, I would have picked up at least 2 of them. The Frank August small batch is a real winner and very unique. We are going to pick up a Holladay Soft Red Wheat BiB whenever we see it next. The regular BiB is tasty! I don't see the JD Distillery Series around here either, which is too bad. I've had a couple of those and really like them. Last year a chain around us had the Old Tub and Legent (different months) for $10 per bottle with no limit. We used the Old Flub as drain-o and the Legent is pretty darn good! I think you missed the boat on that Heaven's Door gift set. If you haven't tasted any Whistle Pig before, the gift set is the way to go. That way, you won't have wasted "too much" of your money (IMO). Thanks for sharing! Good store!!!!!
Hey I just subscribed to your channel! You guys should join our discord! Thanks for the detailed message. I would love to hear what you have to say about the Holladay Soft Red Wheat! Thanks
Yo I’m subbed that was a cool video. Watching on a Monday morning and drinking the last of it. lol back to work
Back to work? I need your job!
Ben Holiday Soft Red Wheat is a great bottle.
Ar that price it will wait a couple of months
Love these videos! I’m in northern Kentucky and it’s nice/interesting to see what stuff other parts of the country has
I was in Northern KY and I was surprised by how little you guys have. I thought you would have everything!
@@MajorXero you’d think haha there’s a lot but it’s all either point systems or you need to know somebody if you wanna get something good at retail
@thomasmichael6509 even here you just about have to know someone. I am planning a couple of trips this year to Kentucky you will have to point me in the right places to hunt
@@MajorXero absolutely!
The soft red wheat from Ben halladay to me tastes like a Weller SR with 10 more proof points, I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the rickhouse proof. Going to compare it to my Weller full proof
I have heard it competes with the 107
I wish I could find Eagle Rare or Weller products ever. I get Buffalo Trace for about 20USD, that's the only cool thing about Canada.
ah there are lots of cool things about Canada, I can't wait to visit Letterkenny
Where is EH or Eagle Rare on the shelves regularly near Collierville? Covingtons not too far, just curious if you have a closer go to spot. Or any places in Olive Branch MS?
Got my brother that Whistle Pig three pack and he loved the 12 year!
Also, thanks for the videos and if people have any criticisms, let them start their own channel and upload content!
Gross, double gross, and never trust a bottle that needs a belt!!!!
Thanks brother!!!
what your calling the Willett purple top is wheated its not the one everyone wants . .. They want the Willett clear bottle purple top .
White label?
The top is purple but it’s not “The Purple Top”
You called me out first! I laughed when I said it. Sorry it was a troll. 🧌
That ER+W107+W12 basket is actually $0.02 cheaper if you buy separately 😬😅
Shhhhhh
Told my wife the basil hadin belt comment and she spat her Costco sample out laughing
Glad someone thinks I am funny!! she is a keeper
I would be bankrupt if I lived there. 😂
Where are you located?
Nice bottles!
You don't have them where you are?
@MajorXero Im in GA, and we have Eagle rare, but it's much harder to find the rest and at a higher price when I do find them. Definitely will check out some stores in TN when I travel there.
We have just a couple of stores that have Eagle rare consistently I need to get to GA
$99 blantons is reasonable, other channels say $150.
YeH that is standard here
Coopers Craft is damn good at the price point. $32 here in Ohio. Love the videos! Cheers.
I agree! Anything else in that price point you recommend?
What’s the one bottle you would get if you could afford it ? Just was wondering lol
Mine would be pappy van winkle
So that is a great question. First I go into a store just about every day and it isn't economically possible for me to buy something so my cfo said 50 a monthish so that is why I am limited. With that being said, if I could have anything it would be a higher end Macallan like a 15, 18, or dare I say 25. But a normal 80 to 100 dollar bottle. I would like to get that Markers Mark store pick or one of the Bookers or a Kentucky Owl. I would like to get that 1792 BIB. I really would like the Russell's 13 but it is too rare to get.
