This is a amazing Neca set that goes great with the other figures they have made. I think years from now it will still be a great set. That book is a very detailed for it's size. The fact that you can open it and see print in it makes me enjoy the work Neca put into it. And who doesn't like a sawed in half head with green stuff oozing out. Love it.
NECA delivers once again with this impressive Evil Dead 2 boxed set. The figures, the book, the deer head and the dagger are nicely sculpted, painted and detailed. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot. I really appreciate the hard work. Keep it up!
Not to get into specifcs. but a few years ago, I lost everything I owned in tragic circumstances, including a rather large collection of MacFarlane Movie Maniacs, amongst others. I've just started to dip my toe back into collecting and started with the excellent Neca TMNT 80's toon sets and their AMAZING TMNT 1990 movie figures. I found your channel then and would watch your Neca TMNT reviews as I waited for each one to arrive in the post, and I love your laidback style and very dry humour!
Between their TMNT figs and bingeing your other Neca reviews (Alien, Predator, Terminator and now this Evil Dead one.), I'm definitely going to be snapping up a lot more as I'm so blown away by what Neca have been doing in my time away! So thank you and keep doing what you're doing!
P.S. I also prefer the smaller 6/7" scale figures to 1/4 and 1/6!
EDIT: Probably in the minority here, but Army Of Darkness is my fave Evil Dead film!
Thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry to hear that you lost everything before but happy to hear that you’re getting back into collecting though. One reason I love making videos is being able to meet others that share the same passion for pieces like this, wherever we come from in the world and maybe our stories are different from one another, having something like this that we find a common interest in is incredible and I enjoy getting to meet new people out there

These are great figures. I picked up the single release of Ash a few months ago at Walmart.

That Evil Ed figure is a fantastic reproduction of Mark Shostrom and Greg Nicotero's work
I'm so pissed at myself for not picking this up when it was out.
I found the Ash ultimate for a decent price, but Evil Ed is expensive as shit now.

I wish they'd done a resculpt of ash's hand since it doesn't have a separated trigger finger so you can't properly have him holding the boomstick. I had to break off part of the trigger guard just to get him to hold it properly. and double jointed elbows woulda been great too.
This got expensive glad I got it earlier now
I know right? this set got pretty expensive after its original release, hopefully for those that missed out the first time, NECA will re release this one again down the road

Um... Spot, I dunno if you’re aware, but the chainsaw isn’t supposed to be removable. It’s supposed to be glued into place. I believe yours may be broken.

that's ok, just a little bit of glue and will have it all fixed

I'm like 90% sure the chainsaw isn't meant to be popped off.
it was supposed to be actually glued, my glue just happen to come loose on the hand, interesting enough though the fact that the rist connector is fully sculpted you have to wonder if the original plan was for the chainsaw to be detachable

Neca dropped the ball not releasing the cabin as a diorama, looking at the aftermarket for evil dead and ash vs evil dead the figures sold very well.

Great details but ash doesn't look much like Bruce Campbell however great attention to details.

You’re not supposed to remove the chainsaw. Usually when things are in a Key shape like that on Neca figures they’re not supposed to be removed. Like my Jason Part 6 figure’s machete holster came off and it had a key shape to it. However should Jason’s machete holster be removable? No.

I’ve never seen any evil dead film
Very fun movies though they are gory, moreso the first one, the second one is a somewhat remake/sequel to the first one and has a lot more comedy to it

These figures are awesome but I'm not a fan of the head sculpts for ash.... I found the detail on the ash vs evil dead figures way better.
No I'll give you that, the likeness on the later Ash Vs Evil Dead figures is better than these ones, these have a slightly more animated look to them don't they
