I just got one of these yesterday. I'm brand new to flying as of 2 weeks ago with a Sport Cub. Today, my second day of owning the Carbon Cub, a spectator asked me how many *years* I've been flying. "Maybe 1.5 hours." I was just happy to not crash the thing. Beginner mode is amazing.
It's really great to see a young lady take to the air in this fantastic hobby of, RC. Your cute little plane flys well, however it is subject to the wind, due to it's light weight. I'm a long time RCer, going back 20 years plus. I fly Pattern planes, and extreme aerobatic types. My pattern is Focus Sport, with the fuse at 72", and the wings at 65". Weight at 12.5 lbs. I built it 8 years ago, and it flys like it's on a rail. For aerobatics, I have come down to a German foam plane, the Hottrigger 1400. Flys great as well. I have my FAA Private license as well, and have owned full sized. My last was a Grumman Yankee. Look them up. I do so love aviation. I'm also a retired Medical Engineer. Best to you in you pursuit of flying, but watch out. This could lead to you wanting to get your own FAA license, then next comes your own Cessna 152, or such. Need any advice, or questions, just ask.
Been watching your videos for over a year or two and I see your getting big into planes . I was big into rc car and now just got into drones and so fun being in the air 😀
Aw thanks! Yeah I've been doing some brand ambassador stuff with horizon so I got the chance to try out some beginner planes and also have a few more advanced ones to work my way up to (Pitts s1-s, convergence). It's been a ton of fun! Glad you're liking the air as well
Nice cub, good landings, I have the gps on my birds, im thinking of disconnecting them. If you crunch a foamy, or crack one, you can usually glue em back together using toothpics, and foam cure glue. Acrylic paint hides a multiple of sins. Great Job RC Girl!
A well done video, thanks for sharing. I am thinking of getting into the hobby so a beginners perspective was most helpful. Good luck with your new plane.
Happy New year to you as well, nice flying plane and great video. I had the original version , the red n white , I literally flew it till i wouldn't fly anymore. Than re built it and gave it away at a indoor fly that we where having, Some 11 year boy wanted to learn how to fly , but didnt have the finances to get involved , So me and my buddy gave him the plane and a older spektrum radio and battery. He parents got a little teary eyed . Its all about getting the younger generation into the hobby. Keep on flying your doing an excellent job. Stay safe
I can tell you have experience in crashing, "it's still in one piece." "that's a good thing." 😁 I have this plane as an RTF with the GPS system in it. It came that way in the beginning. Very cool for teaching a newbie. They can't get too far away before the plane will return overhead.
What! No planes yet?! You might not want to open that can of worms though... lots of scale building going on in the plane hobby. ;) I've been hosting RealFlight 8 multiplayer sessions, let me know if/when you get it!
I bought one of these last night. I like the fact that you're nervous preflight as I know I will be. I kinda get tired of watching experts review beginner planes and tell me how easy it is.
I just discovered your channel which is very nice. Great content and thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve been flying quadcopters for 5 years now but it’s I only recently that I started to fly RC planes :) what a feeling it’s great. So many things to learn and discover. For me the landing is the most challenging and I’m practicing with 2 channel aircrafts 😅 I’m already looking for the next step and this Carbon Cub seems to be a perfect choice to learn. Thanks again for your review 👍🏻
Great job! I did my rc maiden flight with the ParkZone Sport Cub S2,which is the exact same airframe as this cub. With the exception of the receiver and the paint, this is the same plane,it even has a Parkzone motor and servos installed in it.I didn't use a simulator or buddy system,I just went out and flew it,and it flew great, but I misjudged the distance to a tree line on my final approach and landed in a tree.Mine does have AS3X,which is nice, but no SAFE or GPS functions.I maidened in May 2018 and have broken the tail off twice and the nose off three times, but I finally got the hang of flying, and the cub still flies pretty good. Now I am looking for my next airplane and can't decide on what to get,too many cool choices out there. Thanks for your videos, they are great!
