Mine is a 2012 Focus and still great experience to drive. Agreed on the after sales service from the authorized service centre are really bad. However, I have few reliable workshop with ‘know-how’ to maintain my car. Compared with the new honda civic, mine is still better and fun to drive. Mazda 3 is also great to drive but still not as fun and put a big smile on your face. Don’t easily criticize this car, just test drive it and you’ll agreed with my review here.
Had this car for almost a month now and I can tell you it’s brilliant. Handling is great it feels planted to the road land taking corners is like its on rails. Set the gear setting to S and feel it go when you floor the accelerator. Safety features are abundance with sensors all around. Only turn off is lack of GPS navigator.
I actually drive the sedan version of this and it's not as fun as the hatchback as the sedan comes with normal suspension instead of sport but its way more comfortable and has more space for a family. I've been using it for about 2 years and I have had no problems with it and it is really quiet and comfortable and fun to drive
Well I had a Ford Fiesta and moved to Jazz Hybrid. Ford cars are just amazing , it is fun to drive and it is a driver's car - you can vroom and it is stable. Since I moved to Jazz Hybrid , meh the ride has been pretty bad. One issue that plagued me was with the DCT on Fiesta and also to wait for spare parts and others. I thought Ford Sime Darby service was bad , but then Honda (Malaysia) is umm well let's say worst . Great cars , but taking care of it after warranty period is a bit of pain tho :D
Kenneth W i love most this f.focus is about stability n comfortablity espc long distance drivng.. n also its technolgy espc auto city stop(automtc brake system) n auto park assist... n not to forget sync 2 audio system.. really enjoy smart features in this car dude!
Let me share my tragic experience owning this car. It suffered an engine failure after only 1 and half years and less than 20k mileage. They said it could be due to a loose piston during engine assembly, can you believe it? I was not given any courtesy car and my car has been at the service centre since 18th September. Undoubtedly it is a wonderful car to drive but sadly the after sales service leaves a lot to be desired.
You should insist on a loaner car. Just as I did when mine got 'warded' for a defective gear selector. Car was out for 2 months. I think the Sales manager of the branch also had a huge help in assisting me with the loaner car. I got a Hyundai i10 - rental by Hertz - paid for by SDAC. Yea, an A-segment car but heyy.. it does the job and made me appreciate the Focus more when I got back the car! After sales service; I'd like to think that if you set your expectations accordingly, you're likely to be less frustrated. In any case, for me to handover the service booklet before I can go on my merry way takes a lot less time than if I were to drop by a Honda service center. #truelifeexprience Anyway, the only bummer with the facelift is the halogen lamp. Other than that, I don't think space is relevant if you opt for this car. It's quite silly to burn fuel carrying air as you don't end up using those 'space' ALL the time carrying passengers - so yea, a decently-priced nice-handling C segment hatchback which is more sleeper than sporty at less than RM100k (if you car to look for deals) is actually a steal!
They keep saying they do not have available courtesy cars; when I put in an official email to them insisting on it or else I will rent a car and claim from them, they just replied me bluntly that it is not their policy and slapped me with a clause from the warranty booklet that they are not responsible for any loss of usage, income blah blah blah. From a customer service point of perspective, they just do not show empathy and make the effort to regain my trust in the car and brand. I am the one who is always chasing for replies and updates and the typical reply from the customer service is that they will forward it to the service centre to contact me, so its like they are only the messenger without any obligation to obtain the relevant info from the service centre and reply their customers. Latest update, the parts of my engine will only arrive on the 15th of this month and installation work will only start on the 20th, so from 18/09 all this while my car has been at the service centre sitting there without anything done. I guess you can feel my pain and frustration for always being kept in the dark and my pride and joy being treated in such a way.
I own a Focus and got a misfire in cylinder 2. Check engine light turned on. The dealer tested it and they found that cylinder to have low compression. Will be waiting for them to fix it. The car is 1 year and 8 months old...
I'm planning to buy a car this year end. But I'm not sure ford still have this model. Been thinking to choose Ford focus or civic tc. Anybody can give some advise please?
GC Mah, I have to comment about your description on "how is it like to drive". Try to see how Bobby Ang from Evo Malaysia do car review. Learn how he passionately describe in detail about the driving experience. Stop saying cliche words like "it's the best in class to drive", "impressive power delivery". What do you mean by impressive? You said that in all your car reviews. It shows your lack of knowledge and experience on cars.
The most important thing about a car review is, to be able to give the viewers the experience as close as possible as the car's driver, without actually driving the car. Yes you can have any style you like but in my opinion, the more specific the explaination, the better, rather than just saying "impressive, good, etc". Rather than just saying the handling is "the best in class", maybe he can evaluate a bit more about how's the car balance during mid corner, it's composure as compared to its competitions such as Mazda 3 and so on. More information will help buyers to decide which car is better for them.
Faiz Zainudin u and I are on the same page. However, other viewers may not be. Have u heard of the difference between a general review and an in-depth review? This is what it is. Auto buzz only does general reviews for ppl looking for the latest cars(this includes non petrolheads). Bobby contributes to the petrolhead community. Besides, some ppl just a don't give a f*** about what the weightage of 'good' or 'impressive' is.
Faiz Zainudin and let me tell u this, there is no way u can feel the car without driving it. Trust me, u can look up the oxford dictionary and use bombastic words but unless your hands and legs are there, there is no way u will feel what the car truly is.
Yet another clearly biased paid review. Glossing over the shortcomings, but going beyond usual means to hype up the good parts. Come on Autobuzz, do you think your viewers won't notice?
I notice about sync 2 n sync 3 interchangeble between review. Beside that all quite true.. Part n aftersale no more issue. Any car that enter big market like china then its oem, vland n aftermarket can reach your doorstep with more lower price than any unless importer n middle man screw up price.
Actually this is really underrated car when compared to other c-segment cars in the market. Top notch driving experience too. Lovin it!
The only issues killing the Ford brand here in Malaysia is its poor Aftersales support.

