The first part of my Evolution of Pokémon Moves series. As you can imagine, every type will get a separate video (except for Fairy and the ??? type). Only the main games are on the list, the videos would be too long otherwise. I mean, the Normal type video already consists of 799 different recordings. Anyway, enjoy the video :) - Roddy
I love the animations used in Gen 6. Spacial Rend and Roar of Time actually look as if they were wrecking reality, but Draco Meteor looks like a rain of giant cereal to me. I loved Gen 4 Draco Meteor
You woke up a lot of memories with the 3rd gen dragon damce animation...i will never forget the first time i dragon danced with my salamence in the local tournament...my friends thought i was a god or something cause we were 13years old and we didnt know about breeding strategies etch...but the best part was at the final when i koed the opponent groudon with hydro pump..i still use the same mence from my ruby with the same moves(dd,hydro pump,dr claw and fly) even if i know its not very good moveset with the new m.evolve..anyway i like it and that is what matters!
bill bill I remember I breeded to get Hydro Pump on my salamence back in Sapphire and I felt so bad ass lmao. Now I know that it's quite a terrible move for salamence to have
Dragon Rage: Inflicts 40HP of damage. Twister: May cause flinching. Dragon Breath: May paralyze target. Outrage: User attacks for 2-3 turns, then becomes confused. Dragon Dance: Raises Attack & Speed. Dragon Claw: No additional effect. Dragon Pulse: No additional effect. Dragon Rush: May cause flinching. Spacial Rend: High critical-hit ratio. Draco Meteor: Each use lowers the user's Sp. Attack by 2. Roar of Time: User must rest 1 turn to recharge. Dual Chop: Hits 2 times. Dragon Tail: Forces the target to switch out.
Special Rend and Roar of Time are horrifying moves, if you think about it. All of space comes crashing down on one target, and you feel all of the pain ever felt throughout all time. Pokemon is pretty dark.
nah man, there's dragon rag.... dragon bre.... dragon pul.... draco meteor? no that's still close enough... seriously though, outrage, dual chop, and twister are the only ones. if you take away the d at the beginning it's just outrage and twister, unless I'm missing one, not counting legendary exclusive moves
Thank you, there were very few videos featuring the moves across generations. I would also suggest you make videos about the way they have been portrayed on the home consoles, since moves like Frenzy plant were BEAUTIFUL in pokemon Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness.
+Marc Stutsman That makes sense on the surface but the process of using Sketch to obtain every single move would take a very, very long time. Smeargle would have to battle Pokemon for each and every move in order to learn them. Plus Smeargle is a second-gen Pokemon so it wouldn't work for the first gen games.
I've noticed that you've neglected move animations from Stadium, Coloseum/XD and Battle Revolution in your videos. Even though these are side games, they nonetheless reflect the evolution of moves. You may want to add them.
+David Playz Gamez Rayquaza still gets STAB from it either way and thanks to it being a flying type move fairies don't resist it. It is rather odd that it is flying but it has it's uses.
its also the reason gyarados isnt water/dragon. if it was it would have no weakness because of there being no dragon moves dealing super effective damage
Ugh, they're so cool. I wish I could play Pokemon games like I used to. I only got to Generation III and no further because my brother got rid of all our Pokemon games all those years ago. But why can't the Pokemon run up to the opponent and attack like they did in Battle Revolution? That's what I liked.
Do Evolution of Pokemon Pokeball throwing animations (Split them up into parts for each generation) and plz include Trainers, Gym Leaders, Elite Four Members, and the player.
I've always thought Gen VI's Dragon Pulse animation has something weird regarding the direction the 'beam' shoots and lands. It is shot diagonally upwards, but it hits the enemy diagonally from above. Shouldn't it be a direct beam instead?
Gyarados was planned to be a Water/Dragon type in Gen 1, but since the only Dragon-type move back then was Dragon Rage, which doesn’t do super effect damage Gyarados was made a Water/Flying type instead. But it still confuses me that Mega Gyarados is a Water/DARK type when Water/Dragon would suit it much better

How the heck did you get Dragonite in Gen I
*****
I wanna know how he got one though
Thanks so much for noticing me comment. It means so much to me; and thank you for all the hard work you guys do!
