    I absolutely love your channel. I had always wanted to learn to crochet, but, I couldn't see what people were doing with their hooks to get it correct. Then at the ripe old age of 62 I happened upon your channel. Man, crocheting is so much fun. And the compliments I get are amazing. You made it fun to learn and best of all actually see what you were doing. Thank you so very much for the patience you show. You truely love what you are doing and it shows. So once again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    You know Robin, I subscribed to your channel about 1 year ago, when life gave me death of loved ones. Your style, technique, and authentic talk, carried me through a lot. I look forward to viewing many more videos and learning more from you. You have serious talent and so happy you are sharing it. How wonderful to see you back. While you were taking a break I changed my address, I'm still Mzrj Clinton, but my husband's name is not attached to my address. Your encouragement has meant so very much to me, so I started a new hobby. Watercolor painting. I have had enough time to dabble in it to know that it is exciting and motivating and in just the right time, because I have I need to put down my crochet hook for a while. I broke my right arm and cannot hold a hook. Just for 6 weeks. Good to see you back love, your new project, can't wait to try it.

      I didn't really explain it too well in this video but the chainless foundation stitches are a real game changer! You can do it for all the stitches from single crochet upwards! It's quite a stretchy base which is perfect for projects like this 😀🧶

    Just made it! Super easy and super cute! I was attracted to the beautiful yarn colors and the flowers on each end ❤I didn't have a scale to weigh the yarn, but I crocheted about 100 rows of DC and it seemed long enough and I knew the skein was getting low, but I did the ending flowers and it worked out perfect!! Wearing it to Bible study this morning with the 30 degree temp 🙂

    I have been crocheting for many years and have never run across a pattern like this with a "foundation" type chain for the first row. (I usually just crochet baby blankets or lap rugs and the occasional hat). This is just so cool that I'm going to try this for my next project! I looks so much more stable and uniform! So glad I ran across your channel!

    • @ArDeeMee
      @ArDeeMee 2 роки тому

      Foundation rows are such a hassle to make that I never bother for sc or hdc. For dc, however, a foundation row can make an immense difference! Especially for wearables. So I‘ve made 200+ foundation dc, and it wasn‘t fun, but the end result was so much nicer and more flexible than a simple chain starter.
      Always make sure to keep the „base“ chains of a foundation row a bit looser, since it‘s so easy to pull it tight. You really don‘t want to have to start over. ^^

    Thank you for the pattern. I made this with a black n white vegetated wool and made the borders in black...looks pretty good.😊❤
