@@chapelperilous9966 It's so cool that you said that! I'm a big Supernatural fan too. You're right, I could totally hear this song in connection with the show. I'm always surprised Karnivool isn't more popular.
No I cant take credit for this mate, Karnivool is a popular Australian Alternative Rock band. Seen them live a couple of times, they're awesome. I simply rendered the song using Winamp's visualiser and a custom preset pack, screen recorded, and used Adobe Premiere to sync the video to the music.
No wonder this is my favorite Karnivool song. It has that emotional drive and bass-centric sound that makes me love Riverside so much! This and 02 Panic Room by Riverside both pack the same kind of punch!
This is exactly why Maynard hates tool fans! because you all think tool are the only band in the world. They have absolutely no influence from tool. Their tuning on guitar is B F# B G B E for starters. They have a 5 string bass player, and their singer is influenced by pop, blues and lots of rock. When you make stupid comments like this it really makes it clear how little you know about music and whats influenced what. Look up all of karnivools influences they mentioned in an interview and shut the fuck up.
But Karnivool themselves said that they're influenced by the likes of Tool, Meshuggah, etc. Where is the problem? There's clearly parallels and there's nothing wrong about it. Using different tunings/instruments doesn't eliminate influences in any way. Only because they're not playing in Drop D doesn't mean they're NOT influenced by Tool or anything. Plus a band can have a plethora of influences and let's be frank, the bands I mentioned earlier surely have influenced a whole lot of bands. Get off your high horse.
Jeremy Read as i said if your world is limited to peoples opinion read the interviews and shut ur trap. otherise enlighten me why tool are worth a mention more than all the other influences combined.
You're probably thinking of Army of Me by Bjork. If you dig the vibes of that song and this one, I highly recommend you listen to "02 Panic Room" by Riverside. It's got an even more savage bass line!
Maybe someone can explain to me how this obsession with using Electronica in music instead of riffs or actual instruments ever sounds better. This band undoubtedly has 2 of the greastest sounding albums I've ever heard!Sound Awake, easily top 5 all time for me. What are we doing here!?
2024!
It's still touching my brain!
Karnivool a very underrated band , love them!
One of their best ever songs... these vocals, that groove and that bass... awesome dude
Agreed.

@@nikkibotts6239 Every time I hear this song I think of Supernatural. Seems like a song they would play during the review of a season...

I'm always surprised Karnivool isn't more popular.
I’ve always thought “treading with a beast” since that makes more sense than piece, but I guess they both mean the same thing in context.
@@decimater75
These lyrics are off the Karnivool website. I agree that beast makes much more sense.
Seriously ! what? This was is tooo damn good.
Legendary.
I have 2 favourite bands of all time...Lemmy's(RIP) motorhead ....and these guys.....Vool Rools \m/ Steve Judd = Jon Bonham

Still totally in LOVE!!!
You guys should check out Caligulas Horse
Sounds kind of like Riverside, both kickass bands in their own right.
I absolutely love Riverside. I'm hoping to see them in Atlanta in a couple months

this song is awesome but it has only 213 likes. I have no idea why it's so underrated.
Crowds focused on fucking not thinking.

Got to be up in the ranks

Yes.
i want to like the video so bad but i don't want to be the one to break the 420'th like D:
What's with the increasing to unbearable levels of distortion starting at 3:40? Does the actual recording do this? Otherwise, epic song.
Yeh that's intentional. I personally like it, but it's of course subjective.
If they play it live, i can only describe it as the easiest and happiest coma you will ever slip into
its intentional and i think it adds so much to the song
the guitar sound is very un-Karnivool
Sounds like A perfect circle
Chicago's still listening 🤑
Could anyone possibly tab this for me? Please. I'm trying to figure it out by ear on guitar and bass but I'm struggling :(.
I can do that for you.
Am I the only one hearing so much inspiration from Tool?
