Thanks for doing a review on a Premium trim. I swear everyone else who does car reviews will do them on like the most expensive trim and with all the added bells and whistles. Good to see a review like this.
rdnyg99 You're welcome, thanks for the positive feedback! I search for base model videos of cars on UA-cam too for the same reason, glad to see others appreciate it.
This is almost exactly the options I want minus convenience and heated seats. I can't stand chrome trim so the more basic model is best for me. Thanks for the review on this model.
I have a question, for the base premium trim, I’ve seen quite a few different headlights. With the DRL, some have the sort of “dotted” DRL, while some have the solid strip DRL like on the base trim SUVs, and as for the actual headlights, some are almost halogen like while some still have the pure white LED like lights. What is the difference between all these...?
In the US, the dotted ones indicate base xenons (or could just be the lowest level LED possible) and the solid strip is the uplevel full LED headlights. We don’t have a halogen option for this gen A4 in the US.
Does the GPS go across the entire screen an change the speedometer to a more digital look? Or is it different models of the A4? I see different things in most reviews
Just got this CPO $30K w 20 K miles Quattro. Basic compared to the higher levels but still luxury. 2017 has 252hp standard, very capable! Apple CarPlay so no need for GPS.
@@abc0583 36K miles now. No mechanical/everyday use issues so far. The Infotainment acts up every once in a while so I just disconnect phone and reconnect.
im 90% sure that the two keys that Audi provides, one of them has a glossy back and 3 silver buttons and the spare only 2 silver buttons and a plastic back. to differentiate the keys incase there was multiple drivers.
Are these sorts of cars generally semi spacious? I am 6'2 and drive a sonata and have plenty of space whether I am driving or not. Would it be similar in cabin space to a sonata or slightly smaller, but not way smaller?
Daniel Martinez I’m gonna go with slightly smaller. Best way to find out is have a seat in one and see how you like the driving position and seats. Height is only part of the story!
@@EricAtMazda thanks. I just got my 2016 sonata and I love it but in a few months I will probably get a new one and my wife will take the sonata and its payments. Seen very good deals for 2017 and 2018 Audi a4 models for under 22k with low miles and it's either this model or a vw arteron (or however its pronounced)
Both nice cars, I’d go for the newer and lighter Audi if you don’t mind the space inside…the E350 is roughly the size of an A6 as it’s in the next segment up.
The 2017 Audi A4 is a small luxury sedan available in three main trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige. A more fuel-efficient A4 Ultra subtrim is also available in conjunction with the Premium and Premium Plus trims. Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque). The A4 Ultra's engine is less powerful (190 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque) but gets better fuel economy.

I agree. Nicely done!
mercmilan06 I like ones like these too great job!
@@EricAtMazda which model has the ambient lighting?
@@codealtf4logn779 The Prestige trim.
Last week my dad test drove a 2017 Audi A4 Premium he loved it.
Nice
Nice review, was looking for a review of the base trim!

Audi a4 premium is affordable luxury.
Thanks for posting this! Very helpful

mercmilan06 thank you!
What is the horsepower?
So if I want the stick a4 it's pretty much gonna look the same as this one?
Juan Meza You can get a fully loaded Prestige model with a manual, Audi was nice enough to not restrict it to base models.

Matthew Valadez The nav only shows up on the screen in front of the driver if it has the full virtual cockpit (no “real” gauges).

Are you sure it’s not 190 hp? Or 201 hp? I have a 2017 A4 Premium and I don’t know it’s horsepower. I look it up and I get 2 or 3 different answers.

Do you notice a big difference with the headlights, also are the tail light blinkers still sequential
TheBroncosfan1993 I only had his car for a day as a service loaner and yes they’re sequential.
With this vehicle, is there an option in the settings to have your speed displayed on the screen behind the steering wheel?
Thomas Holdren Yes
Yes

Does this model year have CarPlay
does the base model come with. apple carplay?
Justin Hamilton Yes it does
Was debating on purchasing a 2017 A4 or a 2014 Mercedes E350. Thoughts and/or suggestions? Thanks

Vermont. That's where I'm from I'm getting the s-line tomorrow
Does it have Keyless Entry? (BASE model)
dizney jnr Pause at 8:26 and you’ll see it is included in the $900 Convenience Package, meaning that it’s not standard but an option on base models.
Does it have foldable mirrors?
no it does not
One question for you, how can you tell the difference between 252 horsepower and 190 horsepower Audi A4 from the look?
There is a tiny little badge on the back of the car that says "ultra". Besides that I have not noticed any differences.
Sam Zhao if it's Quattro it's will be 252hp. Fwd will be 190hp
Audilife No only the FWD Ultra is 192 HP, the FWD Automatic is 252
