- Liverpool's Premier League title hopes are all but over after they were beaten 2-0 by Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

Massively excited for what's to come over the next few seasons now and I hope whoever the new fella is makes multiple big changes to our squad immediately.
I'd keep Endo as back-up but we really need a top DM to allow Mac Allister et al the freedom to play their natural games.
We need a new Fabinho - someone tall, athletic who can win the ball back and score a few goals. I think we need to be signing more taller and physical players like Man City whereas we seem to be playing small slight players who get outmuscled too easily.
We needed a top DM in the summer.. didn't get one in Jan either. Typical.
Neil. Just call it out man: we were never in for it. 3 horse race?? It’s over. This side never looked like a title winning side. All wins were really pulling rabbits out of the hat for most of the season. Whereas City/Arsenal really were /are battering teams. Defence has been shoddy all season leaking goals. and we lack the quality in a lot of positions, mostly upfront. You can’t win a league like that. Performance vs top 6 is awful. all markers were very clearly showing us that. We are a bang average side. Klopps got poor tactics, found out again. Bridesmaid FC for too long. We need Edwards to really sign some high quality players or we are finished for a long while. Also need a better tactician - can’t do high intensity bollocks in EPL - it’s not sustainable. Hoping LFC Board can recognise that.
The forward line needs Major surgery. Salah is giving me major Mane vibes. It’s time to cash in. Hopefully someone with money comes in for him. Nunez will never finish well enough for us. With Diaz we need to figure out if it’s the way we’re playing him or that’s his output, as the output isn’t enough. We do need a 6 who can also play as an 8 and in defense we need a left footed CH. who can bring the ball into midfield and maybe also a left footed Gomes type which means at least one of our full backs needs to go. Finally we may need a backup keeper

We need to evolve our playing style aggressive counter pressing by itself isn’t the way forward. We need to mix styles better and manage games better. We should really consider adding another player to the midfield maybe 343 - finally, we need to figure out how to get the best out of TTA. And macallister as they’re our playmakers

Losing 3-0 to Atalanta, 1-0 to Palace and 2-0 to Everton at such a crucial stage of the season is bottling it on a massive level.
We need to get a new Stricker next year.
People talking about 6/7 changes are living in dreamland.
We just changed our midfield last summer. I think we’ll bring in a CB, CF and a FB and hope to get CL footy next season.
2 centre backs are needed.
6 new players ( especially strikers ) needed @ Anfield .
The fact half the comments in here can't spell players names correctly, probably tells you how much validity you should put into UA-cam comments.
Tough period coming at the worst possible time. Just hope we can enjoy the final few games and secure 3rd.

Still, it made thier season anyway. It's a while since I've seen us quite so ineffective in ALL departments. SUCH a shame.
In a season of 'rebuild', I guess we've pretty much punched above our weight so finishing 3rd (hopefully!!) and winning some silverware is pretty much a good season...

Nunez hasn't been good enough from day 1 and still isn't good enough. Agent of chaos for 85m is a nice way of saying he's clueless, touch & finishing are terrible. Ya can't keep missing those blatant chances without demoralising the rest of the team ..it started against Utd in the cup game and has continued and simply permeated the team. Nunez has to be replaced. And, given the state of his contract, so does Salah. I personally would also cash out of Diaz ..but that's just me.
And for the avoidance of doubt, the new coach needs to take Trent aside and let him know that he has to defend and has to head the ball when it's in his area ..as a starting RB your first priority is to defend with intent and not just leave the dirty work to others. Klopp has let Trent get away with this for far too long!! Also permeates and demoralises the team to see a senior player opt out of key defensive actions just bc ..
Trent arguably at fault for BOTH goals .... stop playing him rb its obvious he doesn't want to be there
I don't fault him for not beating dcl in the air bt what I can't accept is him not even attempting to challenge dcl .. the lad literally pulled out of going for the challenge and he does this every week that's fuckin just not acceptable! Absolute disgraceful example for a vice captain to be setting and he should be stripped of that role immediately! and don't get me started about him for their 1st goal just stood watching from the corner of the area when vvd is trying to deal with 2 players at the back stick where the rb should be!
Neil Jones explain this for me ...Alisson makes 3 saves from Olise, Ete Mateta, from under 8 yards, they are great saves,. When Henderson & Pickford make exactly the same saves against Nunez , Salah & Diaz, these are all classed as misses by former LFC donkeys carragher and Owen .conceding
Liverpool have just hit the wall. They have nothing left. Had to go to the well far to often this year & it’s caught up with them. Think the 2x Man United games have got into their heads as well. Just need to try & finish as strongly as possible to give Klopp a great send off.
There's no excuse for playing players who are exhausted or out of form, though. That's one of Klopp's flaws.
Salah, Nunez, Konate, Jones, Szoboszlai very very poor😢
Klopp should have been immediately placed on sick leave after handing in that team sheet. None of those players should have started.
If Arne Slot should come, maybe that will encourage VvD to add on a couple more years, and sporn on our other 2 Dutch boys. He also believes in coaching and developing the youth.
I like Slot, as a person, and his game style, plus he is at a well run club that carries the same sort of passion as we at Anfield do, and he is loved by the Feyenoord fans, just like we love our JK.
Seems to me like an ideal fit.
But he's not the kind of big name that would make big players want to stay.

Bitter pill to swallow, that game. Downed tools, lacking conviction, low energy. Not clear what the players expected but they seemed unprepared.
Will be interesting to see how these last games play out given nothing to fight for.
Crap way for Klopp to end his career at LFC, IMO.
It's normal for players to down tools when a manager is leaving. It just goes to show how little they care compared to the fans.

The League is still possible, just not under our own steam, it's now all up to the "other two" slipping up.

I have never liked Nunuz and probably never will, if we have to keep him, then as a super Sub.
Once again, I would of liked to have seen young Danns coming on for the last 20mins. I'm sure he would have not been less than what was already on the pitch.

When Darwin is obviously so low in confidence, doesn't look capable of scoring, why not bring on Jayden Danz. What could have happened? Rather than liverpool fans being forced to watch that abject surrender
That's what happens when you keep subbing him off and playing a donkey like Gakpo because the pundits say he misses too many. The number of games this season I've seen the whole of Anfield drop, on and off the pitch, when he's gone off is incredible.