Awesome, great to hear your flight progression. Yeah there are a ton of great options out there. Do you want to stick with bush planes? The 1.5 m timber is awesome!! It has safe select (so just two flight modes), flaps, floats (included!!) and can be used on a dx6. I used my own money to get that one!
I want something larger than 1.3m for sure. The Timber is very high on my list as is the Grand Tundra and BushMule.I need something faster and heavier.I have a fleet of fpv planes once I'm ready for that, but want to get into edfs soon.My goal in a couple of years is a true turbine powered fighter jet.I worked for 40 years as a lisenced A&P mech.and love airplanes, especially turbines.I just retired and need to smell jet-fuel again one of these days.lol.Really a low wing sport type plane is what I need, but we will see. Thanks!
Love my carbon cub s+! My first plane and i just love it. Oh yea, some getting use to alright, but fun. Great video as always....so much help. Be safe out there!
The thrill of flying is what makes it exciting, unlike many of the RC units out there you just can’t stop and correct something you must work to keep it in one piece till your on the ground. You can turn this plane on a dime with your ailerons in advance mode.
She's so good at doing her checks, which is the right answer. I usually plug the battery up, move my right thumb in a circle and discus launch the thing.
Highly recommend a Bixler 2 pusher prop plane w no landing gear or something close to a semi glider as your first plane. The Apprentice is another good plane.
this is a great plane but if you want something that will fly almost the same get you a sport cub S with safe .. its tiny .. handles crashes well and is just awesome for the price. also you can upgrade to 500mah batteries and fly for 30 minutes.
Thank you for making this awesome video. I am going to be hopefully buying this plane soon. I am a beginner plane pilot. I have never flown fixed wing before. I am a very experienced quadcopter pilot though. I was thinking of the sport cub s, but it is too small and I want a plane that is big and durable.
Happy New Year. Nice to see you flying again. What a pretty aircraft and I love the large fat wheels. They make for nicer landings and can handle different types of terrain. I notice you like rudder turns and so do I. A lot of people just bank and yank as they call it just ailerons to turn, but I like to turn keeping the aircraft more level in the air with just a little bit of banking. For me just makes it look more realistic. All I can do at the moment is watch everyone's videos because we have a couple of feet of snow on the ground. I have a few new aircraft I have not even flown yet besides my Radian XL 2.6m wing span which I have only flown once last fall. You must try a glider. For a lot of people it is probably too slow to look for thermals and they mostly just power it around like a normal aircraft, and it can be a little boring for the viewers if one plays with thermals because you can stay up all day lol. That is how i started out was with gliders using the high starts and all. A lot of work. With today's technology, you can power your glider up in seconds and shut off the motor and just relax and have fun chasing the thermals. You have to try it this summer. The only scary thing about gliders is when you get a huge thermal, and next thing you know you are getting up above the clouds, and even with the spoilers out find it hard to get it down. The secret being just fly away and out of the thermal until you get out of the lift and finally can come down lower. Then you can sigh a huge WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ... LOL .. Thanks for the nice demo of a beautiful aircraft and Happy Flying.
Just got one of these and for some reason, it won’t bind to my DX9. It starts to bind then just flashes blue rapidly. Had to bind it to the aero scout transmitter.
