What do you think about this MASSIVE Xbox leak?
Don’t like the “digital only ecosystem” with no disc drive. But I like what I see but also feel bad for Xbox. This is essentially corporate espionage…done by the government haha
FTC sues to block MS. MS sues the FTC. Oh my
@@madmardigan3321Xbox could use this to their advantage to get future acquisitions easily approved
Im not a very big whats inside the box tech guy. So what makes the console a refresh? Is it faster? Does it give me better graphics? Is the series x just an all digital but the same internals? I dont see how that's a big deal.
Good leak
I've worked in R&D for thirty years, while this might be MS plan for now marketing will likely update it next year. I can say from experience, when marketing says we want to release product "X" in five years with these features, those "features" will keep getting updated utill the point of final tooling. So while MS plans to go all digital in four years it doesnt mean it will happen.
I hope not, because I won't be going all digital that's for sure.
Why hasn’t anything from Sony massively leaked that’s a good question to lead with here.
their future console has been leaked
@@mullahgaming9446Sure, their refresh has but not their entire 8 year plan. Disgusting.
@glenmcl hahaha keep crying fanboy 🤡🤡🤡
@@ArielCleirigh What "monopoly" are you talking about?
Becasue they are simply more competent than M$....?
Honestly I feel as if the FTC need to be held accountable for this. Alittle fucked up they lost the case and “accidentally” leaked this or mishandled censorship of owned evidence or documents. That’s the real question.
Thats what concerned you about this leak? Not the fact that Microsoft's greed and desire to monopolize the entire gaming industry was just revealed? I cant......
What does greed even mean. Companies exist to make money.
Xbox leaked it by accident.. not ftc
@@singingseph7179 Don't forget who put Microsoft in this position. Sony alone.
Why does everyone have to pay for Xboxes trash roadmap except Xbox they're the ones who leaked it anyway seems like poor management has even spread to the legal team 😂
Someone at the FTC should be held accountable for this and lose their job..this was an attack against MS
CORRECT TOTAL ATTACK ON THE COMPANY ALL BECAUSE FTC LOSE ALL CASES. FIRE THE CHAIR LEAD. SHE SALTIEST
I think the Ellewood 1tb Xbox console is the Black 1tb Series S. This document was created before the Starfield and Redfall delays. They probably shifted the timelines to match the launch of a new console model (1tb Series S) to go along with the Starfield launch. The Brooklin 2tb Series X probably still happens but not until late 2024/early 2025 to go along with some other big game(s). We already know the cloud device (on Phil's shelf) got put on the backburner as Phil confirmed it himself. The handheld would be interesting to see come to fruition as since then, the Steam Deck and ROG Ally have launched. There's a lot of stuff that has changed since these documents were created so just keep that in mind. Things could've gotten shelved or cancelled or changed timelines.
I’m really curious on how Microsoft is going to clean this one up! This is going to get crazy going forward
not their fault, FTC to blame!
Microsoft should just do a hostile takeover of Sony and kill them off.
@@Episode_13 Not true. A Microsoft employee accidentally did this.
@@codeen66at that level, there are know accidents
They will just ignore it and quietly change some plans internally.
Ahhhhh man with these documents leaking like this can Microsoft take legal action?
Yes
No because the court case is public
@@MrBeefTot187 no the fu-ck it's not
They’d need to prove intent, which is probably not possible.
The FTC case is trash. The FTC is trash. Just letting all of Xbox secrets out. I do want that new controller though
The whole US government administration at this time it's pretty questionable
@@dannypassionwhat are you talking about the government has been doing well do you know anything about the government the FTC has and will always be a pain
I suspect now the FTC lost their case maybe they leaked the information to spite MS 🤣
@@antoniobandaroif they did then thats another L for FTC. This only reinforces Ms/Xbox. Good news good news
@@dannypassionThey are doing a hell of lot better then under the last guy.
The FTC are spiteful losers who leaked this to screw over Xbox since they're gonna win the ABK deal. Now Sony knows what their planning has time to course correct and that sucks. Also your right these consoles are not mid gen refreshes but basically similar to a PS5 Slim same power as the old Series with new look.
What do you expect sony to do when a company can spend their net worth to buy everything? Lol ...there is absolutely nothing sony can do to compete since Microsoft has been allowed to buy everything. They're worth 90 billions do you think they can spend 70 billions to acquire 3rd party publishers too? Can't beat a monopoly.