Zaman Osman but at least, it comes with apple carplay and android auto... so i guess its not gonna be that matter... just my opinion
Do you still have it? How is the reliability of it?

I own this ford focus sport.. believe me its really fun to drive this car compared to civic 1.5 tc..
Fadhil Othman yea i heard of Fords are great cars to drive, how about owning one? Mind if you share some of your experience?

If i have a choice again. I would go for focus for sure
I test drove the focus. Its way better than civic and other C segments
heck i owned the mk3 N/A focus and even that drives better than civic. but the aftersales service really sucks big time

I wish the focus sport in Australia had front parking senses
I see gc mah
I press like
terima kasih!
The wheelbase and exterior sporty elements of this focus inspired 2018 myvi I think
These days Ford are making better cars . Keep it up Ford !
Great cars like this, Mondeo and Passat deserve better sales but the fucking after sales and reliability is killing them
I'm fairly sure you can have the transmission tuned to make it shift properly, or up the pressure.
Love this car for it's safety equipment and powertrain. But it's not big enough for my family.....
Still waiting for Focus RS to arrive in Msia
is it still fun if we want to purchase it now from used car dealership?
Great review! Just exactly what we want.

So, buy Preve/Suprima S better.. Wait for new updated Preve/Suprima S.. Better Turbo than this Ford Ecoboost

thanks
The best word he said more powerfull.more enjoyable. plus if buy used one this year.. more value for money is it?
Can we still buy new focus or no more in Malaysia
Should maybe talk about reliability and aftersales. That would be nice. Had a friend that owned a fiesta and he sold it after 2 1/2 years. Hmmmmmm
The ford focus is reliable. It uses conventional auto now
@@GreatGrandmasterWang starting from which year.. Because I m going to own a used 2016 model
Vijith Sreevalsam the facelifted model. The one in the video
I am just now deciding right now between 2015 focus 1.5 ecoboost vs Mazda 3 2.0 G120 . Someone has some points?
Is engine vibrating too much ?
Hey GC! Im just wondering, what car do you personally drive after there's so many cars you reviewed?

New model no longer available here
Unfortunately, in Indonesia we can't buy it for the new one. Ford doesn't exist anymore here.
Ford uses blue needles because blue keeps the driver awake.
What a bargain for RM140k you cant even buy any new car in singapore as the cheapest car in singapore cost at least RM220K
I like,...the ford focus,... it's turbocharger engine,... Toyota doesn't have it.

Faiz Zainudin it's his style bro. Bobby also has his own style. Ppl used to ask bobby to do it like GC as well but he politely declined.
Faiz Zainudin plus, have u seen how long he has reviewed cars?

Drove this. Good handling car. But the steering is numb. Does not feel anything.
Exactly...it eps n handling chateristic. If not used to very light force feedback..will feel weird.. especially taking corner

Nothing special. Cheap looking.
This guy doesn't even know how to review a car. Talking nonsense, nothing manly about the meter cluster.
Nazren Idris Yet you still wouldn’t be able to afford it
Well said. Could you show us how to review a car properly? I can't wait to see your video. Come on come on...
Kutuk je pandai
Nazren Idris "nothing manly"? Why? The colour shifting, dancing anywhere lcd cluster is manly?
Did u watch the other reviews hosted by the same host, who did reviews for the past few years too?