Hi, RC Girl I've been watching your first flights and your doing a great job Re presenting Horizon Hobby. I'm kind of a beginner I started when I was young back then Horizon Hobby wasn't around just local hobby shop. Where I spent the allowance I got on beginner rubber band planes with the paper that goes on the outside. Lately I've been flying the Apprentice STS from Horizon Hobby I love there airplanes we go flying every weekend with my son in law and my son who is very good he just bought the Timber Turbo STOL and he's really good. I'll keep watching your beginner show's there very informative Thanks for the information and keep flying it's fun and always use Horizon Hobby there the BEST this is Michael signing out, Bye
I have one of these and I can't say I would buy it again the biggest issue I have with it is it does not stay bound to a transmitter I have to bind it every time I fly which is a tad annoying
Great advice about not making a GPS airplane your first plane. (unless you enjoy a techy challenge)Yes they can for the most part land themselves but they can't see trees and powerlines when they are trying to line themselves up for final. Pay close attention to the flightpath the plane chooses for itself. You may have to intervene! Like you alluded to there is much more to comprehend when using the GPS features. Keep those instructions! The Apprentice has been around for many years for a very good reason. I have the old Parkzone Sport Cub S2 version of this plane. It did not come with Safe but it did come with AS3x. A few years back I removed the AR636 Rx and replaced it with a FrSky Rx with telemetry since I hate using timers, and added an Eagletree Guardian. The Guardian works similar to safe but it also allows you to be in a sort of "Safe" mode that auto levels the plane whenever you release the sticks. Even with this mode enabled on the Guardian you can still do Rolls and Loops unlike safe where you have to switch between modes to get the same sort of safety net. I work in a hobby shop and highly recommend the Eagletree Guardian especially for planes without Safe. There are other features as well that will help make 3 D flying easier if that's your cup of tea. You can install one of these in a plane that is not suitable for a beginner and make it much more beginner friendly. (Do not install in a plane that already has Gyro stabilization like AS3x without first replacing the AS3x Receiver I can only imagine that bad things will happen when the AS3x trys to fight the Guardian for Auto leveling and overcoming wind.)
Horizon Hobby was so cool when I told them that my cub went haywire and flew away. they had me send a photo of my receipt and what I had left and then they sent me a completely new plane. and it was in my hands in only like 2 weeks. I was very pleased with their customer service. and this plane is very fun and pretty simple if you can pass the exam for the manual. some of the commands are like impossible fatality codes. nevertheless, this is, or was an excellent beginner RC plane. Im certain my plane flew away into federally restricted no fly zone right towards Hanford Nuclear Plant. I was sure I was going to have the feds at my door( i had all my info on it). captured it all on my gopro too. Tried to chase it for about 5 mins and then lost sight of it. Good times!
Happy New Year Hayley ! Congratulations on a successful maiden flight ! It’s great to see you enjoying the hobby so much. Looking forward to the day that I see you doing a video flying a 90mm EDF jet ! 😃
i just flew mine for the first time.. why use rudder at all in beginner mode. i just turn with the ailerons, as you said, it will mix in rudder on its own
Its a good little model and you guys flew it nicely. A hard surfaced runway is harder to take off and land from that short grass, but if you want to get a nice straight take off try opening the throttle a little slower. Both you guys opened it pretty fast and the torque from the prop takes over turning it to the left like you saw there. I have the tiny eflite grasshopper which is very light and it does the same. I fly off the beach and open the throttle slowly, as soon as the tail comes up and the tailwheel can no longer keep the plane straight from its grip on the runway it swings badly, but with a little practice you get the hang of catching it with the rudder. Its good to practice being able to run along the ground with the tail up keeping the model straight with the rudder. Rudder is your friend with high wing models, and important to use in take off and landing, but its usually the last control people get the hang of! Best of luck and happy landings.
avipatable All makes sense, but this model isn't that simple. Unlike other tail draggers, as soon as the tail lifts up it likes to bounce and spin out. Even with great rudder control, it just doesn't have enough authority at lower speeds. This is why it's throttled up faster than most other RCs. Perhaps toeing in the wheels, a more efficient prop, or dampening the springy landing gear could smooth it out. RCGirl can fly the timber and other planes, tail up, perfectly straight. This tells me it's more likely the airplane than the skill of everyone who has tried it. Good thing it's a STOL plane so she can get away with short takeoffs. ;)
Ah yes, springy landing gear on a hard stony runway won't make things easy. My step dad has the red version of the carbon cub, but I have only flown it from grass. I accidentally toed in the wheels on my little Durafly Spitfire and it rendered the rudder almost completely useless on the ground because as soon as weight is transferred to the "outside" wheel if it starts to turn then as it is toed in it makes it even worse. I now have them very slightly toed out so that if weight goes more to one wheel it tries to go outwards and return the weight to both. Not sure if its the right thing to do, but so far its back as it should be..