+tails41yoshi you find Dratini in either the game corner or Safari Zone, then evolve them
Scorpionspear77
Oh fair enough
Not gonna lie, gen 4 still holds up phenomenally in 2016
Harry Manocha same for 2018. I'm surprised how dated it DOESN'T look
Gen 3 looks better than 4
Scipio Africanus ima have to stop you there
No.
Draco meteor looks amazing tho
I love the animations used in Gen 6. Spacial Rend and Roar of Time actually look as if they were wrecking reality, but Draco Meteor looks like a rain of giant cereal to me. I loved Gen 4 Draco Meteor
It doesn't look like "cereal" to me.
Hi
Pokemon move fire type
@@chuyrenteria6252 pokemon move fire type
Spacial Rend is only done justice in Gen VI. It actually has that "rend" part.
Was thinking the same thing
Yesss! But i'm bothered abt what they did on Roar of Time, in the anime it's actually a beam. But in gen VI games it's a ball
Joseph Reyes I think it should be more like a wave. Like a sound wave.
The Gray Pet if u watched the movie Arceus and the Jewel of Life, they animated Roar of Time as a beam when Dialga was fighting with Palkia
Joseph Reyes No I didn't and I still think it shuld be a sound wave or at least sound. It's not a beam, it's a roar.
Considering how Pokemon is in my top 3 favorite Nintendo franchises, the new rise of Pokemon videos is awesome. Keep up the good work as always!
Gen IV had some pretty awesome animations
yes
+x Hasan türkmüsün
Evet
Especially Outrage and Spacial Rand.
TheSilverfreeze or any other attacks
Wow you actually did it! Thanks for all of your hard work!!!
Dragon Pulse sure improved over the years. Love the aggressive laser aesthetic over that grey tornado.

dragon hammer gen 7
@@shadowblaze9878 and now dynamax cannon and eternabeam and dragon energy
dragon pulse is really intimidating in gen 6. i love it
Spacial Rend casually getting better and better overtime
THIS IS A WONDEFUL IDEA FOR A SERIES!!!!
Dude, you earned yourself a sub!
Pokemon Battle Revolution? That game made the pokemons moves look fucking amazing
only main-stream games. No spin offs :P
Probably should have used Platinum instead of Diamond/Pearl to show the 4th Gen moves, especially Spacial Rend.
I don't know, I prefer the second whistle sound in the move used in the diamond/pearl version, for spacial rend!
enjoyed the video. Outrage looks different in B2/W2 tho
3:18 - Lol, it seems so weird now! Like hitting Clefable super effectively with fighting moves!
-Racine- you mean jigglypuff
-Racine- or even affecting it with a dragon type move
Very awesome video! The different generations really varied dragon type moves!
Roar of Time's animation got worse with every Generation while Spacial Rend got better.
I'd say that the animation for gen 6 is pretty cool
is not as impressive as Spacial Rend
roar of time got better
Anton1699 ifkr
Gen 5 animation was better than Gen 4 for roar of time imo
Great job making this :P
Most moves look so much better today then they where back then.
Damn I LOVE the Dragon type.
me too
Same :)
Pedro Araújo ste men Haha, no fairy can beat us :)
+David Gómez exactly! ;)
Haha, I love dragon types too!
Fairy types:We have an army
Dragon types:We have a dialga
Special Rend and Roar of Time are horrifying moves, if you think about it. All of space comes crashing down on one target, and you feel all of the pain ever felt throughout all time. Pokemon is pretty dark.
This video was so awesome!!!
Thank you so much!
Now That's What I Call: "How to Train Your Dragon-Type Pokémon"! LOL 😂🤣
I like the idea, but could you maybe show one move in every gen and then the next one? Only if it's not too much work. :)
+The Monster Hunter I'd prefer this way too!