If that was a person who just leaked all that, they would be prosecuted and most likely face prison time.
Awful tactics cause they lost.
Lmao settle down 🤡🤡🤡
It would be funny if the refreshed Xbox consoles used the same speed or faster SSD than was in the PS5, just because they could.
wow😮😮
It wont, also ita not just the SSD speeds its the architecture around it. The PS5 doesnt have bottlenecks in ita speed that way. So theoreticly the speeds of the SSD can hit 22 GB/s.......xbox wont be able to touch that.
I just want 2 or 4 buttons on the back like the 3rd party controls have. Those are amazing and it would help a lot with giving developers more options.
If they ever do that, I’ll leave gaming.
@@paintfatpurple7394 why?
Dude......lt cant possibly confuse you that much. Its on a whole other level when you never take your thumb off the right stick (aim) stick. Especially multiplayer. Im 48 and its a game changer. My wife picks up my contoller and its immediate anxiety with the extra buttons.....😂. My K.D have improved and it makes total sense why its a benefit.
When your hitting your jump your not aiming at me bro. Ill take that advantage all day. Thats why they call them pro controllers.
@@Herringboner who cares
I'd assume "hybrid game platform" means always online and using the cloud to do the more expensive computations.
I would say that the Xbox now is very much a hybrid system in that you can play it as a traditional console and you can also stream via cloud.
@@Donald_Allan This is true, but I think the future they are envisioning is one where the cloud is a fundamental part of how many games function.
Honestly the second the court case was underway it woulda been prudent for Microsoft to operate under the assumption any and all documents would be made public at some point.
I believe they were ready for this
The hybrid console means client / cloud computing, they spell it out right there. Now whether it'll amount to something remains to be seen. I doubt it. They tried that with Crackdown 3 and failed miserably. Relying on internet is tough, not everyone has good internet and i doubt that will change considerably in 2028. I bet there will be the odd 1st party project but the majority of games will continue to run localy on the machine itself, only.
Crackdown 3 didn't even have the cloud computing technology it was initially supposed to have. Once Epic somehow bought out the rights to Crackdown 3's defining feature, the game was left without its core, thus resulting in the bad game we got. A Crackdown 3 with real-time destruction utilizing cloud computing would have been great, probably.
That cylinder design look is like a Mac studio almost
That color design of the controller looks like the loading screen got stuck at 25% 😆
Absolutely great video my guy
There’s some leaks as of late. All Xbox exclusives releasing on competing platforms. Any comments?
Lmao😂
That new controller better have a quiet dpad. Hate the current controller clickiness
Yeah I hate the clicky d pad 👍👍
Yeah the clicky D-Pad is awful. Any 2D game that would be better with a d-pad just feels awful to play on these controllers. I don’t know why it’s so difficult to copy their competition
Another great video as always Rand
Well I can see Xbox suing the FTC in the future for this leak.
Hey Rand. You could emergency podcast with the other xbox youtube community. This is big news worth a gathering. 👍
Hearing some Starfield ship system beeps and bloops through the controller might actually be alright.
The 2028 next-gen date pretty much confirms to me that Elder Scrolls 6 is likely going to be a next-gen launch game.
I cant wait
Yes but it will come on the seriesX too tho
And it will probably launch at 30fps on the next Xbox 😂😂
@@cristopher8186 Lame troll, who cares, I’ll be playing it on PC.
When is the Xbox elite controller coming out ? That sounds pretty sweet
May 2024. Series S August 24, series x okober 24
sweet@@redman7684
the hybrid console will probably be something like a switch or a dockable handheld gaming pc or alternatively something involving mobile integration or a new mobile device. or maybe its a dual screen gaming device
Console with local DL & play but certain areas streamed from cloud (AI, NPC, larger textures, etc)
Xbox pioneered impulse triggers in 2013 so it’s about time they got an upgrade and an only all digital series X is a bad idea.
There should be a console for disc and a digital console like what SONY has done. For people who want a all digital console could buy one, that`s a good option.
Guys, what's the racing game at the beginning ??
Finally Rand decided to do a video instead of coasting off his podcast
I am happy about the control having gyroscope
Starfield was the first game I actually felt like the Series X was worth it for. Now we're talking about next gen?
This is not next gen. This is just a refresh of the current Series X.
