Alwyn Cashe, Medal of Honor - Speaking of Courage

In November, 2005 Alwyn Cashe fought through intense pain to save the lives of his men. For his actions he was awarded the Silver Star but he deserves the Medal Of Honor. Hear his story on Speaking of Courage Podcast.

This presentation of SFC Cashe made me remember why we replied to our Drill Sergeant Candidates with ‘…To the end…’ when they sounded off with:

I'll continue to watch! 1CAV! DEATH FROM BELOW! 4/5 ADA! If you guys can get any information on the death of SSG JIMMY HAWS from 'Desert Storm, I'd appreciate it very much! He was killed on 2-20-1990 days before the ground war started but his name was never mentioned. We were told that he was the 1st soldier KIA in the ground war! He was our brother and we want answers. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
