Great video. I am a watch guy and just bought one. I work for an airline. Do you think I can do the flight log in a jet? I know heated windshields mess up GPS signals on those types of devices. Anyway, thanks for the video.
Great video! Seems like a solid supplemental resource to have in the cockpit with you. I'm wondering about the accuracy the pulse oximeter, the new Apple Watch seems to be ok but obvious reliability issues
You don't need a subscription to get weather and some info, but the watch doesn't really have a lot of airport info on it. You can get that info for free from airnav, skyvector, or any number of other sources without having to buy a subscription. The Garmin Pilot app is more for flight planning and navigating.
Yes, the widgets work through the connect iq app on your phone and that's included. The only thing you need Garmin Pilot subscription for is if you're going to use Garmin Pilot on a table and want to upload it to your watch.

The watch can connect to your phone or to wifi directly. So I actually don't know which one it's using right now. Sorry, still new to me. It may switch between both depending on what's available.
Everything is great. But save ur money for a rainy day. U mean people cannot live without this tech. Companies will make such products to make a fat profit. I wish i dont see u guys waiting in Q for free food packets.
@@exploringbyair9250 I kept my Apple Watch. I figured I have ForeFlight on on 3 devices and a G1000 that would all have to fail before I needed the watch. You can’t even do simple things like answer a call using Bluetooth.

To some extent. It'll start the time when you're moving. Just might not get accurate data during the flight. But try it and let me know how it goes!

Just got one. Either the touch screen is locked or it doesn’t work. I can get to the menu, but I can’t unlock the touch screen. Any ideas?
I'd call Garmin for tech help. They're usually pretty responsive.

We have a Garmin discount through my employer so I think I paid somewhere below $400.

It felt cheap and the operating system was not intuitive. Took mine back two days later.