Do we need to call an emergency Xbox 2 podcast?
Looks like Jez picked the wrong week to go on vacation.
would the "dual sense" also work on current gen xbox series? i would love that
Don't be sour. It's a great feature. Love to have it on Xbox as well
@@ArielCleirighliterally how everything else works. All the phone company copy paste and car companys too. Its just the way it is. In the end it doesnt matter what who did it first but who does it better.
OK.
Haptic triggers, fantastic, otherwise it's just another abandoned feature on PlayStation.
The most important features are cross supported:
Analogue stick (n64)
Dual analogue stick (DC or PS1?)
Analogue triggers (xbox i think?)
Standby power. 80% less? Fantastic, standby is 10-12 Watts on my series S!
That's crazy high.
7:15
Who was genuinely saying haptics aren’t good?
Haptics are preferred. Switch has had them since 2017… iPhone since the 7
Many Xbox fanboys were bashing haptics, calling it a gimmick. Watch them all of a sudden start loving it cuz Xbox started doing it
Good to know I shouldn't be expecting an Elite Series 3 controller this holiday season -_-
Next gen in 2028 is fine with me, also the new controller looks good to me, will get that hopefully it will work just fine with my current series x. I haven't bought 1 game all is digital, bit kind of like the round series x, but if the same thing then i will stick with mine till 2028.
All I want is Elite Controller 3 lmao
Not sure if the new refresh is worth another $500 for me but I would gladly get an Elite 3
the hybrid console is like a Nintendo's switch , that's what i get from that, because what would they use the arm processor? just like nintendo with the switch , they used arm processor so they have better battery life
RandalThor19 you shouldve used "MASSIVE" like Marlon instead of BIGGEST
Everyone is freaking out about this leak, while Phil Spencer is chilling playing Starfield. 🤣
It will just have a support you set it in if you lay it down. Just like the ps5 does currently.
Maybe the back of the new console has a flat surface on the back so you can lie it on its back.
So I’d be able to use this controller on my Samsung TV while have haptic feedback on ?! I’m in !
The digital only thing is a deterrent to me. I don't want to wait a week to play a game I just bought, all because my internet sucks and the downloads are so massive.
Sorry but the world is heading that way. It just the way it is. Digital is taking over and the need to provide physical will become too expensive to support a dwindling customer base interested in using it. BTW you definitely must have the worse internet ever because a 120GB file using a measly 5MBps would only take 6 hours and 40 minutes. So, unless you have dialup, I think you are exaggerating quite a bit on how long it takes to download something.
Xbox buying Nintendo makes zero sense considering how they've mishandled Rare over the years.
Personally if their discontinuing the only console that has a disk drive is a bad decision because it flys in the face of their entire back combat initiative, currently discs from prior generations act as a key so you can acses that older game on your new console and if there is no longer a disc drive it makes that entire program irrelevant and culd fors people to re by old games that they already payd for.
I don't know about the series x refresh, i mean, if you don't have one already then yeah, go for it, but I'm keeping my series x because i use it as a media player for blue rays and don't want to lose that feature. I could be more interested in the new controller though.
I also use my Xbox horizontally, so this rounded design is going to be chaos for me. Might as well just add servos, sensors, and wheels and let it clean the floors while I'm playing. 🙂
I just want rear paddles and replaceable parts to become standard for controllers
No never they are awful
What game is this?
If Xbox goes all digital they will probably sell a disc drive to be added to the next gen consoles as an option. Xbox is too focus on backwards capabilities
Maybe not even by them, but something similar they did with Seagate and the memory cards at the back of the Series Consoles.
@@Shywhitefox I can see that happening
is saying it has 16gb of ram is that double 8gb??
If the mid gen refresh was more powerful i'd be interested
So the FTC can't be sued for it? Where is the Playstation leak? 🤔🧐
Ngl, i'm shaking in the boots wondering what they'll call the refreshes, the current names are already a mess
I think the dual sense haptic feedback is good, and it’ll be good on the Xbox as well. However, I would like the controller to have a gyro controls as well.
Good battery life
@@dannypassion elite 2 has great battery life, 40 hrs
Wait it's not even going to have gyro? 😂😂😂
@@thepews1511Nope, I got excited when I saw the word accelerometer but that’s not referring to any kind of motion control it seems
Nope. Sony gyro is hardly used and adds cost.
