IKR. Very rare we see that happen. On another note that's the one thing about being the Soviets in Single Player. Without Mammoth Tanks they've nothing to stop Aerial attacks on the way to an enemy base.
I recall back then I was really annoyed at the mission not ending when I thought I destroyed everything and then having to find those camouflage pillboxes.
Ok I was wondering why I’ve spent hours on This mission searching. the entire map is on radar much more than what his map shows. Nothing is left but their must be some camo pillboxes around.
That's a good run, much quicker than my relaxed efforts but I don't like to suffer casualties! One of my pet hates is using groups of submarines, they always start torpedoing each other, and there's always one with a special needs captain who insists on torpedoing a destroyer from a range of 6 inches.
Glad I'm not the only one who suffers from this... Best way I've found to use them is have 1 sub as a "spotter" and then use 3 at max range all in a seperate "square" next to each other, so they have a clear shot ahead.
Subs actually have really long range, but they never feel like using it. The enemy ships also love moving around erratically, making you miss your shots.
@@StuGames Yeah I remark some units do in-fact have a decent range but tend to needlessly close the gap. Medium Tanks outrange Flame towers but of course the things insist on getting within range. Then there's the artillery pieces in C&C, they can actually marginally outrange GDI advanced guard towers but they need to be positioned by the player before being ordered to fire or else they'll just get closer than needed likely being destroyed as a result. The artillery certainly won't win when the tower starts on them.
@@Damocles178 this is why tank rushes are usually a go to, the path finding is terrible causing units that can outrange defenses to rush in and kamikaze themselves. V2 rockets do it all too often as well
Fun fact I destroyed one of the bridges on the other mission and didn’t realize there was no enemy’s over there so I had to use transport to move my ore collectors back and forth to get more money
Fortunately not, only mission 14 does. Although mission 13A is bugged in the original and you do have to destroy everything despite the objective telling you otherwise.
@@StuGames I remember mission 13, it took me a while to figure out why I kept failing that mission. And this was before the internet was so readily available to all. You telling me that was a bug?
That's right, if you finish the objective you fail the mission, so you need to destroy everything instead. In 13B it works correctly. Not sure if they fixed this in Remastered yet!
@@StuGames It's lazy development to simply adjust health/damage for difficulty sliders. They should have made the AI more aggressive at hard difficulty.
Yeah that's the better way to do it, but with such an old game I can excuse it. For some reason they made it even harder in Remastered though, not sure why.
You know that the business is serious when Stu starts building Mammoth Tanks.

9:38 dat engineer standing on a D-day beach in the middle of 20 mammoths firing from all their cannons has nerves of steel.

Lol same :D
I just completed the mission in the original game today, wasted like 20 mins trying to find them when my crosshair suddenly turned red.
Ok I was wondering why I’ve spent hours on This mission searching. the entire map is on radar much more than what his map shows. Nothing is left but their must be some camo pillboxes around.
I'm so glad that with the remaster of this game, it's spawning new videos about all the level completions and speedruns. It's glorious.
This mission felt like an eternity. I've become accustomed to your previous 10-30 second victories.
The soviet campaign has some of the easiest and fastest missions, but also the longest and hardest ones! Balance in all things.
@@StuGames perfectly balanced, as all things should be
@@chengda85 Should is a strong word. Good and evil in balance?

Haha, so true !!!
Would love to see a speed run of the ant missions as well!
0:58 I'm glad you agree.
dayum that shit is off the chart lol

This game's campaign is much harder to beat in hard dif. for regular players than other games... I am still stuck in previous missions.
In Soviet Russia, "Stu" play Red Alert game to celebrate Victory day!😄
11A is significantly easier, since you can block off the cruisers due to map design.
This saves a lot of hurrying around I found.
Soldiers and tanks against ships...
I've considered using a tesla tower, but it turns out rifle infantry are very cost effective against ships :)
0:06 lol the soviets have invaded Connaught from the west

Will you make a video walk through about an alternative choice at the beginning ?
maybe when I've done all of the missions I'll look at the alternatives, but usually they are very similar so it's not that interesting!
cant find the last pillbox wtf
Oh man I loved red alert, what platform is this on?
Steam and Origin!
Why do you sell the tech lab after you make it?
Unlocks mamouths then sell it for ca$h
you keep the technology even if you sell it
Hard difficulty looks very imbalanced. The pillboxes are almost beating the mammoth tanks.