Yeah that sounds like a great idea!
yes!!! i think like you
Oswaldo Bendaña Gomez
I'm glad?
+Oswaldo Bendaña Gomez who me?
how to make a dragon type move:
add dragon at the beginning
Doesn't work for Dragon Ascent
Dragon Ascent is flying
> people who mess up the joke
nah man, there's dragon rag.... dragon bre.... dragon pul.... draco meteor? no that's still close enough...
seriously though, outrage, dual chop, and twister are the only ones. if you take away the d at the beginning it's just outrage and twister, unless I'm missing one, not counting legendary exclusive moves
Except for one move: Dragon Ascent. That move’s Flying type and I have no idea why
Now do it with Normal type moves! (just wanna see how long it will take XD)
Tooooooooooo long.
+Relaxo I agree
it'll be an hour long video xD
Difference between Dragon Fire and Fire.
One is pink....
And the other is orange.
Neat.
Dragonite used dragon rage ! :)
Dragonite looks very angry
Spatial Rend finally had that oomph in Gen 6. It looked so incredibly weak in 4 and 5.
I really liked Gen IV's Dragon move animations. Gen VI's animation were great too. Dragon Rush's was so dope!
Omg gonna love this new series! :)
That Dragonite traveled with you since Gen 1.
Cool! I've been waiting for somebody to do the moves in Gen VI.
Super Mario, the evolution of growing animation
better yet (if there hasnt already been one) the evolution of power ups
Good work, congrats!
Dragon Dance and Dragon Pulse have badass sound effects. Dragon Dance also has a wicked visual. I love dragon types.
Thank you, there were very few videos featuring the moves across generations. I would also suggest you make videos about the way they have been portrayed on the home consoles, since moves like Frenzy plant were BEAUTIFUL in pokemon Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness.
in gen 4, they managed to make dragon rage look so OP
I agree! And the sound too, is timeless! In fact I am watching this video just to see the gen 4 dragon rage
who agrees that Salamance Gen 3 Design is muchmore menacing than Gen 4 onwards?
DRAGON IS MY FAV TYPE :D THX FOR THIS AMAZING VID!!!!!
Please do more!!! I would love to see evolutions of other move typings✌🏽️👌🏽😊
YAY for the best theme ever made :P Zinnia's theme :P
I like how aeroplane-like noises were given to some gen 6 dragon moves, such as dragon pulse @ 5:40.
I love how in gen 4 dragon rush is basically a dragon type iron tail. The animations look almost identical
Gen 6 Dragon Dance has the perfect "oh shit" energy when you see one go off.
if I may suggest, you should use Smeargle for these wherever possible, just name it Nin10Unity and that way you have a series mascot
that's actually really smart.
That would get boring extremely fast seeing Smeargle use every move.
I keep forgetting Smeargle is basically the Blue Mage of Pokémon
Dragon Rush and Dragon Tail looked basically the same in generaion V
And the evoltuion of Gen V to Gen VI is mega impressive, lol
I was going to say that you forgot Dragon Ascent, but that's a flying type move.
I thought Dragon Dance in Gen 4 was a major improvement, but in Gen 6 it definitely looks like a Dragon move.
Gen 6 dragon pulse was my favorite. It looked so powerful in comparison to how it looks now
In gen 1, it was like dragon move didn't exist.
Every time I see the move from Gen V to Gen VI I just can't help but be amazed
Buizel is just like "Give me that cheese bro,GIVE ME MY DAMN CHEESES RIGHT NOW!!!!!"
Nice dragon type moves is so powerful
Ya know what we need, we need some evolution of ridley fights. Throw some metroid in here.
Omg Slugmas sprite in gen 2 is nightmare fuel
I've noticed that you've neglected move animations from Stadium, Coloseum/XD and Battle Revolution in your videos. Even though these are side games, they nonetheless reflect the evolution of moves. You may want to add them.
