After having a bad accident in my Lamborghini i decided to rebuild it myself & today i finally have it rebuilt enough to take it for its first drive!

Kind of a weird observation and comment but I wanted to give you props as one of the many thinks I love about your channels is you never swear. Matt's positive attitude towards any problem or issue that arises used to baffle me. I thought he was putting on an act, or on some very strong drugs. Then when I saw Matt's dad it all made sense. Their relationship is such a great aspect to all his content, something that is not shown enough in today's culture. We're all so used to dads being miserable, critical old gits towards their sons. Matt and his Dad break that stereotype.
No matter how crap my day has gone, a Matt Armstrong video always puts a smile on my face.

21:24 cv joint has a circlip holding shaft, also cv joint is inclosed with that metalcap. With a flat screwdriver can be opened if you wish to see how they are assembled. (basically its not a normal cv joint) To close the metal cap on cv joint best is to use lathe to close on o-ring. Transmission side tends to brake ball cage.

I feel your fustrations! Ive only got a van, yet the engine has different parts for different years.. WHY? 6 different thermostat, sensor and hose configs. So its not just super cars. I never comment, love the channel. Brings me back to the days of watching wheeler dealers 😅

In GT3 with Audi R8 we use run up hubs and they bolt on like a wheel to hold the whole assembly together.

Mat ... There are several ways to remove a CV joint off of =drive= shafts= First is a cir-clip, clip, . where you use cir clip pliers to open and remove the clip.
Second is put the shaft in a vice and whack it "as you did" , but you didn't use the vice .. lol
Third is some shafts have a thread in the middle of the shaft where you put a bolt into it and wind it in and it pushes the shaft off of the drive shaft.

Should definitely add the 4WD back in for stability and control. Might actually be more fun for going to the track, with the right ratios it might be an absolute track weapon.

You know, that rear CV joint may not be broken unless it was chewed up, might just need re-assembling. Unlike most driveshafts these don't pop off with a hammer. The circular bit that the bolts go through splits into two parts.
If you hit it with hammer, rather than splitting it, it will pull the BB's out from the race and end up exactly like yours did. The clip isn't the normal push fit so the axle still won't be able to be removed from the race so will stay held together, but now spins freely. It may be damaged but from I saw it's not guaranteed and you might be able to keep it. And if so, I would, the CV joints are hideously expensive for these.
Source: Did the exact same thing with my R8 CV joint. Tried to split it with hammer.

Putting a rear bumper on is the way to go in my book. I’ve always liked the understated clean but still exotic style of the Gallardo. Keep it a lady on the street and a beast under the engine cover.
