    Painting the slats black was a fabulous idea!! It looks so much better than leaving them white.

    Word of caution - if you set up thrust reversing, remember to check your prop adapter frequently. My prop adapter worked loose after only a few ground tests of reversing. I didn't catch it, and it managed to depart the aircraft rapidly in flight... In my case it wasn't a big deal, because I was able to dead stick the plane in without issue, and the wayward prop was found, but it could have easily ended much worse.

    Great plane. Still shocks me to watch more than a few American youtube vids with pilots firing up their prop while they are standing in front of it! In Australia all clubs train you to never be standing at the front of the plane once its armed - and to test the throttle while being in front is just… unheard of! Love your vids - be safe :-) No offence intended.

If this is the Skypark area I think it is, I used to fly in 1:1 scale planes with my father from the old airport that the area got it's name from back in the 80's. My parents still live in the house I was raised in about 5 miles from here. Great stuff! Thank you for your hard work. Cheers!

    My first flight with a brand spanking new e- flight foamy valiant 1.3meter.... I was so so so very nervous. You could not have gotten a stick pin up my ass with a jack hammer I was so puckered. I was actually exauhsted afterwards from being so damn nervous.It was not enjoyable but I got the plane on the ground safely after flying the plane and to me that was a major milestone. I was very happy and much less nervous next flight.
    I still have that airplane and it's still flyable.

    Yes, the price is right and the plane seems to be fun to fly.
    But I'm still flying with JR and 72MHZ technology (probably the last one to do so in USA ;o)
    Also I like wood/balsa feeling over the foam technology.
    I did upgrade all my planes from gas to electric (no more cleaning after flying) but I still have many JR 9 channels receivers that I don't want to trash.

    I tried the adjustment indicated in the manual, but the airplane trends to nose up. What is better, reduce the flap deflection or increasing the elevator nose down adjustment?
    I saw that in your video you did not mention the transmitter adjustment on this particular.
    Thank you for your help.

    • @markdaniel8740
      @markdaniel8740 2 роки тому +1

      Reduce throttle. Elevator should be adjusted at landing speed. Lower the flaps and set throttle to maintain altitude. The elevator will control speed. Once the elevator is trimmed for a slow speed a little faster than stall, use the throttle to control sink rate. Small adjustments when landing

      @SharneAndrews 2 роки тому

      Agreed. Its not a safe practice to do so. And of course some people will make poor choices and put themselves in danger - but its our responsibility to take evasive action - call out politely and warn people to please back away for their own safety - choose a safer place to fly or use your spotter (camera man) to go and clear onlookers away. Props can really hurt or disfigure people. Please be safe.

    Please do not do motor test standing in front of your unrestrained plane on the tailgate. Flying with people walking down the side and on the end of your "runway" walking dogs is a big safety fail. Fix your unsafe practices and lack of proper AMA (If you even know what that stands for) Safety rules.

    • @SharneAndrews
      @SharneAndrews 2 роки тому

      Totally agree. It actually triggers me to see this. I’d get slammed at my club for this. Also kids on runway.. that’s a go around, I’d expect to be spoken to harshly at our club for landing in that situation. Perhaps rules are different in America?