They have some good stuff today. IMO, the Blade and Bow is much better than the Castle and Key. The Ancient Age is a cheaper release from Buffalo Trace. The 90 proof version is pretty good. Congrats on 3000+ subscribers
Thanks so the Barton's or Ancient Age
@@MajorXero i actually like both, but prefer the Barton
@jamesstreet1144 cool
I need to go get and try that E.H Taylor
We have the small batch here pretty regularly, never see the single barrel or the rye
Single barrel beam is nice
Is it pea nutty like the rest
If you haven’t tried Maker’s Mark just get a small $10 bottle 200ml I think. Worth it. Maker’s was what got me into bourbon.
I have been thinking about getting a multipack so I can try a bunch
I picked up a store pick of the Penelope Toasted today - tasted it at the shop - was quite good!
Where? I have never seen a store pick for Penelope
@@MajorXero I'm in Maryland - I hadn't see one before either and after tasting was a no brainer pick up!
@erinodonovan5459 awesome! The toasted is the only one that I have heard that people consistently like
Wanting to try the AAA too, but hate to buy a handle, have not seen any smaller offerings, and rarely see the handle
Yeah would love to find a pour somewhere
💯
That store has some nice bottles , would love to get my hands on a Rock Hill Farms, Wanted to ask you when was the last time you saw a Early Times with the black top , I have those gray tops on my bar I mix with Coke Zero when iam in the mixing mood.
I have never seen one in the wild, I was gifted one but other than that not seen one
what i relized in his video : awesome bourbon selection with great price, Way over priced scotch, and poo poo selection of tequila. (except Lalo) well , i am glad to live in California.
Of course you are glad you live in California . I was out there last year at Christmas and I was oh I see why people live out here
The Ben holladay soft red wheat is very good. I think it’s better than the regular bottle in bond
What do you compare it too? Is it super sweet
ive been wanting to try that one. cheers
@@MajorXero Sweet but not overwhelming and really smooth. One of my favorite new discoveries in the last few months.
Same
Nice
Yeah, I didn’t like Broken Barrel. I got the 115 on the navy base.
In Millington?
@@MajorXero yep. That place can be hit or miss. You can occasionally find some interesting/rare-ish finds. Also, solid stuff like rare breed, at good prices.
@matthewfullen1 would love to film out there some day
@@MajorXero I can probably make that happen if you don’t have access yourself.
@matthewfullen1 not sure what the rules are.
Watch a Elmer T Lee bottle hit the ground this morning at a raffle drop lol it was a fun day overall
Did hit break and who's fault was it
@@MajorXero dude faults getting it ! Had to pay & was asked to leave maybe little tipsy possibly
Ouch was it msrp or was it higher?
@@MajorXero msrp
@Bourbonsouth47 well at least there is that
Are you gunna buy the 1924 when you see it? Even though we all know it’s going to be well over $50
I just heard it was 120 so I may have to save up a couple of months
Those bundles with the cork soaking into the whiskey is God awful
Is it the Cork or the bundle?
bundles were horrible IMO
Don't see many bundles right now, is it the price or combo?
Hey Major , were you still on Brewzle's Live stream last night when he blinded the bottle of Gross, I was sitting at my computer laughing .....
No I need to go back and watch that I was doing a podcast on another channel!
You didn't buy that EH Taylor , Eagle Rare and Blantons
I own all of them. Wanted to leave some for the other guys! You have trouble getting them where you are?
Where in Memphis area is this? Looks like I’ve got a few places to go when I visit my mother in spring. Antique 107 on shelf , I don’t see that in Oklahoma
Except the price on the 107 was ridiculous lol. I had to rewatch.
This is north of Memphis. Hit the subscribe button and click the like button and the address will be appear in the description 😀
@Okiefrommn 😀
@@MajorXero I do subscribe. But I’ll check. My mother lives by Covington in Mumford . Looks like that area .
@Okiefrommn It is! I was kidding
Thos prices r a joke
All or some?
Jesus their prices are disgusting.
Where are you located?
Cordova. Picked up a bottle of Weller 107 for $109 last week off the shelf. $199 is just insane@@MajorXero
where in Cordova?
Where is EH or Eagle Rare on the shelves regularly near Collierville? Covingtons not too far, just curious if you have a closer go to spot. Or any places in Olive Branch MS?
Covington is the only place that I know it is every time. I mean, It isn't that far, and you could eat at the Cellar while you are here. Buster's has pretty regularly, too.
