One more comment, and I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this, and for all I know you've been in talks with him, but Cleetus should do stuff with Horizon Hobby. He's even got his own full size Carbon Cub now.
@@NonTypicalRacingCleetus might not put out content that you’re interested in but he’s definitely not overplayed. His channel covers pretty much every type of vehicle, ground, water and air full scale and RC. They’re also just a fun group of guys to watch. He owns an airport and a racetrack. Collaborations between him and HH would draw lots of folks.
What a great video TJ it’s so great to get to get people together to pull a epic adventure off… this was a awesome idea can’t wait for the next video to come
I feel like I wish I could have been there at the very first phase to say, "Don't forget to make it light, and very slow" Like, small batteries, small everything, trim weight, etc. Maybe even a lighter motor in the nose so you can come in nose high and stalled out almost. I also feel like FPV is so much easier for going slow and "feeling" the plane.
Is it worth making the flaps work on the carbon s2? I just got it and the hobby shop told me not becuase it doesnt do mucb with the strips on the top o the wing
It is simply impossible to redo this in the same relative size. Model planes needs much more relatively speed than real planes because of the less Reynolds-factor of the smaller wings.
I fly my sportS almost every other day. High wind. Small driveway. I feel like I could totally land this. Edit. I see they started to slow way down. Nice.

Horizon Hobbies should come out with a limited edition Redbull livery for the carbon cub.

If at first, you don’t succeed, try, try, and try again. Congratulations you did it. 😊

You guys have to come out during one of their events. Either FliteFest or Edgewater events.
Cool video! Is that a marlington dukes letterman jacket I see in the video!!? I am a Marlington grad😆

You guys should have invited Pilot Ryan!

At present I have 41 full battery flights with my carbon cub RC. Still very much learning but trying to get better at it.

How come no pilot ryan there?

Easier if you stand downwind further so the landing spot is in your line of site during the whole approach...