@@avipatable Haven't tried it on grass yet. There isn't a lot of grassy areas available to try it, sadly. Typically slightly toeing them in works well to correct small bumps. If it gets off course, one wheel goes straight making it more efficient while the other gets more drag, this brings it back to center. I toe in my float rudders on my big float planes for this reason and this is why surfboards have tow in fins on the outside. It's just a self correcting mechanism. Only issue with toe in or out on wire landing gear, like this cub, is that the landing gear can "spring" making the issue worse. It would be interesting to tie the landing gear ends together with a wire to remove the bounce and try again.
Ah you have to go with what works I guess... seems to be a contested topic elsewhere with people on both sides of the camp! www.rcuniverse.com/forum/questions-answers-154/10865518-main-landing-gear-toe-out-neutral.html
Happy New Year to you and your flying helper. Everything you said about the Cub S is true. I have the older brother to this Cub and it is interesting on takeoff but it will teach you to use the rudder and ailerons. Great video with a lot of good information. Can't wait to see your next flight with the cub.
Nice video and nice plain. My experience was after flying in the beginner mode (with self-leveling) the leveling still happens a while after switching into one of the more advanced modes. This delay is a bit dangerous because you do not know when it happens.
I was going to purchase this from Horizon Hobby but then someone recommended the new apprentice sts ($100 more). The new apprentice doesn't come with the GPS tech. Which do you think would be the best first plane for me? I have zero experience and no flight simulation experience.
Emmanuel Butmankiewicz Apprentice STS is much bigger (1.5m wingspan), heavier and more stable. But the battery of Apprentice is 3c 3300 mAh, which is bigger and more expensive than Carbon Cub’s 3c 2200 mAh battery.
Hi RCG, I found another, this one, of your videos and you delivered another "RC Girlism", "When in doubt, round about." I love your narrative as you fly.
I like tail draggers as they require slightly more skill than a tricycle undercarriage. My takes of pretty straight... you have to anticipate on rudder depending on wind and how much power you apply for take off. I have the Hobby Zone (I think) version of this and I love it. Very aerobatic.
im 12 and when my dad let me fly his sport cub s2 i got it in the second day. idk how, but i've been flying for 3 months now and im doing side spins, spindles, knifing, and all sorts of things with it.
You had plenty of space for GPS mode. I fiy in a field 100 ft wide, 200 ft long surrounded by trees and loaded with hawks. Makes for very challenging flying and I'm far from a pro. Good video.
RC Girl you rock! RC isn't just for guys anymore. I really like electric flight for it quiet and cleanness. I've been returning to the sport after a very long time away. I really like the direction RC is going.Too bad foam dings so easy. My guess is so they sell more planes. I would like to see more soft field take offs and landings with Cub! Keep up the good work. Love the videos!
I noticed a DX6 on the table while you were showing the plane, but you actually flew with a DX9 so you could use the flaps. I can’t find anywhere, a good set of instructions or a video on setting up, binding and flying with a DX8 or 9. Any chance you could put something together?
Supposedly if you run the newest firmware and an ar630 reciever you can run flaps because it has an auxiliary channel and technically is 7 not y channels and you can use a dx or ñx6
This is a cool ride ! I also taught myself with it . However , LOL.. it’s now time for the 70mm viper it’s a nice stable ride and I’ve never flown a EDF ever !!! I went from this Carbon to the viper. SAFE is a must with first couple flights & I’m now switching it off.
Nice plane and review, its alittle under my level, but might get one for my son down the line sometime. As for me im not a fan of the gps, and now neither is my son, but thats all good, since there are others out there who need and want it. Keep building you're ability with planes, looking great!
