Doesn't make sense that they'd release that Ash figure with Ed in the movie when he kills Ed, he still had a full intact shirt, No chainsaw hand just the stump and he only had a hatchet when he killed him no shotgun.

Love Evil Dead II Dead by Dawn it's probably my all time favorite out of the franchise. Awesome review! Brought back so many nostalgic memories of the movie.

Between the deer head and Ash's hand, this video is a great example why all toy collectors should invest a little bit in some superglue. Especially if you collect NECA. I love the guys, but the glue they use tends to be weak from time to time.

I really love the look of these figures... I’ve only got a couple of minor complaints, based on what I’m seeing. Those being; I wish the likeness of the Ash head sculpts were just a little bit closer in resemblance to Bruce Campbell. As well as, I feel like the dear head is kind of a pointless accessory. Because it doesn’t come readily mountable. But, apart from those two things, they’re groovy. My favorite Ash related figure, is the Ash vs Evil Dead ‘Hero Ash’ figure. Which really nails the look of Campbell, in my opinion. Your review of which, thoroughly helped me make the decision to pick him up, a while ago!
On my NECA shortlist: EVERYTHING QUARTER SCALE: Ripley (Alien and Aliens) Power Loader Queen Colonial Marines: Vasquez Hicks Hudson TERMINATOR: Tech Noir Police assualt PREDATOR: Dutch Schaefer (Mud/disguise) with yelling head sculpt! All of these would be guaranteed to sell out for at least the the first several releases and people would absolutely flip their lids for a quarter scale ripley/power loader/queen release all at once. Think about it NECA that's an easy $100ripley/$250power loader/$250 Queen!!! and it's a huge incentive to buy multiple figures to complete a set!!! (whether it be all out once or spread out over time) EASY $600 NECA!!! The colonial marines among vasquez and her smart gun!!! TECH NOIR!!!! (need i say more!?) Police Assault!!! (I've already said too much!) Mud covered Dutch yelling (Easily one of the most iconic scenes of dutch initiating his challenge against the predator)
See, the positives of this set are that Ash has fully articulated legs, a great pissed off head sculpt, the Kandarian Dagger for the first time, and an accurate Evil Dead 2 Necronomicon. Up until this point they used a scaled down, undersized Army of Darkness sculpt that was very inaccurate. Then you got Ed which is great! Never have enough Deadites. To me though, having a Hero Ash that is more fully formed is the best part! I wound up buying the Ash figure loose off eBay first because I wanted the extra Ash when I get the boxed set in hand. One to stand on my shelf of heroes with the rest of the good guys NECA has put out and one on my Evil Dead shelf.
Wonder if Ed's pants could be used to replace the pants on the SDCC 2017 Dutch figure? He wore regular slacks in Predator 87 in that opening scene, not the cargo pants on the figure. Nice video!
it didnt make sense to do it anymore, people would ask how can you give a DC universe figure an 8 when there's tons of better NECA Jason Voorhees figures out there that look 10 times better than this, I know it sounds funny but thats the type of comments I was getting so I just stopped doing it
Ratings are pointless anyway, in my opinion. Numbers don't convey an opinion very well and just complicates things. If somebody gives the figure a 3, does that mean it is a bad figure but not the absolute worst it could be? It just gets confusing. I would rather people just say its great, good/okay, or bad. That gets the message across a lot better.
Because should release a figure from the original 1950s the fly movie, I personally think that the shirt mold and pants mold would work well with the original fly from the 1950s
As far as the Ash figure is concerned, the paint on the 30th anniversary head sculpts is disappointing. The paint is a lot more detailed on the older Ash figure. Thanks for the review.
They are all 3 disappointing, what took a year to get this thing out? Mine fell into pieces out of the box. I had to create my own out of 3 different figures.
Yeah, the paint is poor on all three head sculpts. I'm sorry to hear that your figure was broken out of the box. There seems to quality control issues with this set.

That other figure you refer to is not from evil dead one it's just from the beginningof evil dead two before he saws off the barrels on the shotgun and from the whole scene where he's chasing his hand
Why don’t Neca do the figures from the Thing 1982 like they did with all the Alien series, macfarlane Thing figures weren’t any good even though I’ve got them, the Sota MacReady in Kennel was great but Neca should do the team Palmer, Norris, Gary, Blair, MacReady , childs, etc and a couple of monsters, also Maniac Cop and the good the bad and the ugly set would be a great seller, can’t believe they’ve done the Nun and that Santi from the devils backbone plus loads of other crap they produce , look into some cult Italian films and get some of those figures made, can’t believe they cancelled the Shaw Brothers figures they were doing, they would have been amazing ...
