Correct decision bulu bhai. I also feel auto transmission is the best idea for a touring bike. And buying 2nd hand is the 2nd best idea... new one's price is really scary btw.
When it comes to refinement of Engine, Honda is smooth and gear shifts are soft like butter. I and my friend used to ride 150 cc CB trigger on worst roads of Chikmagalur District, clocking 100km/hr. Very few may remember that bike, but I honestly feel that bike deserves decent share of market. And good to see, appreciating suggestions of Kotaru and JS in the video.
Greetings from Texas. Congrats on choosing and buying the AT. I bought mine about a year ago and half ago and have clocked 15k miles on it. Rode to Baja California in Mexico for my first long trip. AT is a pleasure to ride and feels more like a dirt bike offroad. You will not regret ypir decision. Wish you many more Kms of pleasure on the road. Cheers!
Such a honest video. 👍 I was in your position few months back and exactly these 3 bikes were on my radar. 😉 Hope to see you doing long trips on this bike once everything gets back to normal.
Very thoughtful and awesome review. I replaced my Tiger clutch plates for the first time at 80,000 km service. Chain sprocket at 50,000km first one, second one replaced at 80,000K. Wear and tear parts completely depend on how its used and maintained. Clutch freeplay needs adjusted frequently at least every 5-6k km, else it will wear out fast. Chain, if cleaned and maintaned every 500km, slack adjusted every 5K km, it will really last for a long time...
Other Vloggers: I bought this bike because it was cool Indian MotoVloggers: I bought this bike because my wife let me buy it 🤣🤣 Edit: But bulu Bhai rocks
Bro I like this video a lot, for everything what you had in ur mind were going mine too... And U took a proper decision.... After all you speak all real facts off all brands. Based on discount all other utubers fall into a trap like Jatt and Json... Ur cool ........................................
ur analysis of buying this bike is fantabulous bhayya....njy the rides on this legend and hav more fun.. very much happy for u from the botomof my heart... congratulations bhayya....
nice fella , you dont need to big up your choice pal , the older 1000 is a great bike in its own right and has dropped a lot in price , i was lucky enough to get a 2020 1100 Adventure Sport but if i had been in your position , i also would have just got the 1000 and been very happy with it , enjoy your bike pal , i know you will ;)
The first reason you gave sums up the reason for you to buy an Africa Twin. The cost per kilometre is low as compared to Triumph and BMW. Otherwise all these bikes are great. One thing that makes Africa Twin shine is the way it handles off-road. Ofcourse they are Dakar champion but that was a long time ago. On highways and in the urban jungle it can be a bit uncomfortable the way it rides. Great that you bought what you thought is the best choice. Kudos and Congrats.Keep it up.
Bro excellent coverage on purchase of Honda Africa twin. Really nice you pursue your hobby and you have reached to a logical conclusion to continue with this motor bike for its reliability factor. Actually one learns a lot with experience. I WISH I can also pursue this hobby, as I have a sciatic back issue which gives me trouble. Wish to meet you someday and hear your experiences personally. I am a serving army officer.
Just went through this video, Bulu... A beautiful one, well sorted, excellent clarity and description of the thought process.. also following up with your current Ladakh trip... Ride safe, take care.
The good thing about the video is you didn't exaggerate any info & it's really honest one bec. I know this bike very closely .... Wish you good luck for more travel ahead with this gem machine
I watched ur interceptor vs 390 adventure video and honestly wanted both but now u got me thinking with the Africa twin. My bro has the BMW 1200 GS and I thought it is quite big but your perspective on the Africa twin interesting. Will explore this option and possibly look for a used bike.
Your story made a lot of sense Bulu. I asked you on instagram a few weeks back if I should buy the 390Adv or the Vstrom 650 and u told me to go with the VStrom. I bought it 2 weeks before the lockdown and I felt it was really bad timing to buy such an expensive bike, but like u said man, if I had waited, it would have never happened. That was the most reassuring part. Enjoy your AT AT. Hopefully our paths cross someday and we ride together. We live in Bangalore anyway
Never say Never again. You'll definitely buy lots of other bikes In future Bcoz of the passion your carry for Bikes and Rids. Congratulations For the new bike ❤️.
Brilliant video and exactly what one needs to see if they are planning to purchase a superbike. I have plans to buy a superbike but I am not buying as the reason very well mentioned by you "service cost". Regular wear and tear parts like tyres and chain sprocket is enough to make one sweat
Hello! Haha when in the start you start sharing your thoughts ( as being practical ) , that it's such a task to convince your family about buying a bike. I actually liked it and laughed because that struggle is real 😜 Good decision..an inspiring little story Take her for a long spin. Cheers man good luck, God bless!
Bulu bhai very well explained... I loved the way you narrated the entire story... Shows how excited you are for the Africa Twin.... All the best for the unlimited kms on it... Cheers