Yeah I don't think GPS is needed. I figured that folks who can figure out how to program/setup and use the GPS should already know how to land and thus prob don't need it. I think it's cool though that companies are trying to push the hobby forward and explore different technologies.
@@RCGirl yes indeed, the calibration dance is not something first glance beginners will even think about. Whats worse is you have to do it perfectly or it'll freak out on you.
This is my first plane it is hard to set up with GPS and g/o fencing I did it wrong on my maiden hit return to home and stuffed it 85 foot up a tree. There was a bit of damage and I burnt the motor out got it down 4 hours later. I find it takes off and lands perfectly on grass also when used the autoland is perfect, there is a high and low rate switch which you did not mention. Keep up the good work I enjoy your videos.
I don't think this was the planes maiden flight since you said someone else flew it and trimmed it out for you. It would be interesting to see and know the reality of the first flight out of the box. What trim was needed where? We're any mechanical adjustments needed?
I bought this plane RTF which came with a transmitter. I love it but if I want to buy this plane brand new again , can I use the same transmitter instead of buying the transmitter again?
Another excellent review.. thanks 👍😊. Nice plane, .. well flown. 👍 Seems to have plenty power the carbon cub. Having never flown a plane, maybe the mini apprentice might be a better option for me. I’d imagine it’ll seem weird after being used to the controls for helicopters & quads lol. Always fancied having a go though, best be prepared to dive for cover !.
Hi, and happy new year! Knowing that you actually read the manuals impresses me. The majority seem to throw the manuals together with the wrapping before they start accusing the product of being difficult when things starts getting complicated. In my job it is important to know one's limitations, so I always read the manuals twice. This makes me wonder, are you also an engineer by profession?
Hi Hayley, Happy New Year. That was my choice for you poll. You made a very good landing, but the bumps made it appear to be bad. Hope you have many more flights and safe landings. :-)
I love this plane and have flown it many times with no issues. Today while flying it just suddenly turned and flew away into the horizon and I could not do nothing to try and get it to turn around! Any ideas or has this happened to any of you?
Happy New Year to you, and thank you for a nice video as always! Are the bush-pilot tires made of hard plastic? Maybe softer rubber tires will make the landings softer, but maybe softer rubber tires in the same size come with a higher weight penalty? Nice acrobatic capacities at slow speed, just what I want in a plane of this type. Good it is lightweight and have a strong motor, it makes it easier to get airborne fast on a rough runway, this is a plane for me I think, your video convinced me, thank you! Cheers.
They are not hard plastic but they aren't super squishy either. I'd say like one of those hand exercise ball type foams (does that make sense!? haha). I think the Timber has better landing gear/tires for sure, and is easier to land/take off. Holds a line better. But this plane is still super fun.
Ive never flown and was thinking of buying the sport cub S. Is this plane available with floats so I can fly it at my cottage, or can you suggest an easy plane to fly with floats.
there used to be a rc airfield in my area and they closed it down because the people that live in the condos near it complained about the noise from the planes
Just came across your site, Hi from Scotland. Great filming and flying although I thought you perhaps were flying a bit far away... You have better eyes than me I guess. Keep doing the flying,...You will be doing Helicopters next and a lot of rebuild videos as its part of Heli learning thank you.....oops sorry just seen your blade heli video.
No. The instructions are pretty clear for both the DXe it comes with in the RTF package or how to bind with any other compatible tx. Have you got it figured it out yet?

Haha hopefully someday!

Which is better mini apprentice s2 or carbon cub?
It would be great to compare this to some of the other RC taildraggers out there for beginners and intermediates. Thanks for reviewing.
i just flew mine for the first time.. why use rudder at all in beginner mode. i just turn with the ailerons, as you said, it will mix in rudder on its own
Its a good little model and you guys flew it nicely.
Thanks! What is the older brother to this?
I have trucks, boats, and planes. Planes are fun because they are more challenging then cares and boats. But I like anything RC. Good Job.
Yep planes are definitely more challenging!
.. Best wishes for a Happy New Year
..