Outrages animation got pretty bigly changed in BW2 from BW. I think that could have been included
From only dealing 40 damage to DESTROYING SPACE AND TIME
love love your videos
Draco Meteor and Roar of Time in Gen 4 are too sweet.
Dragon Ascent? Good vid tho
Dragon Ascent is a Flying-type move :)
+Nintendo Unity oh yea lol
+David Playz Gamez Rayquaza still gets STAB from it either way and thanks to it being a flying type move fairies don't resist it. It is rather odd that it is flying but it has it's uses.
+David Playz Gamez Nah, it can stay Flying, cause then it'll get a boost from when people hack Gale Wings on to it
Yeah why didn't they just call it Aerial Ascent or something. This is confusing.
Spacial Rend and Roar of Time are so epic in Gen 6!!
I like the end off this remix music right there
Dragon Pulse looks badass in Gen VI. However, Draco Meteor looks way over the top, I like how it looks on Gen V better.
i don't know why but i love the dragon claw animation in gen 3, same with metal claw.
Damn I alr forgot how Pokemon battles used to be like when the Pokemon aren't shown to be breathing
I can't believe that there was only one dragon type move in generation one. I can't believe I didn't know that until now.
same
Yeah, Dragon rage and it only dealed 40 ps of damage..
In a 1v1 with level 1 Pokémon. So op
its also the reason gyarados isnt water/dragon. if it was it would have no weakness because of there being no dragon moves dealing super effective damage
Can you make a Video of the Evolutions of the Legendary Fights in Pokemon or the Champion Battles in Pokemon please?Would be great!:D
Our dragons really grown
Ugh, they're so cool. I wish I could play Pokemon games like I used to. I only got to Generation III and no further because my brother got rid of all our Pokemon games all those years ago.
But why can't the Pokemon run up to the opponent and attack like they did in Battle Revolution? That's what I liked.
I have to admit, most of the moves look a lot more vicious and powerful in gen 6.
Do more like these please!
Evolution of Whispy Woods Battles! (Including King Golem, and all the others)
Do Evolution of Pokemon Pokeball throwing animations (Split them up into parts for each generation) and plz include Trainers, Gym Leaders, Elite Four Members, and the player.
The evolution of Pikachu designs :P
*_Why were dragon moves special back in Gens 1-3 again?_*
gen 6 graphics are so pleasing after the others haha
D O R A G O N C R O!!
I've always thought Gen VI's Dragon Pulse animation has something weird regarding the direction the 'beam' shoots and lands. It is shot diagonally upwards, but it hits the enemy diagonally from above. Shouldn't it be a direct beam instead?
You should have used Black 2 and White 2 for the Generation 5 animations, where Outrage looks like the user is unleashing Armageddon on its opponent.
Just a request, but could you not show the hp bar depleting all the way and then the Pokemon dying? It would save a lot of time in the next one.
3:15:a dragon and its fears
I dont know if it's me or just my personal opinion but I really like the Gen 3 animations for the Dragon type moves, who else agrees on that
Nice quality
Remember how powerful Dragon-type moves looked in Gen IV? Well look at Gen VI
Is it wrong that I find Dragon Rage's animation in Gen II absolutely amazing?
Gen one had so many dragon moves dragon rage, dragon rage,uh um well there's dragon rage
Gyarados was planned to be a Water/Dragon type in Gen 1, but since the only Dragon-type move back then was Dragon Rage, which doesn’t do super effect damage Gyarados was made a Water/Flying type instead. But it still confuses me that Mega Gyarados is a Water/DARK type when Water/Dragon would suit it much better
kirby evolution of sword ability!
Dialga use roar of the time ITS 3:47 PM
i wonder whether this dude encountered any shiny while doing this for the video
As a Dragon Tamer I approve this video.
I miss these videos :'(
nice video
Can't believe a lvl 28 Gloom survived a lvl 100 Garchomp dragon rage
Dragon Rage always does 40 HP damage.
Sorry, never used dragon rage before that's why
In gens 1-3, all damaging Dragon moves were special
Do an Evolution of Fire-type moves!
cool video