Looks like a Sharper Image Air Purifier
I think they will sell an attachable disk drive. I honestly prefer an xbox with more storage by default.
If consoles go all digital can we still buy games digits, without Xbox live or ultimate because I don’t want to do with anything with online anymore
Anyone know why Rand al Thor stopped uploading?
All digital future is so sad to see for Xbox
Rand needs leaks to make videos
It ain’t a leak if we already knew they’d make another console eventually lmao
- Zen 6 is rumored to be a combination of X64 (Big) and ARM64 (little). ARM is very efficient, could run the OS/Dashboard, cloud integrations etc... leaving X64 for running game code. Maybe they try to leverage the little cores for certain gaming functions, but hard to image currently, it'd just be added complexity for devs unless the "tools" were able to do this automatically. You never know though, ARM has come a very long way. Currently Zen 4 is X64 & X86. The X86 is for backwards compatibility with 32-bit applications etc... X64 has been around for a very long time, dating back to the original Athlon 64 for desktop Windows PCs. If you look at Windows it still refers to all the X64 libraries as AMD64. Intel was still 32bit at that time.
- ML Based Super Resolution. Call me crazy but didn't MS brag about their ML for this gen and how the Series consoles had custom silicon for that purpose that ran along side the normal shaders etc... I think Jez even did an article about ML for Xbox. Huge miss that they haven't used that if all that stuff was real.
- New XSX is overpriced, should be $349 tops. That 2TB drive costs them LESS than half the price the OG 1TB drive, the 6nm process costs them LESS, the reduced size costs them LESS, no optical drive costs them LESS. Everything about this costs them less, but we get the "Same great prices $499". Sorry, I'd sooner have the OG disc version even though I rarely buy discs, I have a lot of older games on disc that work in my OG XSX. I hate marketing like this, and this is exactly the non-consumer friendly marketing nonsense speak we can expect if MS get's too strong in gaming (I really hope I'm wrong btw..).
Interesting. It would be funny if thw whole industry shifts to ARM. Its sad that these PC handhelds are forced to work on X68 because of steam and windows. Those handhelds would do sooooo much battery with battery life if they were ARM or RISCV based. X86 is archaic 1980's garbadge tech which has ran its course. Apple shows how laptops and desktops can run fully on ARM based chips. Steam OS should be easy to port over. I can see Nvidia set a new standard with nintendo for the mobile handhelds and AMD needs to follow suit! PC is dead
@@SWOTHDRA Windows already runs on ARM, so does *NIX based OS's. Not a stretch at all that you could get Steam OS working well on it. Basic ARM though is no match for the FP that X64 can produce, as you know they'd need specialized code paths for it, doable but someone would have to do it. Apple has indeed shown what those types of paths can do, the problem is when you fall outside of that specialized path it falls on it's face. An example in gaming would be the old 3D Now tech that was in AMD's K6 processors. It allowed them to compete favorably with Intel back then as long as the game you were comparing utilized it. When they didn't the K6 got destroyed. Time will tell, but I wouldn't be surprised to see ARM take over eventually, it does have so many advantages over the antiquated X86/X64 processors.
@@SWOTHDRA ARM is from the 80's too. Originally from the Acorn RSIC machine released in 1983. ARM isn't that save the world architecture you think it is.
Doesn't the series x already have the same things except for the 2tb?
Its pretty obvious that unless your a Nintendo only fan then most gaming has been heading more and more towards digital copies of games and gamepass and ps plus extra ect.If you want your games physical in the future then its a switch successor console for you,you can still buy a disc ps5 and a disc xbox series x so if it bothers people that much then buy those disc consoles in the next year or two before they dissapear for good.
I'll believe cloud hybrid games when I see it. They made the same claim during the Xbox one generation, and we all see how the flagship game for that, Crackdown 3 turned out, not to mention you would probably need decent Internet to pull it off. BUT, if they pull it off that has big potential to change our gaming experience. I'm cautiously optimistic.
You do realize that there's cloud gaming if you have game pass right? 🤦♂️😐
I just got done playing gears of war 5 on my phone last night...
@@yammak2004it’s not referring to cloud gaming on your phone bimbo
@@yammak2004 cloud gaming is not the same as cloud-hybrid gaming. The likes of Titanfall was a cloud-hybrid, and that saw very limited AI through the cloud. Cannon fodder. We're talking making a game that runs part of it in the cloud while the rest is processed on your hardware. With latency still a real problem, and poor internet infrastructure in a lot of places, I wonder how feasible a hybrid game would be. Then there's the question of how or if a game like that would work with pure cloud gaming... I just don't know.