.. I wish you a big hit this year👍 ..
Thanks!
This is a grate flying plane, and I believe it is one of the easiest to fly, gut the gps and fence and I believe it is better.
Happy New Year great review of the plane...just noticed you have your own Tees now great job on your channel and to continued success in 2019 💥 💥
Thanks! Yeah I got a few shirts printed for the AMA expo 😀
Here it's two years later but with a tail drager you need some right rudder on your take off roll out👍
The rtf transmitter can be used for the flaps too...nice flying
Hi RCG, I found another, this one, of your videos and you delivered another "RC Girlism", "When in doubt, round about." I love your narrative as you fly.
I like tail draggers as they require slightly more skill than a tricycle undercarriage. My takes of pretty straight... you have to anticipate on rudder depending on wind and how much power you apply for take off. I have the Hobby Zone (I think) version of this and I love it. Very aerobatic.
i just ordered my carbon cub, thanks for the videos!
IT'S NOW 7/27/20!!! LOL LOVE YOUR AIRPLANE VIDEO'S. MORE PLEASE!!!
im 12 and when my dad let me fly his sport cub s2 i got it in the second day. idk how, but i've been flying for 3 months now and im doing side spins, spindles, knifing, and all sorts of things with it.
You had plenty of space for GPS mode. I fiy in a field 100 ft wide, 200 ft long surrounded by trees and loaded with hawks. Makes for very challenging flying and I'm far from a pro. Good video.
hi,thanks for the video. We have an issue,we burned uo the motor, tried to replace it and that one burned up. Any ideas ?
What batteries are you running in it?
Happy new year. Nice plane. Soon it will be summer again, time to loose the shoes 😶
thanks for the review maybe I will start with the rf9 simulator and the mini Apprentice for a starter.
Where is that RC park located? Looks like it combines a flying field with ground RC crawling.
Happy new year!
Very good Video
Super landing
Best wishes from germany!
Thanks, happy new year to you too!
Supposedly if you run the newest firmware and an ar630 reciever you can run flaps because it has an auxiliary channel and technically is 7 not y channels and you can use a dx or ñx6
Can't you use 6 Channels and flaps , if you don't use the GPS?
Where can I find how you programmed your radio for this plane
great channel!, but im still looking for an rc girl. keep up the good work!
You fly good i get nervous to i only been flying for one summer, i wish i lived somewhere i could fly all year around but now i am on hold for winter
I've never flown and I'm starting with the f16 Thunderbirds maybe or the f16 eagle
@@brettcoyle2399 How did it go? Depending on the model I dont think EDF is to hard to start with, or even use as a second plane.
@@joshuasterling2144 haven't gotten it yet lol be sometime in March waiting on our taxes
That's what I was worried about! And good point about dual rates. I forgot about those 😏
Wow, sorry to hear. Glad you got your plane back
I don't think this was the planes maiden flight since you said someone else flew it and trimmed it out for you. It would be interesting to see and know the reality of the first flight out of the box. What trim was needed where? We're any mechanical adjustments needed?
Why are the wing struts curved in different directions?
They were assembled improperly!! haha whoops
Awesome girl this is my first plane to play with thank you from Aussie land
I bought this plane RTF which came with a transmitter. I love it but if I want to buy this plane brand new again , can I use the same transmitter instead of buying the transmitter again?
Sorry just seeing this, but yes you can use the transmitter, you'll just have to rebind it
It would be nice if there was a video showing it being put together and setting ip up for the RTF version.
If i buy rtr version with the gps module do i have a activate it or can i just fly normally?
Another excellent review.. thanks 👍😊.
Nice plane, .. well flown. 👍
Seems to have plenty power the carbon cub.
Having never flown a plane, maybe the mini apprentice might be a better option for me. I’d imagine it’ll seem weird after being used to the controls for helicopters & quads lol. Always fancied having a go though, best be prepared to dive for cover !.