You operate the same way I do! I make my decisions of vehicle purchase based upon my family needs as well. My best purchase motorcycle wise was a Honda pc 800. Why? Because my wife could sit comfortably on the back. It was minimal maintenance and was good on fuel. Thank you for your down to earth attitude. Much respect from an Englishman who has an Indian master.
On another note, Honda has grasp the auto gear technology at a different level and that reflects in their across product range, starts from Activa to all other product, I have personally rode many KMs on my wife's Activa, and it never made me felt uncomfortable in any situation, specially when I needed to tackle road situations where power delivery needed most.
Bulu vai it was great watching your video during the lockdown.. After watching your buying experience even I am feeling like I should buy the Africa twin.. 😁😁..anyways congratulations for the bike. And it was wonderful video... Ride safe brother..🏍️🏍️🏍️
Hey Bulu, Congratulations on you Honda Africa Twin!! Wish you lot of wonderful rides on it. I get exactly what you say, wrt "Expense" - Maintenance, Even EMIs, "Huge Bike - It looks somewhat intimidating, esp if you're on the shorter side", " Electronics - I too prefer old school, easier to maintain, less probs as I'm not a tech sort of person too". These are all very valid points. But yes, end of the day, it all boils down to what you can afford & what suits your needs! As the saying in English guess, "One man's food, is another's poison!" Anyway, be that as it may, wish you lots of pleasurable rides on your new bike. Now what of the others in your stable? Versys, Expulse etc?
Great video bulu bhai. I thank god for making you so much capable to live your dreams & I'm living my dreams by seeing you!! All the best & may be someday I'll also ride a Africa Twin along with you..
Bhai, you are such a great man so down to earth, no attitude and straight talk unlike any other youtuber. The way you talk and explain is just amazing. Keep growing bhai and keep making such videos. Your videos and achievements motivate me that: " Yes, I can also do something and represent my state Odisha". Love ❤🙂U And Lastly, Bulu Bhai rocks... (*my father's nick name is bulu 😅)
I'm so happy that you bought this bike bullu bhai. I'm a big time honda fan. And you being one of my favourite youtubers riding a honda is a cherry on the cake. Ride hard, ride safe. Love you❤️
Very interesting story behind owning this Africa twin in your life ... almost like a short story for a possibly good for an ad or promotional film on this product, I would like to make a short film if this can be converted into story line and Honda possibly supports the same :-)
No probs bro, I had been touring on my Motorcycles since 2003, even till some days back I was not able to afford, its always a slow n gradual growth in our life. And trust me that is permanent.
Hello bulu bhai...your narration shows the love towards your new ride Africa twin♥️..very nice story of discovering your new bike and discused with youtebers like sriman, jsfilms, and many other frnds shows how down to earth you are,...great👍👍have a great and safe ride....👌
I've been watching ur videos as a part of study that am doing about bike market in India..I am an aerospace mechanical engineer from Honda based in Japan but also an active member of its racing team..yes I am an Indian and I design..what is astonished me is here no good road, sloth traffic and higher fuel price but despite of all bikes are being sold. It's unique...usually we honda people don't expect much for our superbike segment here,so we are more into commuters and there we have won...be safe and show others the right path🏍️
Bulu bhai main apka bada fan hun.. influencer ho to apke jaisa...u r d reason I decided to go for interceptor 650 over street triple Or z900.. story of buying a Africa Twin is awesome 💖
Bulu Bhai you made the best choice! Many people in India don't know much about the Africa Twin! I am a fan of Africa Twin and I'm happy that I get to see you on that handsome tall Honda!

Can see the hapiness of yours after riding Africana twin. Love your videos and you way of explaining things. Love you and God bless.
The best part of the video:- the smile and happiness you have after owning the Africa twin, in the end of the video.

Why did the Chinese picked corona virus over ebola and swine ??
Bulu : less maintenance long range
China will face war may be, it's not easy they country president and government need to be responsible

You story telling is mind blowing..just love it
15 year old Africa twin are still running around. BMW and Triumph don't age well.
Nice content...eye opener on the total expenses and your better half is very supportive nice to know that, it makes half of the battle win😊
What a detailed video Bulu Bhai. So proud to have done a few rides with you.

Africa twin is quite comfortable as compared to others bikes like tiger
My height is 6’2” but I cannot afford the Africa twin
Me too
No probs bro, I had been touring on my Motorcycles since 2003, even till some days back I was not able to afford, its always a slow n gradual growth in our life. And trust me that is permanent.
Try ktm 390 adventure.
@Kartik Chauhan but then, its affordable for most of the people. Unlike litre class bikes that costs a bomb.