@@evan9424 Yes, it is. The only difference is they're wanting to sell games over the cloud which I don't agree with. I love playing them on game pass but it is the same.
I think Microsoft changed plan and will only release the new controller and the series X digital.
Watch MS change all the plans quietly behind the scenes haha. XSS Elowood looks like that 1TB Black Series S , That controller has prob been changed, the release dates of the games have been pushed back and who knows about that XSS refresh now. The doc is from May 2022.
I wish they would put digital audio and hdmi input on the IO like the One X. Uggh
Actually it so happens that someone at Microsoft did this
Why are you not upload any videos now?
Damn, it's all cool, but it saddens me that they are going "all-digital", I still prefer physical editions for collecting games. And also you can buy game on release, and if you don't like, you can just sell it without big loses, it's really convenient
That controller looks like it wearing an uncomfortably short skirt 😳 😂
I don’t believe Gamepass will ever reach 100 million subscribers without being on the Switch or PlayStation.
Sony and Nintendo are irrelevant and just for children.
EOL means End of Life, i.e., model discontinued.
So no Xbox themed Handheld console then 😢
What’s the point? You got steamdeck
I think the FTC is going to pay BIG time. This was not accidental. MS needs to sue BIG TIME. With that said, I actually like what I saw... with the exception of the Cloud BS at the end.
@@ArielCleirigh LMAO! You muppet that isn't even remotely true. How is sony on top and the #1 in the console space if MS is a monopoly? That isn't possible and they did not copy paste the dualsense, it looks like it is better than sonys controller. If anything sony is the one that copies microsoft constantly especially with ps+ they just suck at it.
Nintendo is sacred in gaming world, dont touch them
Don’t think so, hostile takeover means nothing they can do. Spencer and big tech will have their way and there is nothing you ponies can do
Is this Crew footage?
I figuered theyll make the Series X a digitally version sooner or later bc the previous gen Series S digital is bottle necking a lot of new games.
Doesn't make sense when they are still going to be series s and it still going to be cheaper option
@@kenroyforrester156 yea i saw that and went wtf. Why tho should make the all digital cheaper. and scrap the Series S.
@brianshrimp5824 they won't the series s sold a lot it makes 64% of Microsoft sales in the market so the best option is to continue that transition
Not really excited about the next gen console requiring online use and being a hybrid cloud console
This doesn’t move the needle for me. Sounds like the console isn’t any more powerful, simply uses less power with better components for those who don’t use a wired connection.
i want a disc drive i use it for movies
The Brooklyn refresh Xbox series x isn’t worth it for me, I have a drive so I can watch my 4k ultra dvd collection.
Going fully digital is not something I want and to have the same spec in terms of cpu and gpu makes this a waste of time and effort.
Cloud hybrid games are the hybrid child of Forza, Titanfall and Flight Simulator running where your playing
Why would they stop making the Xbox series s with the drive when they're still selling physical games?
New xbox is a good value IMO. More storage, controller with haptics, no drive, etc...Jim Ryan's playstation pro. ("premium console") $600 minimum.
I swear if I didn't know better, someone at the FTC is on Sony's payroll.
I wouldn't rule out some kind of corporate espionage, to be honest.
Most of this were known or rumored already, so i don't think any at MS is raising any eyebrow.
The day they end physical copies is the day I stop doing business with them
That mid-gen refresh looked super underwhelming. For anyone who owns a series x already it would be stupid to buy the mid gen refresh.
Glad I don't use Xbox for anything more than Forza and Emulation. But the minute theyngo all digital only I'm out.
Seems odd to announce a disc-less Series X that's in a different form factor after just releasing console wraps that won't fit the supposed cylinder shape.
If you have a current series X you won’t need the need referesh
@@liamflan9553 True but unless they have a new wrap style coming it means that only people who buy the disc version of the Series X will have the option to use the wrap. Something that their direct competition (Sony) doesn't have a problem with since the side plates for both the disc or disc less version of the 5 are the same.
New gamers don't care for disk drive but long term Xbox fans wouldn't take this well. I think keeping two options(S/X) is the best way to go.
The audio is distorting, you should record less hot and compress