Yeah for a first plane I'd go with the mini apprentice. Maybe this as a second plane.
wanted to see your build video,,, half the fun of the hobby double thumbs up!!!!
There is nothing to build. This is a foamy, no building skills needed.
Haha nope, marine biologist!
@@RCGirl, then I know about a perfect drone for you. Take a look at www.blueyerobotics.com
Good comprehensive review, good start for a new year
This model so cool !! Love that landing wheel
Hi Hayley,
Happy New Year. That was my choice for you poll. You made a very good landing, but the bumps made it appear to be bad. Hope you have many more flights and safe landings. :-)
Aw thanks, yeah I thought it was pretty smooth but this plane gets kicked off course on a bumpy runway. Happy New year to you too
love watching all your videos and how too you are the best and adorable too, keep up the great work
Aw shucks. Thanks! 😀
I have sealed my Carbon Cub with Foam Amour. That helps a lot to keep the surface clean and prevents little damages.
I like that 👍😀 I have the old version the Sport Cub with no safe but I think it’s really cool 😎 Happy New Year from Italy 🇮🇹
Mines coming tomorrow im so excited!!!!!
awesome vid as usual. great job girl!! i subded a long time ago!
I love this plane and have flown it many times with no issues. Today while flying it just suddenly turned and flew away into the horizon and I could not do nothing to try and get it to turn around! Any ideas or has this happened to any of you?
Keith Beck were you flying in gps mode ? if your Geo fence was up should have turned back to you
Is it any faster then the super cub that they made I have that one I believe it is the super cub s
Yes, the super cub is brushed, this is brushless.
You presentation is very good ...
I am in Pakistan and wish to have this as my 1st RC Electric plane
RTF
I think a bit of masking tape in the obvious places ahead of time would prevent some of that road rash.
Damn that was a great landing! Nice Job!
awesome...so glad you're getting back to planes.
Yep got a bunch more to review!
Ive never flown and was thinking of buying the sport cub S. Is this plane available with floats so I can fly it at my cottage, or can you suggest an easy plane to fly with floats.
Here's the part number for the floats that fit the carbon cub: HBZ7390. You can also get floats that fit the sport cub as well: amzn.to/32Y3ppi
What radio did you bin d with
Beautiful Landing! Enjoy your channel with the mix of ground and air content.
Thanks! Yeah it seems most folks are either into planes or into surface rigs. I like both!
there used to be a rc airfield in my area and they closed it down because the people that live in the condos near it complained about the noise from the planes
Aw bummer! Yeah ours is supposedly going to be developed soon.... 😭
Very nice video. Do you know how large the fence is while having the GPS on?
Hello RC Girl,
I'm debating whether to get the Mini Apprentice S or the Carbon Cub S+ 1.3M
Which 1 do you like better over all? Thanks
Get the Carbon Cub S+. You'll thank yourself later. You got this, it's not that hard. Go for it!
Hi RC Girl Question ? I have this Cub an with deactivating the GPS with the Home button still work or does that only work with The GPS ?
Just came across your site, Hi from Scotland. Great filming and flying although I thought you perhaps were flying a bit far away... You have better eyes than me I guess. Keep doing the flying,...You will be doing Helicopters next and a lot of rebuild videos as its part of Heli learning thank you.....oops sorry just seen your blade heli video.
hello .somebody can help me I have this nice plane.the Carbon cubS+ evething ok .but the motor is not active.no power
hey I did the same thing when I put mine together but in your video it looks like the bars under the front wings are put on backwards 😋
Does the GPS have to be disabled to bind?
No. The instructions are pretty clear for both the DXe it comes with in the RTF package or how to bind with any other compatible tx. Have you got it figured it out yet?
Can you buy different batteries to have longer flights? Also what's the longest flight time you have achieved?
I think 12-15 minutes? Yes you can get a slightly higher capacity. I run 2200mah compacts in this
Cubs are such fun to fly in RL, and you get that fighter pilot feel cuz of the stick control :)
What a real honest and nicely graduated review.
